The service at Adams is always excellent and the quality of their food is generally top-notch. The medium chip is huge; I have not yet braved the large. Great value for money.

Very friendly service from this family-run local chip shop. Great chips and generally good fish with tasty batter, though cooked with the skin on; portions are generous and very good value. Can get incredibly busy, due to it's popularity. Easily the best fish and chips in the Wimbledon area.

So I was looking for a place I can sit inside and that I can devour some tasty food within a budget. Therefore, I popped into this place randomly for the first time and ordered a small cod and chips for £7.20. Yes, It does sound pricey.
However, hear me out, firstly it was freshly cooked, the taste was literally the best fish and chips I have ever had in South London, far better than the Morden fish and chips or even the fish and chip shop around the corner near South Wimbledon. Did I mention that South Wimbledon station is literally 5 minute walking distance. It was freshly cook, even the polite front hostess offered that.
You can sit in doors, and they don't charge for mayonnaise like some other dodgy places and has free tartar sauce on the table.
Any good food restaurant should always offer free sauces and this one does. Wow they are so polite, the tables are clean whilst stocked with free tartar sauce, salt, pepper and vinegar to help yourself. The front hostess lady was super welcoming and so lovely, definitely bagged me as a lifelong customer and encourage me to bring my friends over. The food is super fresh and really light batter with great crunch and chips that ain't cooked with yesterday's oil. Great value in these budget hit hard days, coupled with great customer service and good portion to wake me up from my boring office job. Really lovely fish and chip shop and by far the best fish and chips served here compared to the rest. Did I mention that another worker their brought me mayonnaise and didn't take it away. Little things, great value and just so polite family run and nicely cooked food goes into my books as a must keep, must return fish and chips place and must bring your friends or family here.
First class fish and chips the traditional way. Had their cod and chips today - top notch! They fry to order, rather than let their fillets sit in heated storage. Nice crunchy batter. Generous portions too! Tastes fantastic, Decent prices. Definitely a repeat visit soon
Our favourite goto spot for Cod Fillet and Squid Rings! Their menu updated recently with wet fish so you can cook them at home. A small order of chips is enough to serve 2. We had to downsize from large order of chips to medium due to the gigantic portion. Our orders were always made fresh to order, no pre cooked dried out BS. Call ahead with your order for collection if you can, Adam will let you know what’s available and in stock! They accept Cash only and there is a cash machine down the road at Sainsbury’s.
Without doubt the best fish and chip shop in south london.
Quality food cooked with care and served with a smile. So much goes to making the food taste great and you may think me silly (I'm a chef) but I've never seen chips or anything battered served and think "oh oil needs changing" the food always looks golden colour.
Well worth a visit and if you don't fancy fish the ribs are awesome!

The fish and chips here are one of the best I've tasted, it's almost like having fish and chips by the beach. The fish tastes fresh and the batter is pretty crispy. When you break into the fish, it falls apart and melts in your mouth. The chips are pretty good too, chunky, a little greasy, but what do you expect if you're having fish and chips!
This is a brilliant, locally adored and respected family run business.
It's clean, takeaway or eat in, you can even have a alcoholic beverage.
My favorite Chip Shop / Takeaway restaurant of it type in London.

During lockdown it's been the best place to go and get our fish and chips. Amazing service and the freshness of the products. Why go anywhere else they are fantastic.

First class service ,First class Food, the size of the fish is what you used to get back in the sixties,yes you pay a little more for it but that is the same the world over ,the only downer was thd 65 mile round trip for the food you havd to eat ig their as all fish is cooked from fresh and the owner own fault in my view is he doses nog understand thd. Word SMALL as a small portion of chips chips will feed two very large size hungry men going again next week.
