An charming little neighborhood spot serving elevated yet comforting British food. The restaurant is quite small (so book in advance) but warm and brightly decorated, with a friendly and smiling staff and an ever-changing menu. The food was delicious from start to finish - the artichoke on toast, the salad, the mains were all fresh, seasonal, and expertly prepared with not a pinch of salt missing. The server made sure to bring bread along with every saucy dish for us to mop up all the tasty leftovers. The wine menu is surprisingly eclectic, and we had a gorgeous Spanish white wine that was recommended by the team. Possibly the best part of the meal was dessert - a perfect treacle tart with the surprising but necessary addition of lemon to cut through the sweetness; bit of cream on the side didn’t go amiss either. In short, spent a lovely evening here and am sure to come back and try the food in other seasons as well!

We sat outside with our dog and had a lovely dinner. Food was great, large selection of wines, roast pork loin main was amazing but fried courgette starter and John Dory main felt overpriced for what we got. Staff was great, very helpful and even provided water for our dog.

What a little gem of a restaurant on a beautiful quiet street in Bloomsbury! Absolutely delicious frill-free food. The menu changes based on what's seasonally available, and everything we tried was exceptional. The flavours are finely balanced - everything just worked. Wonderful and helpful service too. Must come back to try more dishes!

Cute, quaint place on Store Street for a nice lunch. Since it's on a small street, we didn't get much noise from cars. Aside from noise, the restaurant was small and decorated with light colors. Booking is essential! When we came in, it seemed like it was completely empty, but within 30-45 minutes it was completely full.

A* grade Lunch Had a lovely long lunch in the sun here. Food is honest, seasonal and wholly satisfying. The wine-list varied and the staff have great knowledge and can easily make a recommendation. Rhubarb ice cream a last minute add-on abs so glad we did. Service was a little patchy but it’s a new opening and these are strange socially distant times. I am sure this will improve, and I look forward to returning soon to confirm.

Sitting on a quiet street in Bloomsbury, you can easily forget you are minutes away from bustling Tottenham Court Road in central London. I want to say that Café Deco is a 'hidden gem' but based on its popularity, that would be misleading! Booking seemed to be essential. When we arrived there were a couple of empty tables which filled up quickly on a Friday evening. We had prebooked a table for two for a birthday celebration. We were told the menu here changes weekly based on seasonal and available ingredients from sustainable, organic suppliers. We had looked online to see this week's menu in advance. Onto the food, simply superb! There is so much choice yet the front of house staff happily explained each dish and gave honest advice based on our preferences. We had read that the 'egg mayonnaise' was a menu staple so we had to try. Highly recommend! Rich, creamy mayonnaise over a stunningly yellow yolk egg with tangy, soft anchovies on top. I could eat that every day. We ordered two vegetarian main dishes to share as mains which was plenty for two people. The spinach and bread dumplings were full of flavour and light at the same time, they literally melted in the mouth. The brown butter sauce blew our minds! I guess you can choose whether you want to share plates or have your own. We found the portion sizes generous enough to share two mains between us but I know not everyone likes to share. The choice is yours. Since the menu changes weekly, it is hard to give exact recommendations but the hazelnut ice cream was a delightful end to an amazing meal. Front of house staff were extremely helpful advising us which wine to choose from a (very) long and well-curated wine list. There was so much choice, whether you want a more traditional flavour or something more exotic/trendy - cue orange wines and naturally sparkling natural wines! The pink rosé PIAK! from the Loire was absolutely delicious, helping us hold onto the last of summer. I can testify to the benefits of natural vs non-natural wines - less dehydration, easier palatability and more distinct flavours to accompany the food. The restaurant has a relaxed almost casual atmosphere yet with top-tier flavours, quality ingredients in a calming environment. It has a neighbourhood vibe and the friendliness of the staff make you feel like a regular patron. Service was perfectly attentive throughout the meal. The dining room downstairs felt more intimate which would be perfect for a different occasion. It sounds strange but there is something about the whole restaurant which made us both feel very calm after a busy working week. We were compelled to give our praise and thanks to the kitchen team as we left. Thank you again for a wonderful meal. We will both be coming back for more. I am excited to see how the menu changes as London enters its colder, comfort-food months!

had a lovely long lunch here. food was delicious and service was attentive and charming. wine list is extensive and interesting. just loses a star because it does seem really really expensive. £21 for a slice of quiche, even if it is the nicest quiche you've ever had, is too much. £34 for a fish stew. it's michelin star fine dining prices for rustic food. i recommend it for a treat or a special occasion lunch. the food really was lovely. it's just the kind of place you'd really rave about if the prices were a bit smaller.

A really beautiful evening! We sat outside and had a lovely dinner full of the kind of food that you could make yourself but it wouldn’t be anywhere near as good if you did. I really recommend the antipasti dish and the aubergine spaghetti. It’s a wonderful feeling to be surprise by how absolutely delicious the first bite is. I look forward to returning.

It’s a small jewel. The food is distinctively tasty and has a particular touch. And the wine selection and recommendations are also good. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it!

very happy to be here eating devilled eggs legs curled into my cutest the pie was so lovely homey cosy with delicious pastry not too heavy just right, just the right amount of mash on the side perfect and elegant anna tobias is so amazing we love her the pumpkin stew with chestnuts were so sweet and soft and rich the texture, makes me imagine the moon cheese softness and the salt sweet delight of a distant sea that tastes the same at every tongue lap no matter where if cafe deco were a thing it would be an anchovy
