Loved this little place on our visit in August, and the loo didn't disappoint! The whole restaurant is fitted out in an eclectic, interesting way, and has lovely food. And the loo is luxurious, clean and spacious. Thank you and sorry the pics don't do justice. Keep up the good loo work, guys!
We had a Sunday lunch here, the lamb was fantastic and the vegetables were cooked to perfection, with a little bit of bite still in the broccoli and the carrots. Great roast potatoes. Cheesecake dessert was fantastic too. They have live jazz bands playing on some Sundays too. I have wanted to check out this restaurant for a while now and it did not disappoint. Great unobtrusive service is a standout as well, what a lovely place!
I've been a few times, menu has been different and creative each time (adapting to seasons) - simply delicious. Service was great, decoration and environment is intimate and warm. I especially love the bathroom (yes, we can say that in a restaurant review, they're really cool) Prices are very correct, especially for the quality of the food offered. Highly recommended!!!
Fantastic evening spent here. Brilliant food and fantastic service. I loved the decor - Great atmosphere with live music - can highly recommend the set three course meal. And, to agree with a previous reviewer, the toilet was luxurious! đ
It was so obvious that such an effort has been made on this place. Thanks so much guys!
Cannot recommend highly enough
Fantastic food in an absolutely stunning setting. The monk fish was sublime and Fillet steak superbly tender and cooked to perfection. I can absolutely recommend the seafood linguine too. All supplemented by excellent service. A proper hidden gem in Haringey.
Very nice to find this new restaurant in the neighborhood. We had the beef cheek (very good), salmon lasagna (also good) but avoid the fish soup starter; neither of us found it good and it may be something the chef can improve on but staff were very helpful and also removed the offending items from the bill. All in all very good and will be going back. :-)
Early this afternoon, we had a very satisfying Sunday roast. The beef was cooked just right, sitting on a bed of lightly boiled vegetables, roast potatoes were light and crisp plus we had a Yorkshire pudding with a boat full of tasty gravy. Service was friendly and efficient. Also the interior décor is a veritable feast for the eyes. Highly recommended, we're looking forward to our return visit.
Excellent meal!!
The place is cosy, wooden interior. Very friendly waiting staff.
Food is modern European. About 6 starter and 6 mains on the menu, and 2 of each on the specials board. It's quite a meaty selection, maybe one or vege options, but you should really be an omnivore to make the most of this place. The chef really knows what he is doing, the food is beautifully cooked. There's a fair markup on the wine, but it is a well chosen list. Excellent cocktails!
If you live in central north London, enjoy a broad pallette of food, and fancy a treat meal out without heading into town, then I would definitely make a booking here. They also do brunch and theme nights which also look interesting. Just photos of the amazing toilet! :) ;)
This lovely place has caught my eye while I was cycling past it, so on the nearest occasion decided to book a table there. Me and my partner arrived for our booking just after 22:00 on a Saturday night. It was very loud and lively as there was live performance going on. The table we were offered was small and very close to other tables so we asked to be seated in a quieter spot as we wanted to have a conversation without having to raise our voice and be aware of others overhearing our chat. The service is very friendly and polite, really nice. The decor is opulent with a homey feeling so you feel very relaxed there. We ordered prawns with chips on the side and a duck breast and I had a glass of Malbec. Wine was ok, nothing special, if you want to order wine by glass there is only two options apart from house wine. The duck was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The prawns however were a bit tasteless. The bigger disappointment was when our food was brought to table and we were told that they had run out of hand cut chips so they served French fries from a chip shop next door. We appreciated the honesty but we should be asked first if thats what we want or if we prefer to have something else instead. It's a good place for a party evening but definitely wouldn't go there for a romantic dinner date.
EDIT: went there again for a meal with my best friend. It was saturday night before christmas and we choose a set menu with a bottle of wine. I was pleasantly surprised, the food was really delicious. We had soup and salad for starters, prawn linguini and a turkey roast. There was live music and the atmosphere was relaxed and not too loud. We had nothing to complain about so Iâm giving it 4 stars instead of previous 3. Itâs a nice place if you live locally then I would recommend to check it out.
Tramp café restaurant is one amazing place to dine. The décor is delightful and the atmosphere very relaxing - this is the kind of restaurant where one can go for a family event or for an intimate date, as it has different dining rooms.
I went there on Sunday for lunch. We ordered Roast Beef and Linguine with seafood. On arrival the food was hot and well-presented, so we felt like royals. The Roast was juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. The linguine with seafood had multiple textures, which did work well together.
Cheese cake and Chocolate fondant to finish off the feast had a divine presentation and tasted like heaven. I can only recommended this place, if you are after an unexpected culinary experience at a reasonable price.
