Came here for a quick lunch. The starters were on point and had a real kick of spice and an explosion of flavours. For this reason, I was looking forward to my masala dosa, however it did not deliver the same oomph I was hoping for. Saying that, I will be back to try other items.
Update: I came here again in August 2023, tried the curry and chilli naan, I got to say they were the best tasting I've had... and very spicy! So spicy I opted for the 'chocolate tart' for desserts. Unfortunately, this was disappointing and didn't resemble a tart. It's more of a mousse of some sort.
Manjal is located at the end of Langston Road with plenty of on-site parking. The food is good quality and much more on the regional side of the cuisine than what most Indian restaurants serve. Portions are a fair size and reasonable value. The restaurant itself does lack atmosphere with it feeling a bit like a tired club house or village hall, but the service is friendly and this makes up for it. There's also plenty of space for dining making it a good venue for a large party.
Pleasantly surprised to find this little Gem in Loughton. Lovely freshly prepared and flavorful South India food. Friendly service.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a surprise birthday party for my mum's 50th Birthday , and it was a remarkable experience! The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. The catering provided by Manjals Loughton was fantastic, with delicious food and impeccable service. Highly recommended for any special event!

Update: visited here last weekend for a bridal shower. Accommodated 30 ish people wonderfully. Good service.
Make sure to double check with them that they have processed foods for allergies properly.

The taste of the food is amazing, both meat and non meat dishes. Service was quick and friendly and to top it off free parking.

Wow, Amazing experience, really delicious food especially the mutton curry on the bones, chicken Chettinad, chilly paneer, and very quick service, I appreciate the service of waitress Aparna, she was really good very polite, and friendly behavior with us. Overall my rating is 10/10.

A lovely restaurant in a far out, secluded industrial area. Only accessible by car.
The food was delicious, fresh, tasty and piping hot.

Manjals did a great job with our birthday party which hosted around 125 people on a Saturday night. The Buffet service was well organised and the Food (Sri Lankan/South Indian variety) was superb. The management team and staff were very organised on the night led by Angelo. Angelo helped us with the planning in the lead up to the event and was very responsive / flexible with our requirements. They added more value by recommending great decorators and entertainment providers. The outdoor space at Manjal was also very popular with our guests on a warm summer evening and we were able to utilise that space for entertainment too. All our guests had a great time and specifically commented on how good the food was! Thank you Manjal and Angelo.
Been visiting Manjal for about a couple of years now and must say, this food is never disappointing, its packed with huge amounts of flavour, real south indian taste. Service very good, coupled with friendly staff, so will keep going as long as they keep delivering this kind cuisine.
I hired the party hall at Manual restaurant for my daughter's birthday party and I am so glad that I chose this place over all the other options available.
The restaurant manager (Mr. Mano) was excellent throughout and ensured that the place was laid out per our request and food cooked to the mild/moderate level of spice.
Would certainly visit again for dining as well as future events.

Clean & sparkling, spacious inside & plenty car parking.
(Not that I need it now, I'm liberated from metal polluting expensive box of a car.
But I do have a bus pass!)
I had been on a walk past the Bank of England, towards Theydon Bois.
Beehives & rabbits & deer, I expect, needed wellys, as muddy in fields...
Lovely small meal, which they treated me to! very authentic & fresh.
I did buy a red vin & dessert.

They have arranged tables before we come and every item servered is fresh, hot and testaty. It is not possible to appricate whole group, but all our group of 23 members enjoyed the food and hospitality. We strongly recomand to our friends.
I have just done delivery for this guys . I had to go in kitchen . To be honest I visit 100’s kitchen ever year . This place was clean and they were preparing some food smile very nice and they offer some for me . I said okay . They put in curriying bag . I just come home and eat those two vegetables meals and rice . Oo my god what a testy meal . I hight recommend this place .
