Have searched long and hard for a cafe like this - Absolutely love it! Have now been coming here regularly for a year and it always full of great people, with great drinks and food! Definitely worth a try if you're looking for 'your' cafe in Putney :) :D

Love it here so much - delicious cakes and toasties, great coffee and tea, and it’s such a little community; the staff know everyone by name and I love bringing my dog in for the day! Best cafe in London by far.

I absolutely love this little cafe, thankfully on my doorstep. They make the yummiest cakes and sweets and my absolute fav here is the humble bacon sarnie on toasted brown sour dough with red sauce, something so simple but yet tastes so good! They have really good quality tea's & coffee! And super lovely staff! If your in the area is a definite must try!

Cute little cafe with decorations that wouldn't be out of place beside the English seaside. Offers sandwiches, cakes, coffee.

Lovely waitress, very welcoming with a great smile, presentation is good.

8 had the smugglers club toastie which was good but nothing unique (very much on the savory side of my tastebuds). Coffee is also good.

In short good place to rest up for a while whilst walking near the Thames and have a nibble (perhaps a cake or a scone).

Plus: staff, decor
Negative: lacking a killer feature

Well, I am quite surprise that there are not any review for this branch, which has been running for at least 20 years, if I am not mistaken... And this branch is Dear to my heart, as this is where I held my first proper job in London 18 years ago, coming straight from the cheesy country of mine, and speaking no English whatsoever, I had to start as a Commis, but luckly my Head-Chef was quite fast (Thanks Neil Foster) to recognise my skills and was quickly promoted to Sous-Chef, before our departure for our Grand adventure (more on this, in the next coming reviews!!!), so I had to go back last month during my stay in London, and there is was !!! Still standing, and serving good grub !!!
As always Flat Eric...

A little on the slow side. Took around 20 minutes for order to arrive which didn't make sense as the next table only ordered about 5 mins before mine arrived and yet arrived shortly after mine.

Stopped in for eggs on toast, they call it something fancier than that, but it's that kind of place, kind staff, clearly a well thought out business with a clear presentation, looked really popular with young mums when I popped in.

Lovely little cafe with a generous choices of drinks and food, the quality of food you get from such a small kitchen is a nice surprise. The outside area could do with a little makeover but overall it's a great eat!

By far one of the best cafés in London, and surely the best in Putney. It's cosy and small, although still have a couple of tables outside. Situated in Lower Richmond Road, very close to the river and not far from Putney Bridge. The coffee is really good and the food amazing. Large menu with lots of options for breakfast and brunch specially. Try the English breakfast and the toast with scrambled eggs, avocado and chorizo. Delicious, I'm getting hungry now. Cakes are awesome too, try the carrot cake and the banana bread. OMG! Staff working there and the owner are very friendly. The café is decorated Cornwall style.

During our 4 days stay in London we went twice to this place. Very cozy atmosphere with friendly stuff and great breakfast/lunch food. I really recommend the "Mash Up", if you're in for scrambled eggs, avocado and baked halloumi ;) Last but not least: It's pet friendly!

Soft creamy coffee, friendly service and very chilled vibe. Was lovely to sit in a cafe that had not too loud music and only soft chatter.

Cosy vibe with great food and coffee. I had the hash stack which was nice. A more authentic feel than most brunch type places.

Wonderful coffee, wonderful atmosphere, but most of all the most delicious gluten free banana bread I’ve ever had. It’s so perfect, especially if you can get it straight out of the oven. Also really friendly, even with our two massive dogs. My new favourite.

Lovely cafe with Cornish decorations. I had breakfast here a lot of times, each time I had tried something else. My favourite for savoury breakfast is Mushroom Crepe. Second best is Cornish tea, for the ones who like to put the jam first!
