Fabulous Vegan brunch! I enjoyed a beautiful brunch at WAVE, it's so nice to be able to choose anything from the menu instead of only having one or two options. We definitely over ordered with big brunches, and pastries and juices. But it was all so good, it was hard not to!
Wave is one of the new, gentrified restaurants/cafes that has entered the Hackney scene. It's a cafe I've been meaning to visit for a while. Having grown up in Hackney, it's exciting to see new places emerge for dining, and here are my thoughts.
The food and options are incredible. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into everything from the croissants to their breakfast bowls and pancakes. While often vegan food means sacrificing taste, this was certainly not the case at Wave.
The atmosphere was a bit odd because the cafe was full of people working. As you find a seat, you can see a 'wave' of excel sheets on everyone's screens. This didn't bother us much, as we sat outside, which was quite pleasant.
My only issue was that the prices seemed overpriced. I understand that the food quality is better, but it may not be affordable for everyone, especially for many people in Hackney. I would recommend this place if you're vegan and looking for a high-end dining option.
Really nice atmosphere and coffee! Good food options! The kitchen has Definitely improved over time! But a bit on the expensive spectrum for the portion! Full of flavour though! Worth a try
Amazing vegan brunch — one of the best in London — I’ll be back. The tofu scramble was flavorful and filling, and getting it on the pancakes instead of the muffin added a slightly sweet balance. The apple crumble pancakes tasted exactly like an apple crumble and were delicious. The Mac and cheese was great, but could’ve used a bit more sauce. The croissants were huge! The coffees were also lovely.

🥐If you love fresh baked pastries, you've gotta try WAVE!
In a quiet alley in the heart of Hackney you can find We Are Vegan Everything, or WAVE, a laid-back vegan café serving breakfast and lunch.
What we've tried:
🍪 Peanut butter and jam cookie: what a cookie should be! Perfectly gooey, with a soft jam heart. The taste of PB comes through perfectly without the cookie being too sweet.
🍰 Baked cheesecake lemon and raspberry: the true star of our breakfast⭐ this baked cheesecake has a creamy texture, and the lemon comes through perfectly without overriding the other flavours.
🥐 Almond croissant: nice and flaky, this croissant is filled with almond cream and even has some amaretto on top. We found it a slight bit dry, would have loved a bit more cream🍦
🍫 Pain au chocolat: again really nice and flaky and quite big too, but would have loved some more chocolate.
☕ Vanilla latte: coffee tasted great, the vanilla flavour was a little too strong for our taste, but overall it was a balanced drink we'd order again!
🍵 Chai latte: very flavourful and not too sweet, the mix tasted homemade.
🔊👫 Cinni tip: come here on a warm and sunny day to enjoy your breakfast in the outdoor terrace🌞

Super cosy and very fresh fully vegan place. I had the brekkie bowl and a dirty chai. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing, please come here if you have a chance, you will not regret it! Everything on my plate was 10/10.
Wonderful place - wish everywhere I go had such a location. Great food and atmosphere
Atmosphere was very calm, I can imagine it being perfect in summer. Would defo get the salted coffee again! The pancakes were more regular, though the rose petals were a nice touch 🌹

Informal, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent and healthy food, you eat with taste without feeling weighed down.
I walked about a kilometre to the Manse Road location to visit this place since it was the closest vegan cafe to me. I stopped in for a cup of tea and a mushroom roll (it was the only thing that was gluten-free AND vegan on the menu). It was very tasty. It was also nice to have a pastry.
I liked the few sprouts on the top of the roll.
The server was very friendly and we had a good conversation.
I liked the sign on the window - We Are Vegan Everything.
The washroom was one of the smallest I had ever used. Reminded me of the toilets on the airplane - but smaller. All functional though.
Several days later, I stumbled upon the much larger location and promise myself that I would return since it seemed like a great space.

Cute place, love the vibe. The beetroot latte was so good! Also had the Mac and cheese which was way bigger than I was expecting! Yummy though.
Delicious vegan brunch in this pretty cafe! We went there on Saturday, it was quite busy, but worth it to stay and try the vegan food! Good filling amount, perfectly nutritional and tasteful, and the salted caramel coffee is Top too! Just the prices are higher, so I would not go every week or two. Otherwise, highly recommended to try them out! :)
My favourite vegan spot in London! The food is so delicious (the pancakes are unbelievably good) and the staff are lovely and helpful. Lots of gluten free options too. Such a nice cafe to sit and chill in and enjoy yummy vegan food 🫶
Lovely place, good vibe and oh my, the decor! I felt like I was in Bali - a place I have always dreamt of visiting! The food was delicious, the scrambled tofu was a masterpiece. The only reason I decided to give the place 4/5 stars is the self-service thing- for a cafe of this size it shouldn’t be an issue to have the order brought to the table. Also, it says on IG that I could message to book a table but by the time I got a reply, I was already there. Luckily I got the seats.
Amazing vegan AND gluten free pancakes. Next time I’ll try the scrambled tofu
In love! The indoor/outdoor space is perfect on a sunny day. I had the brekkie bowl which was very yummy.
Nice vegan brunch place. I got the avo on toast (£9) and mushroom roll (£4). One of the poshest avo on toast i’ve ever had, topped with sprouts and pesto on english muffin buns.
