I love visiting this place to have a good time with some amazing pastries, scones and some lovely English breakfast tea. Have tried the birthday cakes as well! Overall a great experience. And I must say that the coffee is great too..
It's a small and crowded place- but that's expected. We entered the place a little after 5 pm and had afternoon tea for two. I loved it. The food offered was delicious. You also get free re-fills of coffee and tea if you'd like. The service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Was worth the price i guess.
As always one of the most amazing cakes and pastries you will find on the main street! Stop off for tea and cake during the busy shopping spree. They have a good selection of tea and coffee for your tastebuds
Quando avistamos este espaço a fila para entrar era alguma, mas a montra e a própria fila acabou por nos cativar! E vale a pena a espera! O espaço é pequenino mas muito giro! Pedimos os tradicionais scones, que são enormes e que vem acompanhados por doce e manteiga! Para além de scones tem uma enorme variedade de bolos, tudo com um aspeto maravilhoso!
During my stay in London it was the everyday place for breakfast.
Great variety to chose.
The yogurth with honey is fantastic.
The ambience is confortable and the service very kind.
It's not unusual for me to go back to the same place over and over again.
Now my aim is to try all Patisserie Valeries in London.
This one's pretty. In Covent Garden, by a corner you cannot miss.
We had the selva cake and the cappuccino. Illy coffee, usually can't go wrong with it. The gateaux was yummy with fresh fruits. Will go back and try more things!
Patisserie Valerie is a lovely informal cafe where one can have a good breakfast or high tea and scones, the cakes are nice and huge in size.
The hot chocolate is quite good and the cream on top was very fresh, I had the full English breakfast which consisted of sausage, two eggs of my choice (scramble),grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans. The beans and scramble were very good, the mushrooms were nicely cooked and fresh. The only problem were the sausages, they were not very good and tasted a little stale I was quite disappointed since sausages in London are always good.
All in all I love patisserie Valerie and would go again for their hot-chocolate and eclairs.
If u do go make sure u have the hot chocolate with cream and their chocolate eclair.
Valerie is not the best café around but it certainly is quite good..
Their desserts are just mind blowing! I love their fresh fruit tart. This is the place to go if you want to indulge into something sweet and creamy!
They have the best All Day Breakfast and Brunch menu. The paninis are great, and the cakes are to die for. The cheesecake is one of my favourites. They also serve a wide range of teas and coffees. The place has a unique décor and the staff is really friendly. It's a great place for a lunch getaway.
franzipan with cherries and tartinis on the glass display are so inviting and delicious. though I would not expect so, they are quite exquisite with the belgian waffle, vanilla icecream and chocolate sauce to complement the crispy layers. Espresso to go with the sweet treat. every option with fruits, and especially the strawberry tartinis are an icon of this patisserie.
not such a boutique offering, but they are usually around central locations and ther service is rather quick with the nice lady trying to throw jokes at you and ensuring you have a nice time.
Charming and warm are two words that I instantly associate with Patisserie Valerie! Not being able to resist the pastries in the window were what drew me in, and I certainly don't regret trying it. I tried their Smoked Salmon Bagel, and it was perfect! Smoked Salmon is one of my favorite foods, and when topped on a toasty bagel with cream cheese, it is simply the best! I highly recommend Patisserie Valerie!
Nice coffee, very nice cakes, especially the fruit topped gateau :)
Sad to see they lack a smile most of the times they serve !
Their bagels are quite nice as well.
When i visited London, i always wanted to try scones and thanks to Patisserie Valerie who made a very delicious fluffy scones!
Okay all I want to write is-- BEST FRUIT CAKE EVER!! A close friend of mine figured out that I love fruit cakes and she decided to order my birthday cake from here.. And I will thank her for a long time for it. It was simply delicious!!! And they took the term "fruit" cake pretty seriously because it was loaded with all kinds of fruits!! So I decided to make a trip for coffee the next day and my experience was just as pleasant. I will highly recommend this place for cakes and pastries!!
Went here for afternoon tea yesterday, and it was fabulous! The staff were really friendly and accommodating. I forgot to say I was vegetarian but they kindly changed the meat sandwiches. The tasty treats included hummus and pepper, cheese and rocket, egg mayo, cucumber and goats cheese with sun blush tomatoes. The cakes were exquisite and the scones were delicious with proper clotted cream, a must as I am Cornish!! We couldnt quite eat everything but were given a beautiful box to take things away with us.
I would definitely recommend going here!!
Thank you for a lovely time
Always busy and tempting thanks to the colourful pastries in the window of this corner shop. Staff are friendly and polite and our little mix ups (no jam with cream tea) were fixed up quickly and with little fuss. Afternoon tea is pretty good value, three tiered sweet and savoury for just £25.
Been here twice. Great staff ! The place is usually crowded. We had to wait for around 10 mins to get seated. Wide variety of pastries and food options. We went there for breakfast and evening tea. Amazing food !!
I have been here over and over and I still can't have enough of their Hazenut latte plus the chocolate gateau!! Service is alright and their tea tastes okay too. But when you come here, you simply cannot walkout without at least trying one of the cakes!! Brilliant!
Excellent range of cakes - check out their gateau. This branch has late opening hours. Lovely stop off on our Covent Garden walkabout. Can be busy between 3-5pm
Very tasty, there are lots of cakes selections in this place. You need to try their black forest gateau. I've ordered the black forest, carrot cake, and fruit tart to try on. The ambient is very nice too and the staff are very polite as well.
We had a very tasty Cake experience at Patisseri Valerie Leicester Square last Saturday. As usual their Cakes are very rich in taste and larger in size. The staff who served us was very helpful and kind. Very reasonable prices too. If you are in Leicester Square and love Cakes, this is a must go place. I recommend. Thanks.

Wow, what a cute little French pastry shop! The service was prompt, the espresso was a real double, and the selection of pastries was diverse. (I was kinda bummed they didn’t have any gluten-free options but I’d probably have to go to a specialty place for that.)
The raspberry and custard tart I had was magnificent! Not too sugary or rich, just delightful.
I like that they have a special deal for several pastries and/or biscuits to share; I’d go back with a friend or my husband when I have more time.
Great spot for afternoon tea and sweets. Standard menu for the chain, which includes pre-made desserts, cookies, and small plates, along with a full coffee and drink bar. Service at this location is good, with attentive staff and prompt service. Not too large a crowd, even at peak hours, so there should be no problem finding a table, even at 3:30 on a Sunday.
Very tasty cakes especially the 4 pieces for £10 offer. The place is very busy and there is quite a wait for the orders to arrive at the table.
A very nice place for afternoon tea.
