Fantastic selection of real ales, gins and many more liqueurs. The bar staff were friendly and happy to offer samples of the ales. There is a downstairs comedy theatre which wasn't on when we visited but it looked like a nice cosy venue and prices seemed very reasonable. I would love to revisit thi
Long bar with wooden and metal touch’s. A pleasant pizza man is located just at the back, cooking up elastic dough in a genuine oven. However the real show is down stairs on Tuesday evenings. Established and up and coming comedians test new and novel material on unwitting audiences. Expect a laugh,
The beer was unfortunately a little disappointing in this little (& very popular) craft beer taproom. There wasn’t a huge selection on cask or keg but there were a few more beers in the fridges. Although for me the pleasure of a taproom is being able to have a good draft.
The pizza here are however
A nice unpretentious spot on upper Upper Street. Friendly service on all my visits. Great range of well-kept beers and knowledgeable staff. Pizzas served at the moment are best value in this part of town. Yum/slurp.
Great beer. Pizza is good but very popular with some long waits - order to the left of the bar.
Affordable, good atmosphere, local beer! That's awesome!
Very much shabby chic. Seating is mainly long benches which is not great for a couple. Nice selection of unusual beers a well as gin and wine menu. Proper pizza oven on site with small but varied selection of made to order pizzas, all customizable with whatever extras you may want.
Decent beer brewed on site and a good selection of other brews on tap. Nice atmosphere, but the server looked bored to be there, and didn't utter a single word, not even to tell me how much it'd be! Would be good with a group as the tables are long beer garden type benches
Lovely bar on Upper Street. I went their to see a comedy gig downstairs but spent half an hour upstairs before the gig. Good vibe. Pleasant staff and the food, mainly pizzas looked and smelt good. Definitely will return there.
I went to the tap room for some after work drink and though the place was pretty good, especially for anyone into their beers and ales.
They have barrels lined up behind the bar & the staff seem pretty knowledgeable recommending their favorite when I asked which IPA to go for. The bar itself is nic
The venue is nice and warm, feels like a mix between a real ale pub and a modern craft beer bar, but manages to combine them well together. The Cask ale display behind the bar is not only good for space but is a nod to Britain's great beer heritage. Food from the pop up lords of doughtown is fantast
Great beer pub with a good variation of pizzas as well so you are able to grab some food when required. There is also a bottle shop at the front which has a good range of beers in addition to the ones behind the bar. Good atmosphere as well.
Went there before a concert in the Islington Assembly Hall. The place is nice, high ceilings and a little outdoor space and they have a pizza oven. The others enjoyed the beers on tap. They also sale a range of craft beers to buy, including some pretty interesting gluten free beers, but you have to
Great atmosphere and nicely decked out - it's a good place to come for drinks (although I'm not a big fan of their beer). The service is a little off. The best thing about here is the generous portions of finger food. Don't miss the pizzas - the chilli pizza is ingeniously finished with a drizzle of
It's all about the beer. Stripped back decor. Nice rotating selection of craft ales. Usually they have some hot food from a pop-up outfit. It's fairly small and 'shop' shaped, so lacks a touch of the local pub atmosphere.
Always an interesting selection of ales, beers and ciders. Mondays are usually half-price cask ales, which shouldn't be missed. Prices are reasonable considering these are higher-end. Music has been consistently good, and never so loud you cannot have a conversation.
Held a party for 50 friends in the basement space last weekend. Gabor and Giulio were incredible, they catered for all our needs (drinks tab, DJ rigs, projector setup etc) with a smile throughout. Everyone had a great time and the whole event only required a £100 refundable security deposit which we
Very easy to miss and walk right by. Very good selection of cask and keg beers. Very rough and ready finish to place, but I liked the look. £4.30 average price for a pint, in nice condition too.
