My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, service was amazing and the atmosphere was really lovely with chill out music. We had to travel 50 miles to be able to have dinner here but it was totally worth it! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything.
First time having hungarian food but won’t be our last! Highlight of the meal was the side of garlic and parsley potatoes by far.
The wiener schnitzel was nice and the chicken paprikash had a really creamy sauce which went well with the dumplings. Not a huge fan of the dessert but still a great little restaurant!
Found this place via TripAdvisor. Beware, they have their old address listed and have not updated it. We had to travel and walk a bit outside of downtown London, but it was WELL worth it. The lady running the place was also the server, and she was absolutely awesome and so nice. She explained things to my wife, who had never had Hungarian food before. We found that the majority of food in London does not have much flavor, typically just bland. That is not the case at Lakehouse! Their food is tasty and delicious. Having been to Budapest a couple of times, this place is definitely authentic Hungarian. Their gulyás is the real deal! I wouldn't have known I wasn't in Hungary. Their wings were delicious, perfectly cooked and crispy. Their pancake hortobagyi was to die for! Highly recommend going here.
I came here with my partner for a spot of late lunch and it was lovely. The owner was very welcoming and we had a nice chat with him throughout our meal. The restaurant is in a very understated location and has a very charming interior which is very authentic Hungarian. The food was really delicious and extremely generous portions. I have already been recommending them to my friends. I can't wait to come back soon for dinner and drinks!
Absolutely delicious food! We enjoyed every bite! The sauce on the svabish style pork was to die for and the paprikish chicken with the small dumplings was so yummy. We will be returning asap. Lovely friendly atmosphere, definitely worth a visit.
We were cycling in the area and came across this little piece of Hungary in E11. I was with a Hungarian friend and he confirmed the dishes we chose were authentic and we both agreed tasty 😋 The service was friendly and efficient. We hope to return soon 💛

Lovely atmosphere, service and the food was great just like home. We will return.
A hidden gem of a place. Traditional Hungarian dishes, good quality, generous portion sizes at reasonable costs. Friendly manager who was more than willing to offer recommendations and advice on dishes. Look forward to the next time I visit again.
I and my Portuguese friend visited the Lakehouse this lovely sunny Sunday. We were so amazed by the homemade chicken pate and goualsh and chicken soup were also very yummy. We recommend that ask some bread for goulash soup. They served the soups in rustic bowls. The mains are very fullfilling and big portions. Always go for parsley potatoes instead of chips! It is worth a lot. And the desserts? Mmmm you have a few choices. Hungarian crepes, Hungarian trifle, chestnut puree with fruits and whipping cream.
For drink: I tasted their lemonade. I really loved it.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, cosy and handmade decorated.
If you can, and have had experience within just share it with your friends and family.
