Went for an evening meal. Our first time at the Crown. Fair choice of dishes. We had Chicken Milanese and a burger. Both were fine and we liked the chips. The chicken was perhaps a little over cooked as was the accompanying fried egg. We had beer but their choice was very limited with no draft beer on offer. The outdoor seating in the rear yard was fairly full and there was a big party at the end. The service was ok if a little slow.
Very nice pub for drinks in an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. Picpoul was very good, it is a bit confusing though if they provide table service or one must buy drinks from the bar. Restaurant was completely empty so not sure if I would eat there.
Me and my party visited twice; once for drinks and once for dinner.
The drinks were good but not exactly good value (it's standard for chiswick so not bad nor good). The staff was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Very nice atmosphere and decor though.
The second visit and dinner was good. Service was very good and attentive. Dinner was good to great but could have been better. Burger was slightly overcooked and the grilled porkchop was a little tough. However, other dishes were very good. Dessert included the toffee pudding which was perfection!
Overall I would recommend it to others but it's slightly below what you expect for the price regarding food and pricing. Staff and the space are both fantastic.
Visited for drinks. Nice venue; only thing is that it's a bit try hard and it's never really worked for us. Trying to go for a casual drink has always resulted in some confusion; it is table service (sort of), you for get greeted at entry and shown to a table (sort of), staff try and offer a "higher level" of service but their efforts are often misplaced. Long and short the fancier additions to the service to seperate it from a standard pub and class it as a "lounge" as google says mean it's a worse experience to get a table, getting a drink at the table can be annoying (either no service or constant hassling) attending the bar you often have you often feel out of place (as you should be waiting for table service that hasnt come) and you pay for it in the prices.
Fantastic food and excellent service.
We turned up at around 6pm without a booking and they were very busy especially with a party. However, they were so welcoming and fully accommodating. We had my 4yo and 7mo granddaughters with 4 adults and a birthday cake for our 4yo.
We were seated in a spacious area near the back so we had lots of room for the pushchair. Our host was so warm and friendly and he took our orders while all the time advising and when the food arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised. The quality and flavour was there. EXCELLENT!!!!
We will definitely be going back and thank you to the host and The Crown for your hospitality. A really lovely experience ☺️
Went for a Friday drink at the bar with a friend. Cost place for a drink and music at a decent sound level so you can still have a conversation.
We only stopped here for a quick drink before going on to dinner somewhere else. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff were very friendly. We plan on going back to try the food soon as it looked delicious
We spent a night in this hotel/pub/restaurant in Chiswick. Cozy and warm ambiance with caring staff. We went for some starters(burrata with mango vinaigrette and Parma ham and beef tartare with egg yolk) super delicious 😋 to try out also Brie bites with raspberry compote. We opted for two burgers with fries as our mains.
Lovely place, I will come back soon
A group of us went for a meal and drinks to celebrate a friend's birthday here. We ordered burgers and a few minutes later were told it's not available. The same thing happened with our second choice (wish we were told in advance what's not available when we got there, hence the -1 star). At this point we considered going elsewhere, but not being familiar with the area or how busy other places would be we stayed. The food was nice, although the fries were very salty (everyone in our group thought so). Our waiter was polite and professional.
Gorgeous pub and a boutique hotel with 4 beautifully finished room - high ceilings, TV, coffee machine, king sized bed, spotless bathroom - we loved our stay here. The restaurant serves a wonderful, comforting dinner menu - vegan menu available too! Dimly lit and romantic in the evenings, fresh, modern and vibrant bar and work space in the day time!
This Crown has a nice atmosphere and the serive is great. The chicken roast was nice but the beef roast was a let down because it was too fatty.
There is a good selection of wines and the cocktails were also good.
We had a good experience but the food and drinks are quite pricey.
Had a beautiful vegetarian pasta - worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant but without the price tag. Absolutely delicious. As a vegetarian I often find my choices are less interesting but the Crown did a wonderful job. The service was good too.
I like this pub for a few drinks, especially in the summer as it has a lovely outdoor space. The service is really hit and miss, the sunday roast is average though the regular food selection is great.
A nice pub with a good location
