Friendly guys serving decent food. Kebab wraps could do with some more flavoursome sauce but not bad. They run a tight ship in there as it gets quite busy. It is a cash only joint but there are ATMs outside Bermondsey station which is a 1min walk away.
This is the best fish and chip shop taste wise right now that I’ve recently discovered the chips are always fresh the sausage in batter is always fresh and hot never stale however they really need to work on there portion size I ordered a regular and a large and I couldn’t even tell the difference when I got home. Roman road fish and chip shop use to be the best but they’ve gone down hill the past couple of years this is definitely the place to come if you fancy nice hot chips soaked in salt and vinegar just save your money and get the regular chips. I’ve also tried there donner kebab it was nice. The only down side to this place is they don’t take card but there’s a cash machine in the corner shop/post office next door but it’s still just inconvenient

Best place to eat Fish&Chips, I haven’t been there for almost a year. My sincere regards to Serhat Chef, lovely, friendly and funny guy 😂 Hopefully he still and will cook for the restaurant when I come back eventually.

Our family came to London for 5 days and stumbled across The Fish Bar. I can’t say enough great things about this little shop. We tried some fish and chicken the first night in town and really enjoyed it. I must comment on the atmosphere, such great vibes! They are such cool guys we went back everyday. I have to say, the chicken Shish were EXCELLENT!! The staff were so friendly, and talkative. They remembered us when we returned and would wave and smile every time we passed by. I would highly recommend this place whether your a local or a tourist. Thank you to the entire Fish Bar staff, you really know how to make us Americans feel welcome! When we return to UK, we will be back!!

Best chicken shish in South London. Used to visit weekly, then moved too far unfortunately. This was my first time back in 5years, and the food and the service is just as amazing as I remembered.
