Excellent Eritrean food. Place is clean with nice atmosphere. Excellent customer service. Hummm and the food is another level!!! Very delicious . I have been to so many Eritrean/Ethiopia restaurants and none compares to Bisha Resturant. The portions are big and the food is really tasty. I recommend to anyone to try it out! You won’t regret!
Lovely fresh traditional food. Excellent service!! I would highly recommend !!
The food looks good and the test is amazing well when is my next meal time....
the food was amazing...
you tast the love behind the food
just amazing
As an experienced Ethiopian and Eritrean food enjoyer Bisha doesn't disappoint. The vegetarian menu is prominently displayed in the window and you get a massive platter for less than £12. Frankly it could be enough for two people but I enjoyed it so much I took extra time to relax and eat more. Naturally I washed it down with Eritrean booze including the raki type drink called Zibib Extra which acted well as a digestif. The young lady serving was cheerful and helpful. I'll be back!
Delicious food, lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The individual platter is huge and such a great price. You get to try all the different dishes, including spiced lentil dishes, different veggies, etc. Lots of injera (the bread) provided. The woman who ran the place was so kind and helpful. We also got Eritrean coffee which came with a bunch of popcorn, both delicious.
It was my first time at the restaurant, and there was a group of us. The service was absolutely amazing, the food was pleasing to the eye and delicious. My family and I will definitely come again.
Big portion, food is ok (tasty lentils, standard chicken was too dry and bland).
Extra * for the kind staff - no service charge levied, so bring cash for tips. On the other hand, the venue looks outdated - vintage is common for Eritrean kitchens but plastic table covers look cheap.
It was my first time trying Eritrean and I wasn't disappointed. We shared a mixed meat and vegetarian platter with Injera bread on the side between four and there was loads of food £44.50 in total). We were the only people there as it was lunchtime so I can't give it top points for atmosphere but the service was good.
Excellent experience and introduction into Eritrean food. I had the lamb and it was tender and full of flavour!
Great food! Walking in feels like you're entering someone's home. Portions are large and very shareable (prepare to get your hands a little dirty). The plate for 2 is probably enough for 3. We did a meat and veg selection that comes out on one plate with an extra bowl of injera. I would a skip the beer and go straight for the honey wine. It comes out in a lovely carafe with two small wine glasses. Take your time and enjoy!
A large variety of vegan stews and salads with a generous portion of Shiro - all very flavorful, tasty, and fresh. Hospitable and kind service. It is highly recommended!
The meat and vegetable platter is so good! The server was very friendly. Overall ambience of the place is nice. The bread rolls have sharp lemon flavors but taste good with the vegetables.
Great Eritrean restaurant in the Holloway Nags Head area! My partner and I ordered one meat portion and a veggie combo, and the whole meal was huge. It was fresh, too. Service was polite, and the restaurant was clean and quiet. Will definitely be coming back.
Wonderful food and fantastic service. Nice atmosphere will definitely be back!
I discovered this place by coincidence for the simple fact that I recently moved to the area. It's difficult to describe with words how much I love it. Everything is beyond perfection and make this one of the best restaurants in London if you want atmosphere, great food and great service ... all at a very reasonable price. I haven't tried all dishes yet but so far I was blown away by the Bamia (OKRA) and the Awaze Tibsi. I'm really fascinated by the vernacular decor of the place, which really makes you feel like you just stepped in Eritrea. The background songs are all beautiful (it made me discover the artist Abrar Osman!). And, nevertheless, the people are so welcoming and make you really feel at home, both the restaurateurs and the loyal clients. A special mention to Jordanos for introducing me to the dishes and for generally being nice and chatty. Couldn't recommend it more!
My first Eritrean food experience, and was absolutely impressed with the food and hospitality! Ordered the Bamia(okra) it was a pleasant surprise as it melted in the mouth. Also tried the Awaze Tibsi, which was good too. If you are looking for a complete experience go with Mies(honey wine). A must visit if you're in the area.
Delicious range of authentic Eritrean dishes served in a way to give you a traditional experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, would highly recommend trying it if you haven't before.
1000/10 deffo recommend the kitfo and awaze firfir, good prices and great service too☺️
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation.
Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant.
Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in London.
