This is a brilliant place to go for authentic Turkish food. Its a fantastic atmosphere and all the staff are genuine and have the best service I have seen so far.
There is a bar in the restaurant for those who drink. But they have a dessert menu, hot drinks too.
Now lets talk about the food, it was cooked to perfection and beyond. The meats were so tender and hot (temperature) they even give you starters too; like bread, hummus, and their traditional yoghurt.
Id definitely recommend going here for just a normal meal, or for a celebration.
This restaurant is the ideal place for those who are after authentic Turkish food. They have many branches in the area that I have also been to, however this branch in particular is always a first choice for me and my family. The manager Hasan and lovely staff always ensure we have a great experience. The food is amazing and service is absolutely faultless! They have a great selection of main dishes, desserts and offer complimentary nibbles. A restaurant you must try out! They have free parking on the right hand side of the restaurant and seating on two floors. The restaurant is always clean and there are loads of staff ready to assist.
Went for an outing with the family and had a party of 13. The service was really quick considering and staff were attentive really helped when deciding what to order. Food was great quality and tasted good too.
The food was amazing and delicious. The service was fantastic and fast, and the staff was very friendly and kind. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great too. I highly without any doubt recommend it 😁😁😁
Despite it being completely busy and packed out we were seated instantly. The rush is amazing!
The food was extra tasty, quick service . Lovely restaurant with loads of seating, toilets and prayer room are available
They gave us loads of bags to take away. Good luck finding parking!
Had dinner here last weekend, for our love of Turkish food!
We were initially met with a staff member named Mohammed so was seating guests as they walked in. He was professional, polite and served with a smile.
I later ordered a Soda water with fresh lime, he Mohammed went out of his way to bring me lime juice and told me that’s how he drinks it every morning, and it did taste great. To be, that’s brilliant service because he didn’t have to go out of his way to do that.
We had the mixed Doner with Rice as well as a large Adana Kebab for mains.
For starters we had the Calamari. The also served bread, Tzatziki and Salad on the house before our food arrived. The salad is so delicious we had to order a round 2.
All the food was a absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back.
All washed down with Turkish Tea at the end which was also on the house.
Great Service, Delicious Food and good atmosphere. The ambience and decor is very good.
The food was amazing especially the hummus, mixed grill and hot meze (sharing platter). The grilled fish was not that great (tried the sea bass).. it would have been nicer if it was just lightly seasoned instead of with the seasoning similar to the meats'.
The Kunefe is Outstanding- totally recommend it . Although a little small for that price.. it is absolutely yummy..
Definitely good place for big groups or for friends to meet up as they can accommodate bug groups.
The Salgam drink is interesting - salty and spicy!
Good Turkish restaurant to visit. Easily accessible and within close proximity to a motorway. Restaurant had plenty of nearby parking. Nice ambience within the restaurant. Kid friendly. Food quality is excellent and customer service is also excellent. Price to quality is good. It can get very busy and the noise pollution is very high on the second floor. I’d recommend sitting on the ground floor as it’s much less noisy and you can therefore socialise with friends and family more easily. Overall, I’d recommend this Turkish restaurant to anyone who wants good quality food.
We always order the mix platter. The platter is enough for at least 5 persons. The food quality was much lower compared to the last year.
The yogurt dish & salad is on the house.
I strongly suggest warm baklava that comes with an ice cream. The tea will be on the house as well. The baklava tastes delicious.
Great Turkish dining experience.
Slightly pricey but the large portion sizes and amazing service make up for it.
The decor is good and lots of parking if you are driving.
I would highly recommend
The service was great, staff was very attentive, didn't have to wait long once we ordered the food came out looking amazing and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was nice lots of other Diners enjoying themselves and their meals.
"Today, we decided to try Gokyuzu in Finchley for the first time, opting for a takeaway due to time constraints. We usually frequent their other branch in Green Lanes, but we were pleasantly surprised. Though we initially thought it was a bit pricey, our opinion quickly changed when we opened the packaging at home. The portions were incredibly generous – one was enough for all three of us. They even included two types of rice, creamy caciki, four pots of garlic sauce, homemade chili sauce, plenty of homemade bread, and even complimentary rice pudding.
The lamb doner (yaprak doner) was outstanding, with 100% meat and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this place; it's simply that good. The next time we're in London, we're making time to dine in at Gokyuzu restaurant Finchley branch. A delightful experience!"
the best of the best Turkish food in London, particularly their chicken shish is succulent and full of flavour. my husband likes their adana (minced lamb). I highly recommend Gokyuzu for lovely Turkish food experience in London.
Good venue for large groups (plenty of parking). Good food, but service staff need to be more attentive. There's plenty of staff but only a handful that can take orders.
Welcomed with a smile and given a choice to sit upstairs or downstairs. Complimentary salad, dip, and bread on arrival.
The actual decor of the restaurant is lovely. It's modern but still has a traditional feel to it.
My husband and I shared the platter which was little big for the two of us but we could take it with us which was fine. The meat was tasty and tender and there was a good mix of Lamb and chicken.
The prices were a little on the high side so would suggest the platter as better value for money. The service was friendly and efficient.
Popped in by chance to avoid looking for parking in Wood Green, we usually go to the restaurants which need street parking so it was nice for the overall experience to park with ease!
Welcomed warmly with bread, cackik and salad, our food arrived well cooked and exactly to order. The Adana kebab is the best we have tasted in almost 8 year's! Please don't change them!
Children live for the lachmajun and went disappointed. The food was on the top end of Turkish food we've enjoyed in the UK and we love a good Turkish restaurant. Highly recommend the cuisine.
Atmosphere was lovely, the servers were intuitive, kept their eyes on our table and were readily available when we needed assistance.
Restrooms were clean - passed that test, phew!
Overall the experience was excellent, decor gorgeous and food brilliant.
Value for money - worth the spend.
Would have had the tiramasu if it was alcohol free!
