My experience at Giant Robot is always a good one! Lovely staff very accommodating and child friendly! Such a nice place to go for a catch up with friends and family or even for a bit of head space on your own sitting by the river watching to world go by! Tasty food and drink are bonus here too! I booked a table for my birthday. This place was fantastic and all my friends loved it too. Lots of space, reasonably priced and not too loud so you can have a decent conversation. Plus it's all indoors! The garden outside is rather spectacular too...

Great place. Not as packed as others in CW but has good food,great beers and a cocktail bar. Nice and relaxed surroundings.

I have been in the giant robot but at little Josē's place only and his food is just fantastic, I haven't try others around but I always back at Jose's one as I love the food, drink and chocolate terrina there... And I look forward to be back again!

Went here yesterday had the chicken in bucket with fries and tried the yum buns was very nice and filling had mojitos they were the best can't wait to return again soon �
Never been and my boyfriend took me as had been with friends, absolutely amazing and food, drink and atmosphere was amazing! Definitely coming back again!
Would definitely recommend the bucket of chicken and dirty fries - really nice. The place was pretty much empty when we arrived but it was early - around 4pm ish. Quite a good selection of drinks as per the photos uploaded (with prices). They have a few different type of store fronts inside the venue that you can order food from you walk up and order your food and pay, then they give you a buzzer to collect when the food is ready. Ladies toilets are inside and mens outside to the side. The venue is inside the indoor garden. Decking outside overlooking billingsgate with a few tables with ashtrays for any smokers.
Great place to go for lunch or spend time with friends.
Thunderbird seems to be the main favourite here, the queue can be ridiculously long sometimes.
Food is tasty and drinks are good too. Bit pricey, so may be somewhere to treat yourself every now and then.
Ohhhhh! The atmosphere was busy but cool. Crowded but it is so big in there that there is enough room to mingle. Drinks were gorgeous and the food was delicious...ordered chicken sharing meal for 3 and it was well appreciated

Cool place to hang out with a group of friends , no bookings allowed . Various street food stalls , some on the pricey side . This review is for the dumpling place , Yum Bun .. really tasty and reasonably priced for Canary Wharf . Recommend you avoid during the weekdays/ weeknights unless you work in the wharf
Great place to have food and drinks. There is large choice of options for those the different taste and a great place to go in groups. Usually seating should be available.
Gourmet street food without the "street" side of it, a little on the expensive side.
I've been here a few times, including the opening day.
I've tried all the stalls except the Thunderbird, and the food is really good. As i said maybe a little expensive, but considering the location it was to be expected, it cannot be compared to the "real" street food.
The place is covered and heated, plenty of space to seat or stand, and has also a long outside terrace circling the whole place with good views.
The atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly, both aspects not that common in Canary Wharf.
The staff was a little inexperienced on the first day, but they are steadily getting better.
The Beer Bar offers a great changing selection of draught and bottled/canned beers.
The cocktail bar is a little disappointing. The cocktails are watered down and expensive, and the bartenders are not experienced mixologists.
For a cocktail better head to Dr Kluger's a couple floors down.
I had a good time at this contemporary and lively street food market.
Brought to us by the same company that gave us Hawkerhouse in Canada Water and Dinerama in Shoreditch, Giant Robot is much smaller than its siblings, but does still offer a fantastic fare from vendors from around the world. The Black Bear burger was just superb.
Based in Canary Wharf, the crowd you'll find here is office workers from nearby so, expect to find a lot people in suits. But don't that put you off though as the vibe is relaxed plus the bar will keep people too merry from judging.
There's an outside balcony overlooking nearby Billingsgate Market and Giant Robot is situated right next to the Canary Wharf station sky garden so, it is quite pleasant to get to.
In summary: good food, friends, lively vibes, contemporary interiors: Giant Robot ticks all the box for a decent night out. I'd still rather go to its more popular brethren mentioned above though.
Sometimes I come for lunch as a Friday treat and it isn't too busy. Thunderbird sells very tasty fried chicken, but it is expensive. Normally I go for a Box with chips and one piece of chicken £8. Service is very quick and staff are proactive in cleaning tables.
Not bad if you come on Sundays and they've a promo version of some of their menu items. Hearty American food and pretty cool venue to be honest, in an American diner sort of way.
Nice vibe, great shuffleboard table, good food though the wait times at all food trucks are usually really long and some items are a bit pricey for the portion you get. Think a couple of trucks might have left or changed - seems like less choice than there use to be. Good views of the are though and nice indoor Arden’s to walk around the outside of the venue too.

We went to the giant robot for a team outing event. It is located on the top level of the cross rail place, to the east side. Should be relatively easy to find.
Basically this place is made up of a few stations: beer bar, cocktail bar, and a series of street food stands. Each of us had a few drinks, which were good. And we also had the fried chicken from the thunderbird, which was fantastic!
We order a few different varieties of the flavors for the wings, and a whole bucket of chicken. I like the Buffalo flavored wings. Haven't had these since moved from the US. Compare to the US Buffalo wings, the acidic smell wasn't as strong, but they were more tasteful. For the chicken bucket, they poured a layer of musturd/Mayo mixed sauce on top which added some more interesting flavors when biting together with the chicken.
I would recommend the place to others. The only thing to bear in mind is the place can get really crowded after work. It is difficult to get around to get second rounds or order food. Also the music and noise level is high. I had to shout to talk to my friend sitting on the other side of the table. I felt I was losing my voice afterwards.
Very large Bar and Restaurant with adjoining roof-top forest. Nice place to visit. Has pool and games inside. Can get pretty full, noisy and boisterous in the after office hours and especially on Friday. If you like socialising with lots of people then do visit !
Nice street food market to enjoy a drink and some food. Limited in it's selection compared to other street fest venues, but really good quality and nice atmosphere.
Good food and beer. Many places to seat. Worth a visit. The chicken wings are very nice. Crab roll a bit too expensive for the quantity. I hope for more options to come.
Excellent place to hang out with friends and work colleagues. Easy accessible until midnight. Good atmosphere and good music. Suggestions need more food varieties but very sociable.
Good for cocktail bar & food. Expensive. Top floor of Crossrail. Great views.
