Genuinely, my favourite restaurant here in London.
Excellent service, the owner / manager took time and personally took our order and asked for our feedback despite being very very busy.
And a very poor bloke came in , during peak time and the manager didn't simply kick him out. Told his staff to give him some money from the till to help him out. Love the generosity and humble nature.
Back to the food, simply delicious. I cannot get enough of his wings. Steaks and ribs are to die for and the salad and mojito lovely too.
Always bring my family and friends whenever I get a chance.
Maybe , open a bit later as I felt slightly rushed though before closing time.
Also, maybe do a doner kebab? That'll be perfect.

This small restaurant located in brick lane has some delicious dishes to offer. As soon as you enter you get a good smell of tasty food. The staff is really helpful and guide you well in making your choices.
Recommendation - T-bone steak and rump steak! A really unique African style of steakhouse.

Ordered Lamb chops, peri chips and Chicken zulu burger. Food was very tasty. Especially the marinade used for the chops. Reasonable pricing. Highly recommended. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Good service.
Steak was a little chewy but massive. Chicken skewers good as usual. The lunch meals are good value. Olives provided free as an apetiser. Was nice when they used to give mini sweet treats like a penguin bar or mini cupcake with the bill.
Really enjoy this place. Love the 'African' theme that is in the restaurant, the staff are friendly. Enjoy their food, always get pretty much the same, steak, chips and salad. If you go at about 5/6pm its nice and quite and can eat in peace. I've been here many times and would continue going.
I feel like I'm bound to be a little biased with this review as I am South African and the food here brought back a lot of good memories.
The food here is unpretentious and relatively simple. Its tasty meaty dishes in large portions. The marinades used are amazing. The prices are low for the quality you receive. The decor and service is slightly lacking. But I think with a restaurant in this price bracket/quality level its acceptable.
The ribs were amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. The boerewors wasn't quite boerewors but was good nonetheless. The chops were okay - a little bit overcooked.
A decent meal if you not looking on spending to much and want to try something new and very meaty.
I visited this place expecting authentic Saffa food, but it was not. Rather it seemed to be a franchise kind of a place. The food was great and quite satisfying. The roast potatoes were a bit of a disappointment, as they seemed to be more like potato skins rather than baked whole potatoes. The food is priced reasonably. The "jungle" music is a bit of a put-off.
I really enjoyed my meal here. We ordered the jungle platter, accompanying another small platter, and liked both. The chicken was perfectly baked and it was very soft and flavoursome. The steak was also nice and tasty, and I really recommend trying the t-bone steak. The service was immaculate, quick and efficient. They gave us our space, yet paid attention to us. The only downside was that the hot wings and chicken had exactly the same seasoning, which was off-putting. The dessert was average, and they had run out of haagen-dazs. It was a not a nice finish to pretty nice meal.
I came here as a small group on a friend's suggestion. The place was fairly empty when we visited during lunch hours on a Friday. It is a modern diner and the decor is welcoming. We weren't sure whether we were to take a seat or were to be directed towards a table. Instead of music, they had a jungle background sound which was quite amusing.
Coming to the food, there was a lot of halal meat on the menu and the food we ordered had generous portions and looked quite appetizing. My friends really liked the meat but I went for the prawn salad which was delicious and served warm with barbecue sauce and mayo.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to try out the desserts as that isn't their strong point. However, do pay a visit for the rest of the food which is quite delicious.
This place is definitely worth your time and money , if you live in the locality.I happened to check out the place in a pang of hunger and was satisfied pretty decently.
I ordered a take away and so can not comment on the interior decor or setting but in my opinion the African cuisine was rightfully respected as my barbecued chicken was just perfect .It was absolutely heavenly!
To begin with, the service is delighting. The staff is attentive and amicable We went on a very busy night and still were served perfectly and without any hassles. On another upside, besides being delicious the food is always well cooked and comes with huge portion size. Ordered beef, well smothered in delicious and mouthwatering sauce and filling chips on side! Had a great time!
I love this place for the overall experience it has to offer. Being a regular customer, I have been here with both family and friends and have had an enjoyable experience every time. I have been a great influence on having them also fall in love with the place as much as I love it. I highly recommend having the lamb chops. Do try them!
One of the highlights of this place for me is Halal Food. The place offers delicious, well cooked and food which is consistent in quality. The portion sizes are huge as well, satiating one immensely. Coming to the service, very welcoming, attentive and prompt staff. The order was served quickly. My regular is steak which is always delicious!
Was really hungry when we found this place and were confronted with some wonderful and tasty food. The chilli chips and ribs were exceptional. The service was good too, we were quickly shown to our seats. The only bad thing were the bathrooms, something needs to be done about them. The food however, was good value for money, a thumbs up.
I am a big foodie. This place offers good quality food each time I have come here. This place is my favourite grill chains and I would definitely vouch for its credibility. The lamb chops boast of the perfect skills the chefs possess and are served with a beautiful sauce to go alongside. Everyone from the service team wears a smile when the offer services.
I'm not too sure why this place has not got better reviews and ratings. I was quite sceptical as the walthamstow branch is quite poor.
The decor is actually quite tasteful and goes well with the African theme, it's clean, warm, welcoming and vibrant. My friend who has been to this branch several times has raved about it and I can see why.
The menu is very simple but yet caters for all. The starters, in particular the chops and the king prawns were absolutely beautiful, wished there was more. The platter containing the chops, prawns and chicken with 2 sides is brilliant value for money and very tasty. Their sauces on the food were very different from other places and very yummy.
I would definitely recommend this place for people to try but avoid the walthamstow branch as it is quite dingy and not very clean
A good first experience. We ordered the Tarzan platter and Mango mocktail. Each meat had a distinct, delicious sauce. The shrimp were slightly burned, and the beefsteak should have been medium well instead of well done. The chicken and lamb chops were delicious! Peri fries: good, onion rings: okay, coleslaw: not so good. Service: quick, attentive, friendly; when we complimented the mini cupcakes they gave us some more free! And those mini cupcakes are delicious! Make them a menu item! All this food (plus some wings) equalled 43 quid, a decent deal I think, especially when coupled with the 10% discount card we were given (1 each). Would recommend and go again!
