No. 1 place to grab a work lunch in the area - outstanding service coupled with delicious food offered at an affordable price. While small, the venue is kept tidy at all times and equipped with everything you need - even power banks to rent. Dozens of returning customers and myself can wholeheartedly recommend this place.
Good place for a quick lunch, the portions are quite big and the coconut curry had a lot of flavour. There is a limited space inside if you wan to it in. The staff was nice even though we vere a few minutes before closing.
Came here for a Friday lunch. It was not busy so I could take my time understanding the ordering process. I had wanted both bhan mi and pho. The pho is ready on a refrigerator shelf and they add the soup and heat up. It was the perfect serving and I enjoyed both very much!! I wish we had this in my village as I would order it so much! Also my village doesn’t have Vietnamese so coming to London I try a different place for pho (not the chain Pho because they’re not that great tbh)… this place I’ve enjoyed and hope others give them a try!
I only have photo of the spicy beef pho as it was what I ate seated in their restaurant. The pork and shrimp bhan mi I ate while walking sites in London my it too was so delicious!
Super delicious chicken curry with rice. Good sized portion. Had to queue for 10-12 mins and this is not new for any good for outlets during lunch time. Would return.

Very nice street food vietnamese. Tried the Pho soup and the Bo Bun vermicelli salad. Very tasty and for just £8.95, it is really a treat.

The best lunch take out in London! I have been using since the opening day! You will not taste more authentic flavours, created in house with love and care. The staff are welcoming and if I was recommending one place to try in our great city, this would be it! Quality and taste second to none!

Exceptional food, friendly staff and particularly generous portion sizes at very reasonable prices. I’ve travelled around Vietnam and this comes closest to recreating the authentic flavours I remember and love. A must visit for lunch in the city!
Great service. Great food. Great price. Plenty of vegetarian options. Minus one for over packing the meal and having plastic on literally everything. That's the general London plague of never recycling and never caring. Hope you are cured of it next time I visit! <3
Chao now is the perfect lunch spot for anybody who happens to find themselves in the Blackfriars area.
Both their beef pho and chicken bánh mì were flavourful and filling thanks to generous portions offered, packing a lovely amount of heat for those that opt for the spicy versions. The vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers made for excellent side dishes and all together the pricing was very reasonable.
The staff were lovely and helpful with offering suggestions.
Would highly recommend to all!
