Very accommodating service and very comfortable lounge. They subbed out the desserts for my diabetic mother in law with fresh fruit. All the food was very good, especially the scones, which didn't leave that film of weirdness in my mouth that some scones do. The whole afternoon tea experience is £35

Impressive hotel lobby which leads to a lovely little tea room. Tea and food selections were perfect. Hostesses were kind and helpful, and we weren’t rushed. You cannot visit London without an afternoon tea… a nice quiet break from the busy streets.

Expensive afternoon tea must be done at least once on a first visit to London! The drink was amazing as well as great coffee! Decor was wonderful as well as service. Food was good but seemed either thawed or at least refrigerated for quite a bit. Worth the experience. (£45 = $55 at the time)
