I love this place ... we come with our dog when visiting the area. Always good food, drink and friendly service (for Tess the dog as well). The atmosphere is great -Thank you all for for making The Crown such a welcoming place.
A return to Hackney,used to drink here about 32 years ago and hit 50 today so yesterday had a great time great catch up good beer and food and staff be great to get back with more people next time..spent many a day fishing the Hertford and park or in the lido so coming back to Crown was a great choice thanks guys and girls

Fish batter was fluffy and crisp but bare oily, chips were perfect though.

I was out on this beautiful Sunday and hot day walking with friends on the Regent canal up to the Victoria Park. We searched a nearby Pub by to have lunch in an outdoor area. The Crown pub was the closest,by the Park gates. We had a table outside the main entrance with the view to the park. We ordered our drinks and food. The female staff who served our table was lovely and very polite and with a smile in the face.
Food was delicious to all of us, We had a desert also and really enjoyed the entired experience at The Crown. Friendly staff serving our table and all the bar staff pouring our drinks. The pub has a lovely decoration,very clean and toilets well kept. I would highly recommend this to you all.

A decent pub with nice food offerings! My vegetarian burger was pretty tasty (it was a soy based patty- kind of like an impossible). Chips were good. They somehow didn’t have mustard?

This is one of the Young’s Pubs. Food was nice and the service was pretty quick. There a great selection of beers on tapes. Main course are around £20 and a pint is nearly £7. So it’s not
Cheap. It’s next to the Victoria park. There are a few outdoor tables. The toilets are clean. On Street free parking at the weekend. If you have big group of ppl, it’s best to book the table before you go.
This pub is absolutely lovely. I had my engagement party here July 2023, and they were amazing. They were so easy to contact, very responsive and made their planning a breeze. The food was great, all the the people working on the night were so friendly, the drinks were fab and the we could blast the music and dance. In terms of the upstairs space the terraces were gorgeous, honestly could not recommend enough. Special shout out to Victoria, Jack, David, Gavin, Tony, and Brandon. They couldn’t have made the night better- I would do another event here in a heartbeat.
Great pub for drinks and pub food! The wine was tasty. There is limited outdoor tables. They had fun board games too.
We had our small wedding party of 18 people here on Saturday. It was perfect. The pub is nicely decorated and we had a private room and private balcony. It was also very quiet on a sunny Saturday afternoon so we were able to spill over into another room to entertain the kids. I cannot praise the service highly enough - they were very present making sure everyone had the food and drinks they needed and were very friendly. They also catered to a wide range of dietary requirements even providing dishes and cocktails that weren’t on the menu. Many thanks to the staff at the Crown.

Visited before going to All Points East Festival on bank holiday Sunday. All the team were lovely- greeted and promptly shown upstairs to our table, the gent who served us was very attentive, roast was great- my husband said they were the best carrots he had ever tasted!
Even though it was busy with the festival nearby the place was clean and the service was really quick and all on point! Will be back again for sure.
My wife and I hosted a wedding reception here mid July.
We had a diner for 15 heads then around 20 others friends joined us once we finished our family diner.
All the guests liked the venue and had a great time.
The function rooms are very elegant and have a real cachet.
Aline and Chris gave their absolute best to welcome us and provide the very best service.

Been here a few times and made it out to the balcony area which was lovely. The staff are so friendly and helpful also. We had a couple of starters to share which were amazing (scotch egg and cod cheeks yummy) The Sunday roast looked good especially the Belly pork so I will be back to try that soon. Child friendly, dog friendly
Newly refurbished so it's a nice place to be. We had the scotch egg to start and that was spot on but the winner is the fish and chips. Very fresh, good portion and tasty. Without a doubt the best fish and chips I've eaten in a public house. Well done to the team. A little pricy but I left very full and happy I guess cheaper isn't always the best.
Visited yesterday with family and dogs. Great experience. We sat outside and the staff provided a drinking bowl for our dogs. We didn’t eat but the food looked excellent and value. A nice touch was the barman who I think was on his smoke break took the time to come over to us and ask us if everything was ok and that if it wasn’t too hot for the dogs.
Excellent service for a busy Wednesday evening. 2 staff for the entire venue and we barely waited. Such friendly and attentive service too!

If you're doing the Regents Canal Pub Crawl this isn't a bad place to stop for a more traditional pub and grub experience than the other more industrial craft beer outlets between Angel and Hackney Wick. Young's beer is never my favourite but nice service and atmosphere made up for it.
Staff are always so warm, welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently very good. A great option for a local pub before or after a stroll through the park!!
