I am lucky that I live within a few minutes walk of this place. Personally, some of the best coffee I've ever had. Highly recommend their skinny cappuccinos

The cutest little cafe on Kingsland Road. Local to me, so a stones throw away to grab a coffee. They have a lovely little terrace too and some wifi if you want to set up your office and work for a bit .The terrace is big and whilst it looks on to the main road, the high hedges gives you a little bit of privacy and quiet. Not full of hipsters but chilled locals when i went there. They have also been known to do little independent exhibits of independent artists.

Curio Cabal is a brilliant little spot in Haggerston, just over the bridge that crosses the canal. Occupying the corner of a row of buildings, the inside is small but not cramped, with lots of natural light, giving it an intimacy that lends itself nicely to little coffee dates or catch-up brunches. Being Haggerston, the interior of course has the necessary slightly unfinished aesthetic, and each table is adorned with highly instagrammable succulents in a variety of quirky, miss-matching pots.

I'm giving Curio Cabal quite a solid rating here which I think is highly justified by the amazing food offered by TA TA here. As I understand it started out as a sort of pop-up residency within this coffeeshop but has now gone permanent (Wednesday to Saturday evenings) for which I'm ever greatful. I believe there are also plans to serve lunch too. "Ta Ta" meaning he and she in Mandarin is run by Zijun Meng and Ana Gonçalves who both worked with Nuno Mendes at Viajante and Chiltern Firehouse. They serve up an amazing family feel fusion of Chinese and Portuguese food. Miso shall return here!!

It’s a nice place to have breakfast! The food was awesome: fresh bread from the bakery next door, perfect scrambled eggs and most important roasted bacon. I used the Rest room which was dirty and there was no soap, that’s one reason why I cannot give 5 stars.. Second it was pretty cold inside!

Came in for brunch with my best friend for a long overdue catch up. Pleasantly surprised. The veggie brunch was one of the best I've had, the soy latte was amazing and the staff accommodating, welcoming and friendly. Nice atmosphere, if anything a little pricey (£9 for the veggie breakfast), but we came on an offer, and worth it for a treat! Would come again.

I just love the corner store location near the canal & covered outdoor seating. I've spent a few wfh days here and not been bothered. The coffee is a bit pricey considering the lattes are TINY but the food is good & simple enough. Again, the look & light keeps you awake and fresh when you have some work to get through. So I recommend!

Came here for brunch and it was delicious! Not your average fry-up. The beans were definitely one of my favourite parts! I also had a green smoothie which was delicious. The food was all well prepared and felt like clean eating.

For sure, they can make you one of the best oat milk lattes you have ever had 🔆 my favourite local coffee place. They also do amazing food and have some decent vegan options too. The atmosphere is great. Guys working here are always in a good mood and friendly. I don’t ever need to tell them what I want, they always remember and that makes it special. Also, shazamed like a hundred songs in this place, their music is 👌🏾 it’s a perfect spot for a date with your friend or your computer. Love it love it love it! Keep it going. ♥️

This used to be my favourite place for breakfast, and I'm so glad they have brought the brunch menu back on the weekends! The staff are all super accommodating and friendly, and the veggie breakfast is the perfect hangover cure. Great vibe, great outdoor garden area, great coffee.

My favourite café in the area. Super-friendly staff, amazing Red Brick coffee, good music, and great food (try the Mexican eggs!). The place has a deserved loyal following and a community feel. It’s rare to find such a friendly place anywhere.

Honest to god, the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The mushrooms were roasted in maybe garlic? The sausage? Not just any old sausage- a chorizo sausage. The bread perfectly toasted and drizzled in olive oil. The eggs fried to perfection. Crispy bacon. Home made beans. Wow. Also great staff and lovely location. Would go here everyday if I could!
