We had heard of Hally’s from a friend and decided to go there for brunch and he was right - Hally’s is absolutely adorable. They have loads of tasty looking pastries at the counter at the entrance and the space is bright and happy, and so is the service, and the food. There are loads of very cute places in Parsons Green for tasty brunch such as Chairs & Coffee and Hally's is definitely always a good choice.
I've dined at Hally’s in Parsons Green numerous times, and I’m so pleased that this California inspired cafe is within walking distance from my home.
It's a popular place to eat as there is rarely a free seat in the house. I'm always happy to wait, and the moment a table becomes free, you're quickly seated.
The menu which changes weekly, is a goodie. I've had everything from Avocado on Sourdough Toast with a side of Smoked Salmon to a Salad with Lentils and Crispy Halloumi. Everything was incredibly delicious. The coffee, from Monmouth, is great, and as we all know, coffee is very important!
There's an open plan feel to the cafe, and they have a couple of tables out on the sidewalk.
Casual, modern, and cool, with great food, it's one to visit for brunch on the weekend.
We ventured down to Hally's on a sunny summer day for brunch to find all the patio doors wide open. Bright and airy, it's a lovely but small interior with white washed walls and little trinkets displayed in built-ins around the rooms. Everything on the menu looked good but we settled for the Eggs Royale, glasses of fresh orange juice and cappuccinos. They were busy, so the staff were pretty hassled and rushed but the food soon made up for it. The hollandaise was light and flavourful, the eggs fresh and the sourdough toast nice and crispy from the toaster. I eyed the table next to mine as they dove into corn fritters with the traditional bacon substituted with salmon (it looked amazing). As far as brunch goes in London, it doesn't get much better than this. It would just be nice if it was a little less rushed, but perhaps that was just the day we visited. I want to go back to try dinner at Hally's when it relaunches!
There's a pretty good little foodie scene around my neck of the woods. Fulham's always got a new up-and-coming cafe, restaurant or bar to boast about it and Hally's is one I've been meaning to visit for quite some time. The allure of its California beach-inspired design totally drew me in, so last weekend when my beautiful friend Soph was staying with me after an amazing trip in Greece, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. Why not chat about her Greek Islands escapades in a seaside cafe setting?
There's something very satisfying about walking past your average chain coffee shop and into the warm ambience of an independent café. Hally's is a cosy, friendly and low-key café in which lunch eating, wine drinking and group-gathering are all totally acceptable and encouraged activities. Start out of the glass windowed front door at the passers by, or tuck yourself up in their cosy backroom. The staff are friendly and accommodating; rather than uniforms, the waiting staff were sporting snazzy festive jumpers, an additional decoration to the gentle fairy lights dotted around the place.Go for one of their scrummy looking cakes (or cookies the size of my head) or add a cheeky shot of Baileys to your mid-afternoon caffeine fix. Saying that, the coffees have no need for adaptation: my cappuccino was rich, velvety and deceivingly strong- delightful! I enjoyed the fact that they have skinny milk options but don't stop there; try a soy latte or almond milk mocha for a coffee with a (less lactose) difference!A charming little find which I'll be visiting again on my next visit to Parson's Green.
Good morning!
I’ve found a great place for you to try. It’s one of those places you don’t really want to share, but I like you, so I’ll let you in on it.
Hally’s is a new California inspired hangout in Parsons Green. There’s a coffee bar for an early morning with the paper, communal tables for an afternoon sprawled out with work and tables in the back for a catch up with friends.
I was drawn in one weekend by the delicious looking pastries displayed home-style on the bar.
Pearl & Groove Cakes have such darling packaging and yummy flavours like coconut, rum & lime, blueberry & white chocolate and earl grey.
We were seated in the back, surrounded by trinkets and objects the owner has collected from local markets.
My brunch date and I were sufficiently starving by now, and thoroughly looked forward to our brunch arriving whilst we chattered away. Lucky for us, the portions are definitely American sized and we struggled* to finish it all.
*Don’t worry, we persevered and successfully cleaned our plates
I’d definitely recommend their weekend brunch or popping in for breakfast during the week. It’s a lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
Food 8/10
A little taste of Californian brunch in London. I got the spicy scramble on sourdough toast, which was actually quite filing and something I’ve never had before in the states. Quite good as well, they should bring it over to America. A good touch of chili combined with fluffy eggs and arugula, feta, jalapeno. Solid choice in the area if you’re ever craving this kind of food. Just don’t get the lattes, they taste quite bland and watery. The cappucinos are a bit better, but coffee in England might just be too sour for my taste.
Atmosphere 8/10
Light and airy feel, open restaurant with a decent amount of tables. Beachy vibes.
Service 8/10
Friendly and smiley!
Love this place! Great brunch spot. The walk in only policy is tough - only go when you’re having a chilled out day and you’re willing to wait. Super cozy inside and outside tables are good when the sun’s out. Wish I could leave a 5 star as the place has a nice vibe and the food is almost always bang on. But I have to be honest, the service leaves a LOT to be desired. Really slow, careless, inattentive. The wait time for tables would be much less if they weren’t so disorganised. The staff look like they’d rather be literally anywhere else than there serving you. For such a great spot, it’s a shame their staff don’t show any love for what they do.
Great food and great service. The only thing i would say is that it is slightly on the expensive side. Although, may be on par with the local area.
Super friendly service, gluten free options and a lovely interior design.
I've visited this cafe multiple times. I highly recommend ordering the coffee – it's wonderful!
I've tried the pancakes and a sandwich. The pancakes were good, but the sandwich didn't seem very fresh and was overpriced.
Attracted by other review, we went today. the place has wibe, and we will retry, the menu has several option. the muffin is very good, the coffee as well. the carrot ginger juice average. the sausage bagel very well presented but tiepid, and indeed this has been the problem, a bit too much to get the order, also looking at other table, arrived later, served before. Now, I am happy to try again and we'll see if it is a habit.
The coffee got me super excited. Usually I’m ok with getting energetic rather than excited. It’s a personal thing, though. The place was lovely and great for winter. The guys and girls were polite.
Delicious (and healthy) food, cosy interior design and decent service make this local café a brilliant choice to go to for weekend brunch or breakfast before work. The furniture really conveys the intentional image of a nice Californian beach house with wooden walls and cute lamps. Thanks Hally's crew!
They have healthy juice items and get their coffee beans from the Monmouth. Ambience was bright and chill. Lunch menu items were average in taste. I would not come back for lunch but would try their breakfast sometime.
Food was amazing. Was fast and the pancakes are the best I’ve ever had. Definitely going again
Food is always delicious, staff always friendly, worth waiting for a table as this place heaves but that’s because the food is so good! Also, the manager Chris is always so attentive and chatty. Love Hally’s and will continue to choose this as my go-to brunch spot.
I have tried every brunch spot in Fulham and this is by far the best… the staff are lovely and the food is delicious.. I dream about their eggs Royal … although I have just discovered they do take out and I fear for my waste line.. Totally worth it though. Love this place!
Oh Hally’s, darling how i have missed you! After moving out of London, we are back to this place every year for breakfast. The breakfast menu is delicious, and made for everyone. Really liked staff and the bakery goods. Coffee is delicious. There is always a bit of a wait on weekends, but if in a rush, just cross the road and go to little sister cafe: Little H.
Very good brunch. All the food and drinks were very good, full of flavour and well prepared. Great coffee. We had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was worth it. Staff were friendly and attentive.
