Outstanding in every way.
Food:
- Started with some Bread and Butter and the Devilled Eggs - the eggs were really really nice, and the bread was fresh.
- The Fried Polenta, Beef Shin, and Parmesan was insane - the beef was super tender and complimented the crunchy polenta.
- First time trying Steak Tartare - loved it. Very interesting textures, with the steaks softness being supported by the shoestring fries.
- Slade Farm Duck was good, but not excellent.
- Apple Pie for dessert was average - would expect better flavours for this standard of restaurant.
Service:
- Excellent - quick, nice, and very informative.
Atmosphere:
- Amazing - homely yet modern. Intimate seating arrangement with an open kitchen and music being played on a record player.
Really really good food for a relatively reasonable price!
The starters were really good as we got:
-the bread ( which was freshly baked) and butter which was really flavourful
-Devilled eggs which were also really good and finished nicely with chives and cayenne pepper
-courgette flowers with ricotta in a jalapeno dressing which was the best of the starters
For mains we got:
- Potato bread and mussels which were insane. The mussels melted in my mouth and were really creamy and the potato bread was light. The sauce it came with perfectly complemented the bread which soaked it all up!
-the mushroom lasagne was also incredible and whilst being rich and full of umami from the mushrooms was also light.
For dessert we got the pavlova which was a really good sweet and slightly sour note to cut through the richness of the meal.
Overall I’d highly recommend Leroy as it was a really fun and casual dining experience with good food
Cosy restaurant with good music, relaxed and positive staff, warm and inviting atmosphere. Amazing, light and accommodating service. Super zingy and tasty lavender lemonade and smooth and rich ice tea. Crispiest and juiciest duck leg ever. Delicious stuffed courgette. The choux was the absolute highlight, didn't even need to have a filling because it was just super tasty on its own.
We had a beautiful lunch at Leroy. I would recommend the crab and crackling, eel caesar and green beans with peach which was our favourite dish for the mix of flavours. Service was attentive and prompt and the atmosphere great.
Foods we had were good, the steak tartare was very fresh.
They’ve got a rich wine list.
Service was good. The waitress was friendly to provide with suggestions.
The tables are a bit tightly set.
Been wanting to visit Leroy for a while now, and it did not disappoint. The staff were very attentive, although the restaurant is quite small, it has a very nice charm which makes the atmosphere very intimate. The starters (devilled eggs, and fried polenta) and mains (carpaccio of beef rump and sea trout) were excellent. It is important to note that the dishes were quite small; so bear that in mind.
Amazing dining experience at Leroy's. We did a last minute booking. Got a seat at the counter which was just Infront of the chefs. It was intriguing to see how much care and attention went into the dishes. The restaurant itself was small and cozy with a modem bistro style look. The ambience was very casual and great for a special event. The waiters and front of house staff were very helpful and attentive. The food came in decent time and was nicely spaced out. There were 2 of us and we had a selection of dishes ranging from starters to mains. The menus is not extensive but will have something for everyone. All the food was laid out and presented well and for foodies presented a great tasting experience. The lake district lamb was out of this world in terms of taste. There was a great selection of wine and beer to go with the food. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the cuisine and the one Michelin star. We were both blown away by the final bill which was £150 all in with service charge and alcohol ( though we did not have dessert)! We will be back.
Had this place in mind for ages, I’ve been closely following them on Instagram and finally had the pleasure to visit today!
Food wise - the menu is fairly limited but you won’t be disappointed and as long as you’re open minded to new flavor your tasting buds will be amazed! Tried the tuna with oranges and chili and although it would never occur to me to mix these it was just incredible, same goes to their tartar and wild mushrooms- really really good. Had a small incident with veil. sweetbreads - was our first time trying and I just wasn’t a fan, but the staff was so professional they saw we barely tried it and offered us to take if of the menu as we didn’t really eat it. I want taky go back for the burratta for sure!
Atmosphere: amazing! Such a cosy, nice place in the middle of Shoreditch
Staff: just excellent, you feel like they they very good care of you but at the same time they don’t come back every 2mins to ask how is this and that and if you need anything, interrupting conversations (I personally really do prefer my time with food and if anything I’m fully capable reaching out!) so this was perfect for me! A very special thank you to Luke and Yvonne for a wonderful experience
We celebrated our anniversary there and chef baked us an outstanding madeleine, served right out of oven, I will probably dream about these for next few months
Would definitely recommend and will be back!
I’ve been waiting to visit for a while and Leroy did not disappoint. Wonderful service. An immense wine list. Starting prices are punchy, but we ordered a French Syrah that did not disappoint and paired perfectly with the range of dishes on the menu. The eel and asparagus were stand out dishes.
This is a trendy Michelin star restaurant in Shoreditch that is quite cheap for the food, drinks and service you get here. The menu is simple - you choose a few small plates to share from their list of dishes. Lovely food, great ambience!
Great food, but very small portions (understandable given the price, but just to be aware). Definitely worth it for a walk in lunch
The perfect lunch!
had lunch here- three course with the devilled egg and the bread pre starter. Both excellent.
The starters of tuna tartare was excellent as the salad.
The Pork mains - probably the best port I’ve had: super crispy crackling nice kale and sauce. The fat bits - unsocial taste, was good but very rich so had some of it .
Desert of what looks like a donut was excellent.
Good cocktails.
Good service.
Would be back….. very soon.
We really enjoyed our meal here last week. The food was fantastic quality and the taste and flavours were wonderful. My husband and bestfriend both had the lamb and both said it was the best meat they had ever eaten. We loved the various wine selections and cocktails and the staff / service was excellent too. As a Michelin restaurant, we were surprised at how reasonable the food and drinks were too. Definitely recommend! :)
Delicious food, but the portions were tiny. £18 for the charcuterie plate was very steep definitely not for sharing!
The staff were friendly and helpful, plates are brought out as they’re ready.
Menu changed seasonally, everything tastes so good, staffs are friendly, they will give you some recommendations if you are difficult to make a decision 🤪
Really really really good no frills Michelin star restaurant that has a chill wine bar vibe. I brought my boyfriend for my birthday and he loved it. The food is an absolute dream. They even made my bf mini birthday pastries / cakes in the oven. Would 100% come again!
Lovely food and atmosphere. The steak on the special menu was amazing and the devilled egg is a must try! Could be one of the best-value Michelin starred restaurants in London. Simple menu and casual vibes.
It doesn’t get much better than this. Outstanding food served by personable, affable and highly communicative staff. We had the tasting menu and whisky it was all sumptuous the duck is simply unbelievable.
Fabulous, interesting wines at good prices, we really enjoyed the Macon Villages Du Grappin.
Go there, you’ll have an excellent time!
As a Michelin one star, the starters were absolutely innovative. Bur the mains were a bit disappointing.
Bistro vibe with open kitchen is quite lovely.
The long dried beef was good.
Eggs were really surprising!
The sauce in Tartar was too strong and therefore the sweetness of raw reef was hidden away.
Prosciutto and egg sauce were perfect combination for asparagus.
Chicken skin was absolutely innovative with the snow cheese.
Ravioli was averagely good.
Lamb was really juicy and good, the fat part wouldn’t make you feel too much at all!
Steak definitely wasn’t good, beef wasn’t tender enough and a bit chewy already! The sauce was a bit too sour for beef!
Deserts were not that good either, they were like random combination of ingredients. The chef needs more consideration of this.
