Stopped in for a tasty pint and a rest and had a great conversation with the pretty girl at the bar, whom I forgot to ask her name. Hope to stop back when I'm in London again. Cheers!

I was visiting a friend in the vicinity when he suggested we go out to the local pub for a couple of pints. This place was with a couple of minutes walk from there, and we dropped in here around 6PM on a weekday.

My friend stepped up to the bar and we were served by a pleasant mannered barmaid who served my friend a glass of white wine, and suitably armed me with a pint of Murphy's stout.

We stepped out and a gentleman who was sitting all alone at a table offered to share with us and said he was finishing his drink, and would be leaving shortly.

We were seated comfortably outside, on a chilly London evening, and spent the next 3-4 hours there with beer and wine to keep us warm, and lost count of the drinks we consumed. I do recall finding Murphy's a little heavy, and switched over to Mad Goose pale ale at some point, and then carried on with that for the rest of the evening.

It was a pleasant evening spent in a friendly pub, filled with laughter, raunchy jokes, rambling irrelevant discussions, and all the other thing intoxicated men do in pubs.

We were pretty plastered at the end, and made our way out of there in search of dinner!

Great pub for a nice casual dining experience. The pies are quite good, not amazing, but tasty and a good portion. I had the Moo and my wife had the Chicken and Mushroom (called Pieminister). Potatoes, peas, and gravy were perfect. The food overall was delicious and the presentation was great. How I would serve guests at home if we made a similar dish. I would certainly recommend a visit for a quick unfussy meal and a pint. Which they have a good selection of. Will surely visit again next time we are in town.

Pies were delicious! We had the free ranger as the mothership option and thought it was very reasonably priced too. Thank you.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. Harry the landlord is a charming host, which is hard to find in London sometimes. Even though it's in a prime central location it feels like a local pub. Excellent service and feels like a home from home. Great seating inside and on the street with a lovely bar area too.

Nice little corner pub, clean with outdoor seating to watch the world go by. Prices are good and the service was good. There is a tube station a block away which is also nice. Overall a good experience

Received an email offering free drinks for my birthday. Mike and the other lovely staff overcame horrendous technical struggles with a recalcitrant till and got me my free drink and a fabulous Moo Pie. Best birthday ever! Thanks guys and gals. 😘😘😘

Very nice pie and mash here. Friendly staff. Slight issue with the beers with quite a few off unfortunately but that's a temporary thing. Happy.

Doombar on tap, and not bad. Friendly staff. To be honest, I've had better pie & mash. Not a bad place to stop while waiting for a train.

What a lovely atmosphere. The music was just loud enough to be background noise but not too loud to distract from conversation. The team working were all incredible extremely polite charming and genuine.

As a person that does not have pies very often, I have been greatly impressed by the pies that they do, having the pie with all the sides has been exceptional. Highly recommend it. Minty mushy peas was a delight even if the name does not suggest it. 🥰🥧🥧
