Food could have been better but was alright for a gastropub. Staff were all super friendly and greeter and served us really quickly! Found the idea of a live departure board above the bar very fun, also the playlist is excellent

Visited for the first time, and was surprised how nice the venue was, clean, modern, and the bar staff were excellent, friendly, with a superb humour, and wonderful hospitality. Came along with family to have a spot of lunch, there was a good variety of classics on the menu. Opted for the steak sandwich, and blue and hot fries. Food was tasty and served in a reasonable amount of time, and was fairly priced. There are cocktails available alongside the standard drinks options you’d expect of a bar, all nicely presented. The music was also on point playing some old favourites that wouldn’t offend anyone, instead making you wanna sing along. But fear not we refrained. Live sports are available to watch, and if you happen to be visiting and getting the train from West Norwood station, right adjacent to the pub, there is a live feed of train times displayed above the bar, so you’re unlikely to miss your next train! A clever touch! We had a really lovely time, thank you 😊

It's my local so I am going to happily declare my biased view, but it is genuinely a great pub considering its location limitations. A far cry from the old days as the Norwood Hotel, the beer selection is great, friendly service and lovely, easy-going atmosphere to catch up with friends. They even managed to fashion a half decent beer garden. It's one of the best places to get a Guinness too, clearly a well looked after keg cellar!

Popped in for a Sunday lunch. Had the salt and pepper squid for starters, pork belly roast and the chicken burger for mains and ended with the sticky toffee pudding. All of it was incredible. Food was really well prepared and tasty. Compliments to the chef! Service was also really good, and super fast too. Would highly recommend.

Sunday roast very good value for money and generous portions! The veggie wellington a few too many chickpeas, but still nice.

Nice pub right next to West Norwood station. Looks somewhat dark from the windows outside but is in fact light and pleasant inside. Staff has always been helpful to me. The pub is great to watch sports while still keeping a light atmosphere. You can meet all types of people there, which is great and somewhat rare for a sports-focused pub.

This is a brilliant, friendly welcoming restaurant/pub/bar. Atmosphere is cosy, chique with lovely furniture and an interior all in all very inviting but still complementary to the ambiance. The bar staff is friendly and helpful - always up for a banter chat. Halumi fries ARE A MUST TRY. BEST ONES IN LONDON. OMG. Their steak is just as delicious with a side of grilled tomato's which I always steal from my partner's plate cause they are just so so delicious. Great dirty fries or the ones with blue cheese, absolutely recommend trying them . All in all a fantastic place to be with friends and family and I can absolutely definitely 100% recommend going there!!! PS. They have a beer garden too!!

We visited the pub on a Saturday night. It is the perfect quiet place if you want to meet friends and be able to talk and listen each other. It is conveniently located, only 2 min walk from the train station. We just had wine, but were pleased with the quality and price. Good customer service provided as well.

I love this place. Great food, great ale - from the international to the local micro-brewery, friendly staff, music nights, quizes, a busy downstairs with cool beer garden and a quieter lounge upstairs. Last but not least - decent crisps too!

Lovely pub with a super friendly manager and staff. So nice to be around people genuinely interested in their jobs. (We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food)

Our group of 14 had an excellent experience while visiting The Great North Wood. The food was delicious. We had roast pork belly, beef, chicken, fish and chips burgers and a few hot snacks. Everything was just delicious. And the Conrad, who attended us, have done excellent job throughout various hours we've been there. I highly recommend the place.

Booked online and was super easy. Went there for an early Sunday roast to take a friend who came to visit. Peaceful outside area, plenty of space. Inside is even better, they have a great range of drinks and the menu looked ace too. Right next to West Norwood station, which takes you West through Balham to Victoria and south east to Crystal palace and West Croydon. Super friendly staff, helpful and very pleasant. Noticed they also host pub quiz and show sports on their large screens. Lovely bar area too, will be visiting again. Give it a solid A**** LDT x

We used the rooms upstairs for our party. Absolutely fantastic experience: very helpful, friendly staff; great space with dancing and sitting options, food was delicious. Minimum spend on the bar (easily achieved) but otherwise no charge - can’t get better value than that!
