I love The Phoenix. Nearly all the staff are absolutely terrific. Super crew at the moment. The food is amongst the best gastro pub food. Good, changing menu. And for Sunday roast, it's one of the top three in Chelsea
Absolutely loved this pub.. friendly smiling helpful staff.. the dining area is really cute and quant made to look like a secluded reading area almost library like... the food was amzing and a rather large menu plenty to choose from.. the food didn't take long to arrive either! On a whole a really nice evening out with great good and excellent service... I would definitely go back.
Lovely cosy family pub. Nice staff. Did not eat but don't doubt food would be good

So much fun. Sara was a great server. The food was a great upscale twist in traditional Pub options.
Great little pub, friendly staff and excellent food and service.
Fabulous food, a wee hem in Smith Street
great staff! they were really nice and willing to help... the place is amazing!
I’m sorry, I just can’t get rid of it now, that song in my ear! ‘By the time I get to Phoenix, she’ll be rising….’. You know, the Glen Gampbell one from forever ago. It would be much more edifying to think of the Phoenix rising from the ashes, of inner renewal, of the cleansing by fire blah blah but I’m being pedestrian here and, happily humming as I walk from Sloane Square down the Kings Road, take a left at Smith Street and then already spot the warm glow on the corner there.
Nice food. Good service. I don’t usually eat at pub, but that was a great surprise!
🚇 Sloane Square
🍺 £6.70 Estrella
❤️ A handsome Chelsea Gastro.
.
The Phoenix is situated in the heart of Chelsea just off the Kings Road. Getting here is easy, Sloane Square tube is a pleasant ten minute walk.
.
There is a claim that this is the oldest pub in Chelsea, records show that this pub was built in the late eighteenth century. However, The Crosse Keys near Chelsea Embankment currently owns this title.
.
This pub has a beautiful tiled exterior and ornate balustrades running around the first floor which make this pub very easy on the eye.
.
The decor here is traditional with a contemporary edge. The walls are painted pastel colours with an eclectic mix of prints dotted around. The seating is a mix of traditional tables and chairs, banquettes and a cosy booth to relax in. The severy is located on the left hand side with the main dining area at the rear of the bar.
.
The beer selection was good, I opted for a pint of Estrella. My pint was decent and price point was to be expected. The food menu is elevated pub classics, Fish & Chips costs £18.50. This pub is popular on Sundays for its roast dinners, Roast Chicken with all the trimmings comes in at £19.
.
I visited with my Daughter around 3pm on a Sunday lunchtime, the pub was busy with the majority of punters here for a roast. There was a nice buzz around the pub and the vibe was upbeat. The service was good, we were served by a friendly member of staff who sorted our drinks in no time at all. After we got our drinks, we looked for somewhere to sit and noticed a few empty tables with knives and forks on. I’m not a fan of empty tables with cutlery on as I feel that it acts a deterrent for drinkers not to sit there. We ended up sitting at a low level table which did feel a bit like a waiting area.
.
@thephoenixsw3 is a cheerful pub which is popular with locals and those who are after a bite to eat. In my humble opinion I feel a few more provisions could be made for those here for the beer. Overall, It’s a well run pub with a nice environment, definitely worth a look if you’re in and around the Kings Road.

FISH…AND…CHIPS! That’s what I wanted when I visited London. Like any tourist, my wife and I visited a few pubs in the area to imbibe on classic British cooking. The Phoenix serves in my opinion the best fish and chips in Chelsea. I’ve had some variation of fried cod and French Fries back home in the USA, but nobody does it better than the mother country. Two young fellows were running the bar and front of the house when we arrived and they were busy, but both very pleasant and attentive. The kitchen was out of several items, but we didn’t mind as we had an objective in mind. The Young’s London Original ale has a fruity aroma, amber color, and a slightly bitter finish. For fellow Americans, very similar to Yuengling. The atmosphere is vibrant and warm. I’ll be sure to try the Phoenix Pie next time. If you’re in the mood for excellent fish and chips or a nice pint then you should visit the Phoenix in Chelsea. Cheers!
Nice relaxing pub that is also family and dog friendly. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They serve a good selection of beers wines and spirits. They also serve food too. Nice place to stop for lunch or dinner
Delicious Sunday roast - we had the chicken and veggie roast which was an absolutely divine mushroom and spinach Wellington. All arrived at perfect temperature, all trimmings very nicely done (especially celery purée) and staff very friendly and efficient as always! Highly recommend
The Phoenix on Smith street in Chelsea is above all comfortable. A very well turned out take on the traditional British pub. The beer was good and cold. Also, a couple of cask ales available for those that do. There is a small but well chosen menu if you are hungry, don't miss the specials on the blackboard. This is a really pleasant place to have a drink in the company of the friendly efficient staff.
An attractive & busy family friendly Gastro pub. Blown away by their Sunday Roast. A generous portion of meat & superb quality locally sourced vegetables. Good value & Very tasty!! Highly recommended
Small pub with great food, drink, helpful staff and atmosphere! Would definitely return.
The place gives you the typical english vibe, the food is delicious (i got the pork belly roast), wine was good and the people working here are very kind and they care for the work they do, you can see It right away.
Great service with a nice range of well kept beers. Cocktails were on point. Food was outstanding and incredibly good value for the price. A hidden gem just off the Kings Road and not at all touristy. Will definitely be back!
