Best coffee in Barnes, yummy food and great vibes!!
Popped in today with my brother and we had a sudden unforeseen which made nearly cancel our order. However, the staff was super comprehensive and served us in the fastest time possible. The chef also agreed on serving a side off-menu, thank you! Great value too. One star off only because they forgot to bring salt and pepper which I took from another empty table and brought us the wrong juice (was still delish). Overall would deffo recommend!!
Had brunch there on Saturday - incredibly wonderful service from all the team there - huge smiles and very helpful. Scrambled eggs were both generous in size and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be going back! Thank you Cafe 40 and see you soon ♥️
Gorgeous cafe with a lovely vibe and delicious menu. It closes too early though! It would be wonderful if it stayed open a little longer for more tea and cake.
What a cool place for coffee and healthy food. Past 2 years I have been walking past this place but never went inside. Just 2 days ago I went there with a friend. Amazing coffee! I also had Avocado scramble eggs. Very tastylicious! I was told the eggs were from Cornwall. I was rest assured that chickens didn’t fly into London 🙈😁..

Great decor & lovely food. A great addition to White Hart Lane. There are outside tables plus windows that open right up, which really help bring the outside in. Plenty of tables as well. Been dreaming about the yoghurt & granola ever since!
Everything perfect. No. 40 has what is needed to deserve 5 stars. Excellent service, nice location to a smallere street, and marvelous food. Never had so delicious granola before.
Done most of the cafes in Richmond and this is the nicest so far. Well for me anyway.
Only popped in for drinks, would of liked lunch but sadly was in a rush .
So first off we were greeted by a nice friendly member of staff. Then our order was taken. It arrived quickly and was very nice. We paid and left.
Nice and simple and no messing....perfect.
But it wasn't just the nice service I liked and the nice cappuccino . It was the decor and how clean it was. Very cozy and warm. Minimal but with a lot of effort.
If I'm in the area again I will be popping in for sure.
Ps. I love the sink in the toilet and the counter work surface

Best scrambled eggs in town. Sets you up for the Day in the best possible Way AND the service is very good, fast and efficient which makes a HUGE difference to the whole experience

This is a lovely little cafe. The atmosphere is very nice and the décor is done to a high standard. The person serving us was very friendly and helpful and the food and hot drink I had was delicious! Overall, I enjoyed every minute being there.
Wow! I could see the passion and great customer care. I had a great time after a walk of 2 hours. Walked from Shepherds Bush and this cafe can the reason to repeat the walk.
Coffee, pastries, and a nice selection of breakfast dishes on our visit. Very friendly and a homely atmosphere. Table in the window reserved for the regular breakfast customer and we can see why. Very convenient if you want breakfast on White Hart Road😀
No 40 has to be THE best cafe for coffee in Barnes. As a Melbourne gal , I have lived here for 6 months, and initially despaired over the standard of coffee in Barnes until I found NO 40. I felt like I was home again in Melbourne with high quality well roasted coffee for my daily Flat whites. Plus the staff are just fabulous beautiful people. So sad to leave today. Thank you NO 40 for keeping me in coffee while in Barnes. Sally Arnold.
Perfect place to come and have breakfast on a weekend. They have plenty of tables and space to sit and permit dogs to enter the cafe too. The staff are friendly and plentiful so you won't be waiting around long. Coffee is great and the portion sizes are generous, highly recommend the sausage sandwich with a fried egg!
Ate brunch at No 40 Cafe on Saturday morning. I had a latte and the sausage sandwich, Delia had a flat white and granola, Ann had Americano and the veggie sandwich. All were really good and generous. Ann and I ended up sharing.
The staff were fab, funny and friendly.
Our fellow customers who were sat outside were great sports too and up for a giggle.

Excellent! Amazing coffee, I'll say it again, amazing coffee. Breakfast/Brunch options are exactly what you want, fresh, excellent ingredients, perfect poachers! Wonderful service from the charming staff, nothing's ever a problem. Love eggs and coffee? Love this place. I feel lucky to have it so close to home.
