I've waited 10 years in Hither Green for a place like this to open up. Good, honest food and great service. We go here most weekends for a breakfast treat, mine being scrambled eggs with salmon on sourdough toast. Get it, it's fit.

The Best Cappuccino ever!Excellent food!Excellent Staff!Best coffee shop in the area!!Thank you!
Its a lovely little coffee shop to the south of Brockley in Crofton Park with a retro 1950's vibe and a great ambiance. I'm a sucker for the formica tables and mis-match chairs!
The compact menu is split into breakfast, 'sexy toast' , delicious sounding sandwiches and a soup and quiche of the day.
Arlo and Moe is a great neighbourhood cafe that is fresh, has friendly staff, good music playing, bright interior and a great selection of food.
My friend went for broccoli & stilton soup while I had ‘sexy toast’ of sour dough with cream cheese, honey and cinnamon. Both of us having a lovely little pot of tea from a unique selection.
It was cheap, good quality and had a nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back down next time I visit friends in Brockley.
Arlo & Moe can be found at 340 Brockley Road, about 10 minutes walk from the Brockley East London Line station. We paid just over a fiver each.
Cute retro cafe - very tasty beans on toast with chorizo and cheese. Old school food served in good portions
A great local café that hits all the right notes. Relaxed atmosphere, fairly predictable quieter times to visit, and a decent selection of homemade food. Good for locals wanting to settle on a regular, or visitors passing through Crofton Park Rail Station 30 seconds down the road.
UPDATE: Unfortunately had to knock one star off after a few weekend visits that were far slower and lower quality cooking than throughout the week, presumably due to a less experienced team on the rota. Still good, though.
Food could have arrived a bit quicker but when it did... wow .Best smoked salmon & scrambled egg on toast I've had for a good long while, and so much of it, well worth the price!
I liked the here. I liked that tarts here. Great coffee and decent home made food. Not a panini in sight. Nice music too. Popular with nice cyclists! I think I’ll visit here again. I liked samosas with spinach. when I was here, it was dynamic. Again I'll say this is a successful place
Tasty breakfast, great service, but the best bit was the lovely kitch menagerie of animal salt and pepper shakers...
Happy to know this local cafe! Great coffee and decent home made cake. Perfect Music&Service! Thank you for giving me the free pastry💖
Lovely atmosphere and the food is amazing. Very generous portions which I love. Great local place!
The eggs & chorizo are something to behold here - consistently delicious and very generous portion which is much appreciated!
Food portions are so generous, excellent coffee and chai latte, nice buzz, children friendly, friendly staff. Outside and inside seating turns over quickly and in demand.
Great menu, especially for breakfast. Fantastic coffee (even the decaf ;)) very relaxed vibe, lovely staff. Cool place to chill or do some creative work. Highly recommend. I walk 25 mins to get here because it’s so good!
My regular place to meet and eat. Brekkies are generous and delicious and the specials are amazing. Highly recommended 👌
Generous portions, friendly service and dog friendly. Will visit again.
Have been here a few times for breakfast and brunch with a friend who lives locally. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and they're child friendly too. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced, particularly the various sweet and savoury versions of the 'Sexy Toast' (the creamy mushrooms with garlic and herbs being my favourite). The servers are easygoing and there's no pushing you to order or to leave once you've finished eating, allowing for as leisurely a stay as you desire. Great place for a catch up!
It's staff are friendly, very sweet. I liked the tables outside, a lovely place to sit and read the paper, enjoy your snack, without being pushed to move on. However!!! The prices.... I stopped by as a support worker, with a client who needed a timeout. The prices, for 2 drinks and pastries for 2, £11.50? This felt like central London. Quirky, cute, yes, but the prices need adjusting. It's Lewisham, not Leicester Square!!! Still- loved my £2.40 croissant.
Really friendly service (though a little slow due to busy time) very welcoming to children with great food and atmosphere. A locals favourite hot spot: very much recommend!
