Authentic and tasty Indian meals. Service excellent, prices reasonable!
Food was exceptional. Really got the taste buds going!!
I love this restaurant. The Nihari and the Chicken are to die for. Also, lamb chops ❤️ I would give it 5 stars but for the lack of vegetarian options. For non-vegetarians though, it's one of the best places to eat in London.
Good Biriyani, nice chicken sheekh kebabs, disappointing lamb chops, okay naans - maybe I was expecting a lot more here ...normally my expectations from Pakistani cuisine is quite high. The Nalli Nihari was nice though !!
Been here a couple of times as this is probably the best pakistani restaurant nearby. And as it is in Marylebone it means a lot. Food is fantastic, quite spicy sometimes but on the other hand this restaurant is one with the concept BYOB that means bring your own bottle that you can buy on a liquor store in front. Small service charge for this or ask for a starter as you won't regret anyway. Coming back as soon as i am able.
Raina Kshetry (aka A Pinch Of Salt)
+4.5
Nostalgia creeps in when I think of Lahore restaurant. For starters it was my first time in London and a couple of friends dragged us along to get a taste of authentic Pakistani cuisine. Be rest assured my experience was worth a wonderful memory.
Its a typically close knit ambience like we have here in India therefore a more spacious seating arrangement is highly recommended.
Regards the food don't give their seekh kebabs, karahi gosht, pakistani chicken biryani, karahi mix veg and peshawari naan a miss.
I look forward to another visit to the UK and out here soon :)
I have been eating in Lahore for past 4 years, it's been superb experience evertime I go to resturent & one of the best resturent in world .very good food & best service you get there . Love the atmosphere .
Good Food. Right across the street from the Cockpit theater where i was going to watch a play. Very good food. I had the lamb chop app and the lamb korma main. Both were excellent. The korma was sweet and smooth. The lamb chops were excellent with a nice spice to them. Hot but not overpowering. Service was very nice. A good spot for some food.
Barbecued ribs are awesome!! Bring your own beer though - they don't sell it.
Originally a pub, this authentic Pakistani restaurant serves superb food in a friendly environment. The decor and layout are very good, and the staff very professional. Recommended.
Visited this place with a group of more than 20 people. We had to wait for over 30 mins to get a table. This place doesn't take bookings on phone so you might want to consider someplace else if you are organizing a big group dinner plan.
However, all our complaints and initial dissatisfaction went away in a flash as soon as the first dish arrived ! Authentic Indian food should be the complementary name of this place.
Nihari, Tandoori chicken, chicken butter masala and lamb chops are highly recommended. The service too was quick and prompt.
Although the tables are laid very close to each other and it might get uncomfortable for people who prefer privacy.
Full points for food.
however the ambience and service still has scope of improvement !
Went recently with a group of friends and had the most magnificent meal!
Started off the with their famous Lamb Chops and Seekh Kebabs and they were finished before you could say Jack Robinson. Had to order another round of these for starters.
The two dishes from our main course that I will be going back for again & again are the Nihari and the Paya. I always order Nihari with caution, but this was so so good! Very tender, almost coming off the bone and just the right amount of spices.
Now comes the Paya. Never heard about it earlier but all I'll say is it was so delicious that I forgot the story about it.
When it comes to value for money, this place surpasses expectations! I would happily pay extra for this quality & taste. Added advantage of BYOB.
If you like Indian / Pakistani food and are in London, you have to go to Original Lahore.
Only downside, the service could have been better.
WE VISITED THIS MAGNIFICENT PLACE, FOOD WAS GREAT... SPECIALLY MASALA FISH WAS FANTASTIC.... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS DELICIOUS FOOD... I WOULD RECOMMEND TO VISIT ONCE WHO WANTS TO TASTE REAL LAHORE STYLE FOOD....
We order food for delivery at work from here in Fridays. All the food is tasty and good quality and generally liked. But the biryani really stands out. It is outstanding stuff. Made very well - the lamb is tender and the spices are just right. Would highly recommend having this
My first experience with Indian food and it was amazing. Food was soooo good, and the gentleman was extremely courteous.
