First time here with a big crowd of work colleagues. One waiter looked like it was his first time too, but the rest were very attentive & kept the drinks flowing. Set meal was a good choice when so many were there & it didn't disappoint. Only trouble is after crackers, Hors d'oeuvres, soup & crispy duck you're pretty full by the time the main courses come out! All very nice though & plenty of it, would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

I love this place. I visit every time I'm in London, the staff are friendly and provide great service, the food is excellent every time and the place has a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in and cross the bridge with the koi fish, I love the decor. Great job 👍🏾

Food is good, not the best ever, but it's good. The point is we had a huge amount of fun in the private room with karaoke, that's what matters in life. If you can't sing Elton John really loudly while stuffing your face with prawn crackers then it's not worth it, luckily you can here

Visited with my wife and 5 year old. Loved the atmosphere, and my boy enjoyed walking over the stream with fish to get in. Food was really good, and atmosphere was great with lanterns and other decorations too. Would def recommend, and will go back! Good for families with children too.

Great food, great for large groups, traditional Chinese serving sets, we went with a cohort going to study in Shanghai and it was an amazing experience to let us know what life in china would be like. Recommended even for vegetarians.

Best dim sum place in Chinatown. Very good for Tapas. You get a chance to explore different items on the menu because of the affordable price. The quantity served is good and the place is cozy to enjoy the meal.

It was a great surprise in every single sense. Real Chinese food, excellent service and everything taste good. Also a good balance between Oriental decoration and western comfort and style.

My Chinese clients took me here for a Christmas treat. They ordered for us which was really exciting as it meant trying loads of new things, like jelly fish! Which was delicious. Would recommend this as a really nice Chinese in china town.

There was no particular reason to be here except that I was in Soho and this place looked nice on the inside with happy Chinese diners that told me that if it's good for them then it's good for me.
In a time when most Chinese eateries have switched to black as color of choice for interiors; the traditional Red over here was very welcome.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Ordering soup; we asked if it was OK to share. The lady smiled and said she will bring the soup to the table and each one could take as much. Great. No dirty looks. The hot and sour was really very good.

For the mains ordered Sechwan fried scallops and Kungpau Chicken with Veg crispy noodles and some rice. The scallops looked quite harmless in spice quotient and I wondered if it would be any good. I was wrong - it delivered a punch. What I liked most that the fish and meat had plenty of veg goodies around them. Tmhe noodles were passable but the other items hit the mark.
Where did they loose out then? Dessert - we asked for toffee bananas and got apples. By the time we discovered it - the dessert was done with. 😊

The menu is not as extensive as many other Chinese restaurants but what we had was good. Will give it another go next time.

Probably the best restaurant in China town.  Sure it is a bit more expensive but you get a more pleasant atmosphere.  Plus the food is oh so good.  If you are too lazy to head to Bayswater for what I think the best Chinese food in London, Imperial China in China town is a safe bet.

Decent food but service was not great. From the door, it seemed pretty small but once we got in, it was quite spacious and tastefully (in relative terms) decorated. My friend and I ordered 2 tea and 6 dishes and the bill came to be around 21 GBP, which is not too bad for London standard.

Food was pretty good but small portions (compared to Vancouver though) and terrible service.

Next time I come back to London and want dimsum, I would definitely try them again.

My favourite place for DimSum and a very good choice for a Chinese dinner in the area
Obviously duck for dinner - go in a party of 6+ to qualify for more on the set menus.
For dim dum Sheng books us the private room upstairs and it is a real scramble for some excellent food.

It's not the cheapest option, they do pretty reasonable dim sum too (not to my mind anywhere as good as Yauacha, or as cheap and joyful as New World or Dragon Castle), and their meats have always done the job (albeit without filling my soul with any real joy). It's a big old place, a little prettier than some of its near neighbours and acc

I love this place - just walking over the fake bridge into the restaurant makes me happy as I know I am about to have a top notch, super tasty dumpling feast

By far my favourite place for Lunch!  I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed.  From the a la carte menu I would recommend the duck pancakes and the cashew chicken, but the real highlight is the dum sum.  You pick-and-choose a selection of dumplings, which are served in cute little bamboo baskets and all of them are amazing.  Only wish these were not restricted to lunchtime only!

