Love this place food is beyond expectations and the prices are well worth everything you get. Food always taste great🙂🙂🙂🙂
Nice food and nice staff
Luv this place...wish it was bigger cz it gets really packed
Top Notch! Quality Food! Friendly staff, defo will be going back again!
Assalamulakum, just received a fresh batch of Freez drinks ready for next week's Summer souk. We we also be selling burgers, samosas and fresh cooked hot savoury cakes which are certified by hmc.
I literally come to this store because it’s a few minutes away from uni and I never have the time to have breakfast in the morning. Literally get the same thing each time lol. It’s usually busy around 11 am onwards, so I go at 10 am. Servers are very nice and polite, foods amazing, and the price is decent I pay £7.99 for my omelette 5/5
It’s a decent place to get your breakfast, a bit overpriced due to how well known the place is. There’s a lot of hype about it because of it being halal but it’s definitely the best in the area it’s in
When i do go there i have special breakfast. It is really nice but the only thing that let me down is ordering. So i have ordered a pasta dish from there, i did give them advance notice i got there about 30min later they still have not made it yet. So the food is good but if you do order just don't expect your food to be ready.
Love the meds big breakfast. Huge amount of food for a small price. The place itself is always crowded though as its very small. The staff can be slow too occasionally.
I had an amazing experience after being "poisoned" in the neighbouring Delizia!! I ordered my food where the workers were extremely helpful! And I believe that it's a reasonable price and I can't believe that I wasted my money on delizia's breakfast. The only minor negative is the time to get a seat. But make sure to check out my reviews on other nearby restaurants !! Foodiedudie out!!
For such a small little cafe, Meds is always busy and it's busy for a reason. Their food is brilliant. I like to try different things each time I go there and everything tastes so good. The portion size is perfect and prices are great. I would recommend going after 2pm as it is less busy and you don't ha e to wait around for a table. Be sure to take cash with you as they do not accept cards. Cannot fault this cafe one bit!
Med's Big Breakfast: £5.99 | In the spirit of the morning, I thought I'd share my Meds Cafe experience. So this is their 'Big Breakfast' and they definitely live up to the name. For a British Muslim, to find out there is a halal equivalent to the English breakfast was so exciting. This was actually my second time at Meds Cafe and they didn't disappoint. As soon as you step in, you're greeted with a warm welcome. The service is equally as great, there isn't a long wait for the breakfast and, the breakfast is served hot. Meds Cafe is amazing and worth the price you pay. Foodie.007 x
I used to think this place is over rated for the what is does. My perceptions changed when i really gave it a go. They do some seriously tasty baguettes and some wholesome pasta dishes all reasonably priced. But the one that tops all on the menu is the big breakfast for about £5.50 including tea or coffee 7items + monstrous.
This is quite a famous and popular small cafe which serves a decent lunch menu but is mainly known for its all day breakfasts.
Due to its size the place does get packed out and sometimes a queue builds outside it.
I decided that one of my weekly cheat meals has to be one of their big brekkies because I don't have the usual fry up for breakfast.
They have 3-4 breakfasts which go up in size with extra items, I think I went for the second one which included all the usual fry up items.
Everything was cooked very well and tasty and enjoyed it fully, only negative is that the staff can be confusing at times especially when it's busy as they may take your order and your left wondering if they actually passed it onto the kitchen because, your waiting around at times for lengthy periods and you don't want to look a fool by asking,
"Did you get my order?"
But I eventually got my order and left satisfied!
Meds was not a place that I was usually go to but was told that it is obligatory to try if you live in the east end.
Meds is simply a place for Breakfast or Lunch with a myriad of different British condiments and sides. I never had a British fry up before due to the abundance of pork but since Meds is Halal, like most of the restaurants around the area, I was finally able to try the British staple. The cafe is nice but very haphazard in the table and seat setting. The Menu is a standard British feast with different pastas on the lunch menu. Nothing too exciting, quite a standard feat.
The staff were nice and explained the different types of British breakfasts I could order.
Overall the food was good, the staff were nice and the setting was very stuffed in.
Went here today for brunch with a few friends. I had one of the smaller "big breakfast" which consisted of toast, beans, sausages, turket slices, mushrooms and eggs. Everything you expect in a good english breakfast. The food was great but the downside is that the place is a little crowded, busy and noisy. It didn't have a great atmosphere but maybe because I went at 12 when all the students come. I suggest going at a earlier time or at the weekend.
This place offers good English breakfast in the neighborhood at a very reasonable price. The place offers breakfast much past noon which is also great as sometimes I get late and this place serves a back up plan. The only problem at the restaurant being its washroom which is dirty and not good.
The is a cozy cafe kind of a place, which serves delectable food and beverages. The main attraction of this restaurant is that it serves halal English breakfast. The breakfast is reasonably priced and the portions are also quite good. The service is good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This place serves excellent breakfast and also the portion size is really huge that it really fills you that you do not want to have an early lunch post that. This place is always busy with people and it is also very reasonable on your pocket. The serve Halal meat. Service is a bit slow.
The place serves extremely delicious and mind blowing breakfast. The portion size is incredibly HUGE, you cannot finish the meal and if you manage to, you will most likely skip lunch. On another upside, the service is welcoming. attentive and pleasing. They serve full english and halal! What more! Surely revisiting!
