Recently had an exceptional dining experience at this lovely restaurant. I highly recommend their truffle-infused chicken salad; it's truly outstanding. The service was impeccable, and I was so impressed that I even suggested to my fiancé that we consider them for our wedding catering. Highly recommended! Book in advance.
This place is crazy busy. I checked the website and had to make a reservation 1-2mo ahead. So, I decided to roll up right when they opened, only queued for 30min. Lucky us, me and 2 friends got an outdoor barrel table. A slight drizzle ain’t a problem cause the food was out of chart, especially the hummus, it was next level, seriously the best hummus I’ve ever had. Love the lamb more than the chicken skewers. The waitress who served us was super cool! Nice and friendly.
What an incredible restaurant. I was blown away by both the food and hospitality of the staff. We were seated at the counter and all of the staff were so courteous and caring - it seemed like a really lovely team of people.
The food was unreal, we had a chicken kebab, rice and a few dips to share and honestly everything we had was incredible. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This was the best meal we had in our 10 day trip. I would have eaten here twice in one day. The kebabs were perfectly cooked and chicken perfectly grilled. The black sesame hummus is something I would fly back for. I would definitely make sure to make a reservation first or else they will tell you to come back at 10pm. Once inside, the service was superb and the atmosphere was like a Iranian cafe. Comfortable and perfect for getting cushy with friends.
Loved loved loved our dinner here! It was tough to get a table so really book in advance, because it is really worth it!
The atmosphere was great, the service utmost friendly, the food DELICIOOOUUSS! Very well deserved their Michelin bib gourmand. Also, portions are generous (we went for the “feast” menu for the whole table, we were a group of 5).
First time having Persian cuisine and we absolutely loved it. This restaurant serves small mezeh plates, ideal to share.
It's a very busy and small restaurant and it is recommended to book a table.
Great experience. Highly recommended.
Very nice persian spot in the heart of London. The taftoon bread was absolutely delicious and the hummus was great too. The olivieh was decent. The koobideh kabab was very tender and succulent, better than other persian spots I've been to. However you only get 1 skewer and a little bit onions and roasted tomato for £18. Central london prices for you! The house rice was just standard rice, nothing special. This place is very busy so book in advance otherwise u will be waiting outside for 3 hours! Also the high stool seats I found were not that comfortable so would recommend getting a table. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Overall this place is great but meat portions could be bigger
This London Persian restaurant is a true gem. We had Koobideh Kabob and Joojeh Kabob, both amazing. The Shirazi Salad, Doogh, Paniz Sabzi, Kashk-e Bademjoon, and Jigar were all delightful. A must-visit for an unforgettable Persian dining experience.
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. It has become one of my favourite restaurants in London, and it was the first time I’d experienced Persian cuisine. We opted for the feasting menu which covered the best of the menu, but it contained loads of food! So only order this if you’re very hungry! We struggled to finish it. My favourites were the hummus, the chicken starter/dip, lamb kofte and rice (I’ve never had rice that tasted that good).
Astonishingly busy, but more than worthwhile if you don’t have to queue for ages or you book in advance.
Bar seat was an ace place to sit and service was swift. There’s a short, decent wine list. Kebabs we’re excellent, bread superb, as was the hummus and feta and I particularly appreciate the massive volume of herbs that come with this kind of cooking! There’s nothing earth shattering about it all, but it’s all very, very slick and delivers what it promises.
Deffo a restaurant to try. Incredible experience. Managed to bag a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. Staff were efficient and had great recommendations, the food arrived quickly and was delicious, so flavourful and generous portions. With a beer and service charge we spent £33 a person and were stuffed. Atmosphere is superb and they have air con.
I love everything about this place; the food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. I was reluctant to order the hummus, as for me, the best hummus is that made by Levantine Arabs. That was until I saw their interpretation of a hummus; it was made with the usual tahini but with some creative additions such as raisins, and garnished with crispy onions and shaved walnut. It was undoubtedly the best hummus I've ever had. You must order this - it was exceptional and the best dish we ordered. I also ordered the minced lamb kebab as it's easier for me to digest, and that was beautifully-cooked. The salad was refreshing, and the sourdough bread made in a tannour clay oven was delicious. The only thing I wouldn't order again were the gherkins as they were pretty standard. Everything else was superb. The staff was lovely too. So, a top 5 stars from me!
Amazing food at this persian place in soho. We couldn't book ahead, got there early and waited 50 minutes for a table, it was very worth it. The aubergine paste and the sourdough were amazing. Prices are very honest for the quality they offer. Will definitely come back
Firstly it gets busy, to avoid a 2 hour wait as a walk in like I did, book in advance.
If you do wait you'll get a text message and 15 mins to get there.
It's a very compact place so don't expect too much privacy.
The food is quality and the meat in the Jujeh and Kobedeh is tender. Note it's not a double and doesn't come with rice.
Somehow I was expecting it to be for the price, but then again I guess it's in Soho.
Service was excellent
Extremely popular place so would book a few weeks in advance.
Would highly recommend the small plates and in hindsight we should’ve just had those! The wholewheat flatbread freshly made in front of your eyes— could’ve been satisfied with this alone with all the dips and sides. Unfortunately not many vegetarian options for mains; I had the aubergine stew which was not worth the price, underwhelming in comparison to starters.
Came for a few snacks in the evening.
Had the famous black chickpea hummus, the delicious bread and feta with herbs.
To drink I had a lime soda (don’t quite remember the name).
The drink, hummus and bread were delicious. The feta and herbs were nothing special and difficult to eat.
The service was extremely attentive and friendly.
Atmosphere wise I would recommend the Borough location.
Lovely little authentic Persian restaurant, just a few minutes away from the Picadilly Circus craziness.
After a warm welcome from the manager, we got to sit at the chef's counter (book early for a table!). Service was fantastic across the board and so was the food: great freshly baked bread from their clay tandoori oven, tasty mezze and simply delicious kebabs right from the charcoal grill.
All of this paired with some good drinks (cocktails, beer, wine) and the absolutely fantastic service were a winning combination. Very highly recommended for authentic Persian cuisine or middle eastern food in general.