Don't let the narrow, easy-to-miss entrance fool you. The inside is a huge, two-level restaurant with a real feel of Chinese dining, not just because of a decor full of red lanterns, golden dragons, and a little stream on the ground floor that reminds of a Chinese garden. The most important element of a Chinese restaurant is there too: big, round tables with a turning wheel in the middle. Perfect for Asian-style sharing-food dining.

We went over there for dim sum. Everyone marked what they wanted from the dim sum menu, and the food started arriving, served with jasmine tea.

The food was good. A wide variety of different kinds of dim sum, served with sauces when appropriate, and in traditional baskets, when steamed. It wasn't always hot, though. The tea - I can tell it was jasmine, because it looked like it. As for the taste, it was either too weak or not good quality, because it had almost no taste at all, just the colour. A bit shame, because good jasmine tea is something to enjoy and savour.

The dim sum consisted of many traditional elements, like chah siu bau or different kinds of dumplings. They even served egg tarts. They also had a few vegetarian options, so a veggie can enjoy the food too (I did :)).

Over all, it was a nice lunch, and - what's more important - it was real Chinese food, not a European imitation.

I often take friends here because the excellent standard of the food never waivers and you can get dim sum as well as a regular menu.

Partly for this reason it is often the host of Westminster's official Chinese New Year celebrations also. It is very spacious and has an immaculate, modern decor and a bevvy of well-drilled waiters and waitresses. You certainly will never be left wondering what happened to your food and drinks.

To get to it you enter the restaurant through glass doors on Lisle Street and pass through an area known as White Bear Yard, over a little wooden bridge underneath which is a pond filled with carp. Here the sounds of Chinatown are immediately blocked out and replaced with the bustle of an ever busy restaurant. It takes up a couple of floors and there is a mezzanine area that looks down onto the ground floor restaurant.

Imperial China does all the normal dishes you would find at any Chinese restaurant - they just do them exceptionally well. The wine menu has also been well researched.

Prices are reasonable and it's a great place to pop into during the day for a quick dim sum. It's also very good for large groups as they have plenty of room and lots of staff to serve you.

Highly recommended.

Good old Dim Sum place in China town, very good air con, saved me on the hottest day in London this year. Authentic dishes! Not the top notch but decent. Tea was good too. Very friendly service. They don’t rush you to pay or leave. Nice and quiet environment inside the busy China town.

Have been coming here for years since a friend recommended this place. Love the authentic Cantonese dim sum selection in the afternoon available until 5pm daily. The price is very reasonable. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with Chinese deco. Service is prompt and attentive. Love this hidden gem! 👍🏼

Food tastes pretty good and authentic. The chicken was in my opinion a little overdone. Otherwise the rest were great. We were here around dinner time, location was busy but spaced out well. In the heart of Chinatown, worth a visit if looking for Chinese food.

Wonderful dim sum place if you like this kind of food. Beautiful hidden gem with fishpond. Ultimate authentic experience . Very clean! Our tea was constantly filled up. Our service was wonderful and didn’t experience rudeness like other reviewers.

Good address for dim sum, one of our favourites in Leicester Square. I love the fried taro balls, the fried bean curd skin stuffed with prawns and the cheongfun with dough fritter and cuttlefish paste. The cooked dishes were quite nice too.

Hidden Gem in China town. Lobster and Steam sea bass are best quality and so fresh. Sirloin steak Chinese style is mouth watering. YuTze tofu in hot pot is amazing signature dish here. Chicken and liver in hot pot is unbeatable. I can't stand the queue and crazy crowd in other places, this is an oasis for me. China town at it's best.

We went there after a museum visit with the kids. Not a trendy restaurant. But Dim Sum are nice. Normal London price. Both of my kids liked it very much and they wanted to go again!