Good food, one of the few places in east london which provide a halal full english breakfast. Could be better if the sausage was fresh and not pre packed frozen ones. 7/10
Always an absolute delight. I rang meds today for some late breakfast takeout. I rang around five minutes before arrival. I ordered two rounds of perhaps their largest breakfast, the "Meds Special Breakfast". Upon arrival I waited around a reasonable ten minites. The phone call order just saved me having to wait in line to order the food. It was business as usual. Many young locals from neighbouring areas sat enjoying their food. Being a Halal cafe with a variety of desirable foods has made it a hit. I would sit in and eat but there isn't a sense of privacy as all the customers are crammed into a small space. I was happier than my previous takeout experience at Meds. Last time their food was just sort of thrown in a box all together. However today, they had different boxes, kind of like a tray design with sections. Saved me from having to seperate the food and made it easier to put on a plate. Great food, just wish the place was slightly bigger and perhaps more customer friendly. I mean the actual venue not the staff :)
If you love mushrooms, you should definitely try Meds.
I was surprised when, by looking at the menu, I saw mushrooms almost in every dish they offered. After looking at the menu, I ended up ordering their chicken omelette. It was my brunch, so I thought an omelette could have been the perfect food in between breakfast and lunch to eat. I cannot say it wasn’t tasty or succulent, but it was quite heavy. They made it with peppers, two toasts, marinated chicken, cheese and mushrooms.
The staff is friendly and the place is a good alternative to many fast foods. Prices are good, you can have lunch with 10 £. However, I only suggest going when you are super hungry and looking for something quite oily and unhealthy.
Probably the best breakfast fry ups in the whole of east london, but they do a wonderful selection of some amazing other dishes too from what we have seen on other people's tables. Its a small cafe joint on burdett road 1 min from mile end station, but always packed no matter what time or day we have been which speaks volumes for the quality of food and value for money especially in an area with so much competition.
The reviews on Facebook, twitter and Instagram speak for themselves.
The staff and chef are a delight, ever so helpful and always so polite, very quick and efficient service and food that really taste awesome as though its been home prepared just for you.
Went there today for breakfast with my brother in law, it was his first time having a full English breakfast and he loved it. Food was very tasty and generous in the portion size. I have eaten here before with my cousin so coming here again was a treat. The only downside, they don't accept card which means people have to go and get cash and that is a hassle.
Food was good, wish there were more options as I would’ve preferred a smaller portion.
Overall great, would definitely go again.
Ordered the veggie breakfast and really enjoyed it! Food came quick and staff were attentive
I went to meds this morning and it was really good, met my expectations, food portion was more than enough, tasted good and customer service was on point, will defo come back, thanks to the team
A really nice cafe that does Halal food.
Very popular within locals within Tower Hamlets. Nothing overly fancy. Just a nice breakfast place.
Their big breakfast is standard as with most cafes. They do really nice stir fry. I recommend the beef one.
It gets very busy, especially during lunch time so be prepared to wait.
Parking can be difficult unless you have a Tower Hamlets permit or you park in Pay and Display bay (limited bays).
If eating in, space is limited. Not much space to move around or for a pram.
Meds is an original little gem, with amazing value for money for a great big breakfast. No fancy frills or florals here! Fast and friendly service, however they still do not accept card payments so take some cash with you.
Been there so many times and went back recently after a very long time. Still maintains great quality breakfast and staffs are friendly. Could improve on their seatings and tables other than that probably the best halal breakfast around with decent pricing
Loved this place. The portions are extra large. 10/10 for value for money. Whether you select breakfast or lunch you will not be disappointed. This is my third visit with the family and each visit was on point. Excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming. I don't hesitate to visit this.
Yesterday, Googled "Halal Breakfast" Med's Cafe came up, called them up first about the Halal stuff, He said EVERYTHING is halal, AlhamduLillah! Turned up this morning, hey, what can i say. Totally banging! Big fat plates, full of wicked food. I ordered Kings Breakfast, sooo much food and sooo good. This is the place for breakfast, no fancy arty farty stuff on the walls, the food is what is talking. Service is top, fast fresh and on point. Tall Slim lady serving is very efficient and pronto. And the DJ on Food turntables was knocking out proper food barz. Especially for the Muslims, you must visit here, and check out the mad menu..... TOP MUNCH.. You will be hooked, i know i am! You will not regret inshaAllah
We had the Meds supreme and King. Good service. It’s a good fry up. Very happy thanks
Excellent halal breakfast for groups, couples and families. Fairly priced breakfast menu, with good portions.
Disability access is a bonus and the staff are friendly.
Decent Spanish omelette too.
Such a great place for an abundant breakfast! There are many options (vegs as well) for a tasty English breakfast but there are also sandwiches and other plates, plenty of choice for everybody!
Prices are very very good! I will definitely go back!
The breakfast was delicious and affordable! The portions were large, so there was no way that you can leave the place without being full unless you’re a picky eater and do t eat half your plate. I was tempted to do so because I don’t really like to eat mushrooms, but these were actually really good to eat. Everything was hot and made to order, with a waitress who was happy to help us. They even had free tap water, which was a plus because free water in Europe was hard for me to find. Overall a great place for breakfast, and other meals too I’m sure.
Very close to a five. Been meaning to try Meds for ages, opportunity presented itself for which I am grateful. Friendly staff and good service. Had turkey and halloumi omlette. Wise choice, will be back to sample something else on the menu. Expectations are high.
If tempted Go for it!
Met with my sisters for breakfast. We ordered the A La Carte, a Supreme and a veggie breakfast. All looked amazing and was very tasty. Perfectly cooked! The place is clean and the staff are quick and attentive. Defo recommend for mornings.
One of my favourite go to halal breakfast places in London! When I was at university I used to go there almost every week with my friend. Their breakfast menu is one of the best, especially the med's e la carte option. The only reason why I am giving it 4 star is because they do not have card payment option. Other than that the service is great so is the food!
Quick service.
Good food.
Big portion size for breakfast.
Friendly staff.
Only issue was the quality of the fries. Otherwise it would have been five stars.
