For good quality and authentic Thai food, Thai Square is a safe bet. I blame my upbringing in the Far East for my weakness for any cuisine from South East Asia!
We ordered lots of dishes to share between the six of us because food envy sucks, and besides I love sharing food out over the dinner table- plates going back and forth over the table, rogue forks picking up one more morsel…it’s the good kind of chaos. So with 6 people sharing, there were a lot of starters to be had. We had the soft shell crab with mango salad, grilled king prawns and scallops, and fried golden sacks filled with minced prawn and chicken.
The have a fun cocktail list, served in huge glasses. Mekhong Iced Teas and Sex in the Jungles were drunk- mine looked and tasted like a melted ice lolly,
The rest of of our meal arrived soon after. We ordered some coconut rice, lamb shank Mussaman curry, spinach with ginger and garlic, duck with tamarind sauce and grilled pineapple, black cod with sweet chilli sauce, and a bowl of delicious Pad Siew noodles.
We ordered a classic Thai dessert- mango with sticky rice! Slices of Thai mango with coconut cream drizzled lightly on top, over a bed of sticky, pandan flavoured rice. Thai Square use pandan leaves to colour and flavour the rice for this dish to put their own tasty little spin on it. We followed it up with Coconut ice cream with sweetened slivers of pineapple, papaya and sticky rice, sprinkled with crushed palm seeds and cashew nuts. Then as all good things come in threes, we had a mango and coconut ice cream pudding with strawberries. I rarely use the word but I feel it deserves to be used here, dessert was EPIC.
With branches all over London, a visit to your nearest one will do you a world of good!
Good food, reasonable price, prompt service (even for a group), pleasant ambience. This restaurant offers much more authentic Thai flavours than many in London.

Conveniently located.
A good and comfortably priced place for a large group of friends (we were about 12 - spending about £23 per person).
The food is quite sumptuous and of sufficient quantity.
Personally....I had the Tom Yum Soup (delicious), Golden Sacks (lovely blend of chicken and prawns) and Pad See Ew (really incredible).
My friends also loved the Chicken Satay and the Green Curry with Plain Steamed Rice.
The ambiance is quite pleasant.
Staff is quite efficient and helpful.
Overall good service, definitely worth visiting a second time!! :D
I have been here for the second time and sadly it wasn't at all the level I had the first time. The food was still good but the first time I felt I had one of the best curries ever. On the other hand, the coconut rice was excellent.
The place looks lovely but unfortunately it can be quite loud if there are any groups.
I actually came year a year ago for my birthday in April but kept forgetting to review. I booked for about 20 people and it was an amazing experience. The email responses for my preorder was quick and efficient. The food was amazing and the waitresses were very accommodating. They even bought out a dessert with a candle. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back soon.
Came here for a meal before seeing the play that goes wrong. Food and young male waiter was amazing. Cocktails were lovely and ambiance was lovely and quite .well need when in the bustling city. Seems a little pricey but location and quality of service and food is good value for money
Come here for a bite to eat for lunch. Place is lovely and love the blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant. Staff are friendly. Food tasted amazing and fresh. Toilets located in basement. Didn't happen to see a disabled toilet there so best to check when booking as the steps are very steep. Price is reasonable specially as they have a set lunch menu. We had chicken pad thai and sweet and sour chicken with rice and spring rolls for starters. Would definitely recommend a visit.
This is a really good Thai restaurant, the fish was really good and the chicken Penang curry is excellent. Do yourself a favour and go to Thai Square strand for some really really good Thai food.
The restaurant interior is super cute and the overall ambiance is perfect for dinner. The food is also very good and they have a mini menu for vegetarian with a good variety of options. I love their veggie green curry with sticky rice. Their veggie pad Thai is also super nice. I would definitely come here again when I’m craving Thai!
An excellent lunch at the Thai restaurant.
Food was very good, but portion sizes are very small
This place is getting better. I have visited several times and it has improved. Not long ago I went to the restaurant with some friends from Thailand and they gave it a thumbs up. Good food, good service
We recently visited this location for lunch on a Saturday, we booked a table for 12:00 when the venue opens and had the place to ourselves for our seating. The food was very fresh and served promptly with time to finish our starters before receiving our mains. My only concern was the venue was very warm, there was an air conditioning unit on but it was still quite stuffy. The services was friendly and we spent approximately 1.15 hours - this included two sharing starters and two mains.
Pad Thai was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and look forward to returning.
The atmosphere is tranquil, service is very good and prices are reasonable.
Also the chicken is halal.
Best place for lunch around my workplace. Love a pad thai. They have lunch menu starter n main for 9.95. Although i do go to the pen and wig one close to fleet st as it is closer, this place has a different interior than the used to be pub.
We had the mixed starters, very impressed, the spring rolls are amazing! Also for mains had the duck curry and pad Thai, perfect balance of spice and flavours. The portions look smaller than they are! We couldn't even finished what's pictured 😩 definitely the prettiest restaurant I've been to all year!
