The Cock Tavern - London - Photo album

Seemed a bit surly service to me, but overall we had a good time relaxing. It’s quite stuffy inside, with only fans, so I would def go earlier in the afternoon like we did. Great variety of ciders on tap and a wicked strong cherry mead also available.
Excellent cask and keg options, along with 6 ciders on handpull. Craft offerings but in a proper pub, just like we need. Always nice to find a place where the staff seem to be as happy as the customers to be there.
An excellent pub. I like the nod to what is probably the smallest beer 'garden' in East London.
I can't believe I've never reviewed this pub. I love it. Amazing, rotating selection of beers and ciders. Great bar staff. A cosy, well used, not pretensious in any way, community pub, without the cheap Carling or annoying TV sports. You know it's a good pub when the owner of one of the other great
I am not from London, and I have enjoyed the beers and people. Felt at home.
Wonderful selection of beers here, with plenty of styles to satisfy any beer drinker & a hit of an institution according the friend who recommended I try it
The bartender was really nice and with the right knowledge about the beers
Cosy little pub on Mare Street with one of the best beer and cider selections in the area. Had forgotten all about it until recently. Cask ale is reasonably priced. Pickled egg challenge for the brave. I failed miserably on a previous visit. Hats off to those on the leaderboard. Good tunes on not to
Potentially great place, big, empty at 12, loads a good beers ...BUT doesn't brew it's own any more. Tragedy! No food at lunch but allows you to bring in some Banh Mi baps from round the corner....which was nice!
Excellent selection of beers on tap and I never had to wait long to be served.
