Totally unpretentious. Cool. Slightly grungy. Friendly. Locals in for their Sunday roasts. That does it for me.

Great food and good service. Their real ales, of which there are a few, are also very good.

The Tiger in Camberwell is one of my favourite pubs in London. An oasis of warmth, good beers and friendly people. I have been many times but mostly just use it as a watering hole before heading out. Last night however we decided to go along for some dinner...

A recent trip saw faultless pub classics of fish and chips and burgers well executed with great ingredients, as well as a well spiced and flavoured pig cheek ragu over homemade pasta.

I love The Tiger! I used to work there so I am slightly biased, but it has fast become the pulse of Camberwell. It's shabby chic and a great pub, great atmosphere. The food is great too.

Great pub. Interior decor is nice, a bit trendy but keeping it real at the same time . The range of beers was OK and staff were nice too when I went on a Friday evening. Clientèle is mixture of locals and students. The food option was a local burger place who deliver to your table. Didn't try but choice looks OK to me. Will return.

They say they have the best vegan food available in Camberwell and I think they might be right. I had most of the vegan dishes there already and I keep coming back for more. The service is quick and friendly and the pub has a very nice atmosphere.

This was my second meal at the Tiger pub and once again I really enjoyed it. This time I tried the classic vegan burger, which was pretty good but I would revert to the buffalo 'chicken' one next time as that was fantastic. The fries it is served with are great and had I know it came with them I wouldn't have ordered a separate serving as this was plenty. The buffalo wings are delicious and spicy. Halloumi bites are nothing special except for the amazing sauce they are served with - probably one to skip unless you're getting some kind of deal e.g. 3 for £10 on starters. All in all, the vegan food offering at the Tiger makes it well worth a visit, even though it otherwise feels like a pretty standard pub.

Spent a few days visiting a relative in Kings and popped to the pub several times. Staff and the customers we spoke with were brilliant. In particular, Harry was outstanding; very chatty, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. A thoroughly lovely young man 😊

Lots of options for vegans and for those who aren't. Nice cosy pub setting witb plenty of space. Will be back for sure. The pic is the vegan chicken burger. It was good, a little spongy but a good vegan option.

Friendly ambience that changes in demographics from day to night to past midnight. Can be your vintage pub or hipster pub depends on what day or time you come. They serve good burgers, too, which is a plus. Live music on the weekends if you have none to do around Camberwell. There is clean and adequate outdoor seating. Service is a mix of young and friendly.

It wasn't that good until a young, double-jointed gentleman took to the floor and began grooving like I'd never seen before. Within 5 minutes the place was electric, and, though the DJ didn't take requests, all that could be heard were screams for 'more, more, more!'

Went here for new years with the boys and what a night we had. I have no idea what was going on but I know it happened. We even got a picture with some balloons that said 2019. I was unfortunate enough to not see the actual Tiger that owns the place. But all the best

The Tiger often unjustly features in lists of most average pubs in London. That. Is. A. Disgrace. It's a very good pub! Excellent food (especially if you're veggie), friendly, competent bar staff, buzzy atmos, always possible to get a seat. What mode do you want?

Ellie is the best barmaid in London, she's always super friendly, happy, cheerful, up for a chat and pours the best pint in South East London if not the whole of London! Will always come back to the tiger just for her to pour my pint and to see her beaming while pouring it! 10/10 recommend this pub for Ellie alone!

Spacious old pub, with a number of quiet corners useful for those who want a more intimate visit with friends. Draught bitter was good and the bar staff friendly and efficient. For those who like puzzles, there is a sequence of capital letters on the bar for which one could not obtain a meaning of them.

A large-ish, warm, friendly, vintage-chic oasis in the centre of bustling Camberwell for all ages - art students, dates, dads & babies, men & newspaper - with great music, beer and service. 'Little Pudding' the dog also very sweet.

Wonderful pub. Barmaid was fantastic - especially when we were discussing the anagram under the bar (RAAGNGNOGT). She tells me that it doesn't stand for anything but I'll let you all have a try to make something of it. Nice open space pub with loads of character. Guinness not great but OK and the Butcombe Original was lovely.

Honestly the nicest staff on shift. Ellie was so attentive and they made sure that our glasses were topped up at every moment. The atmosphere was second to none. The whole crew really made the whole experience unbelievable. 10/10 nice stuff