I visit Lahore at least once a month. I enjoy the ambiance and the spicy food Lahore offers. Being a vegetarian, i enjoy bhindi masala and dal fry the most along with chilli naan. Lahore delivers tasty food for decent price. The fact that it is a byob restaurant, it is even more economical when you hang out with big group of friends. My friends and i have always enjoyed eating here and the only request we have is please use less oil :-)
Great food! Authentic N. Indian / Pakistani. Great Seekh Kebabs and Biryani
Inexpensive. Good for large groups - feels like we often order almost everything on the menu and the bill comes to £15
BYOB or Wine!
But, food is a bit heavy, so come hungry
Visited with my friends for Eid Dinner and really enjoyed the experience. Food was great with enough portions. Their sprite was too good as I started loving sprite again after drinking that. Biryani was good and tasty so the lamb curry and gulab jamuns. Recommended if you want authentic Indian food and good place to sit 👍
This place is a combination of best taste, with a great service, awesome ambience. Yasin and Josh take it to the next level. Will definitely come back during our next trip to London
This restaurant ticked all of the boxes! Not only was my meal absolutely delicious and well presented (see photos), but the staff were attentive and lovely, the food was swiftly brought to the table, and the ambiance of the venue was welcoming and alluring. I will be back when I’m next in the area 😊
A very authentic Pakistani restaurant in the heart of central London. You can’t get closer to the taste of Pakistani food than this outside Pakistan. Ambiance is excellent and nice family restaurant to visit with friends. Enjoy local food in international ambiance.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Lahori Church Pakistani food restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance, which set the stage for a truly memorable dining experience.
First and foremost, the menu at Lahori Church is a testament to the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Pakistan. It offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes that cater to every palate. Whether you are a fan of traditional Pakistani cuisine or someone looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant has got you covered.
One standout aspect of my visit was the impeccable service. The staff at Lahori Church were not only attentive and friendly but also had an extensive knowledge of the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and assist with any dietary restrictions. Their passion for the food they serve truly shone through, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my time there.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. Every dish I sampled was an explosion of flavors and spices that transported me straight to the streets of Lahore. The biryani, a staple in Pakistani cuisine, was fragrant, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The kebabs were tender and succulent, while the curries were rich, creamy, and infused with aromatic herbs and spices.
What truly impressed me about Lahori Church was their commitment to maintaining the authenticity of Pakistani flavors. The chefs clearly take pride in using traditional cooking techniques and sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients. This dedication to quality is evident in every bite and is what sets this restaurant apart from the rest.
If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss out on their delectable desserts. The sheer variety of traditional Pakistani sweets on offer is astounding, and each one is a pure indulgence that will leave you craving for more.
Overall, my experience at Lahori Church Pakistani food restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm and friendly service to the tantalizing flavors that danced on my taste buds, it was a culinary journey that I won't soon forget. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to savor the authentic tastes of Pakistan in a welcoming and vibrant setting.
This review is based on my personal experience and opinions.
I think the best Nihari that I have had in a while ! Good ambiance with Pakistani pop art which makes the place very lively
I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Delicious food and outstanding service. It was our first experience of Pakistani cuisine and the manager and waiter were so kind and patient with us and their food did not disappoint! 100% will be back there again soon!
Yummy food. All served fairly quickly n at the same time. Very filling. The papari chaat was very yum. Masala fish exceeded expectations. Would go again.
We enjoyed wonderful lunch today.Mix grill platter enough good portion for 4 of us .More than food we had exchanged lots on India - Pak cricket ,politics and so much .Good service and knowledge sharing from Josh .Thank you very much indeed . Delicious food ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We ordered butter chicken and paneer karahi, both delicious. The service was great, and we even got complimentary kulfi. We highly recommend Lahori!
Curry's were excellent. Disappointed with naans. They seemed reheated and dry. Actually thinking about it they were terrible. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.
The food was fabulous and vegetarian options available at a great price too.
The room was a little warmer than needed.
Service was great!
