Lovely Indian and Nepalese restaurant in Crystal Palace. We went for a casual dinner and we are glad we chose this restaurant. The food was good, friendly staff. It was a nice experience.

With the help of the no. 3 bus, we scaled the heights of Crystal Palace, one of the highest points in South London, to reach, appropriately, a Nepalese restaurant – the Yak & Yeti. The Nepalese community in London is a small one, so restaurants serving the cuisine of Nepal are few and far between, although there are two others in the Yak & Yeti group, one in Eltham and the other in Bromley.
Stop cooking and eat here every day! Stumbled across this restaurant whilst staying overnight in Crystal Palace and it was, by far, the best food either me or my friends have ever eaten. Every dish was superb - full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
I discovered the Eltham location when my family was visiting a month ago, because dining there was so good I then invited friends to come with me to dinner there. Before very long it becomes my go-to takeaway place, tonight's takeaway went above and beyond my expectations with free extras and the most delicious food. Thank you again Yak & Yeti!
Cellista. As a resident of Crystal Palace,I have dined here many times with friends .Recently went for a birthday celebration,which was lovely,the service is always attentive and efficient without being OTT; they brought to my table not only a decorated cake but also a free bottle of wine...But then I have been there before!And will again!
The Lamb Momo starter is a must(make sure you are hungry,big portions!)I love the Seafood Mismas,and many of the chicken dishes.
And the Chilean Gewurztraminer on the wine list is superb.
Authentic, friendly local. We've just moved into Crystal Palace and this restaurant has now rescued us three times from the horrors of unpacking and locating the cutlery box.
Ate in the first time, very warm service, had the Hariyali chicken (fragrantly hot), a decent jalfrezi, and a slow cooked Nepalese lamb dish. Have had a couple of takeaways since, which arrive promptly and warm, so can also recommend the Chettinad chicken, the okra, the methi paneer and the methi lamb.
Reliable, tasty, happy-to-serve, and keenly priced, which is what you really want from your local standby.

Amazing staff, and equally amazing food and service! We received a private area for our party and their staff regularly checked in on us. We had a designated waiter with us who was also assisting us throughout the night. Food didn't run out at all. All the guests were giving the Chef compliments.
We were allowed to decorate the place the night before which was really nice of them!
We highly recommend this place for events or even just for a night out to eat.
Had a meal for 15 in here for my 25th birthday on a Tuesday night. Staff were attentive and brought out all of the delicious food at once, despite how complex and varied our order was! Everyone loved it, would definitely come again and would recommend to a big or small booking for anyone. Thanks!

Very Friendly service and nice relaxing atmosphere with delicious food, dessert and drinks. Our table was regularly checked to see if everything was okay and everyone was very attentive even though the place got busy very quickly with many regular guests. We also met the owner who made sure they visited every table and greeted the guest to see if everything was ok… it’s wonderful to see how much they care and appreciate their guests. Definitely worth a Revisit and try the Gurkha 660ml Beer with chicken sadeko.
Our first time visiting Crystal Palace for a gig and we love Nepalese food so popped into a Yak and Yeti. We had a warm welcome, they adjusted all food for my husband’s dairy intolerance, the meal and wine were great. We need to book another gig to have the excuse to come back! Thank you
Food was fantastic.. Very surprised as I ended up there because the restaurant I was planning to go to was fully booked.. Will definitely be going back and will recommend this place to anyone who likes good food. My only concern was not with the food or the quality of their service, but some of the chairs were so worn that they should really get them replaced.

Really enjoyed eating the chicken hariyali. The herbs and spices complimented the meat really well. The service was efficient and not overbearing.
Food was great, and the nan bread was freshly made 😍. The restaurant was full and we did wait for our food a while, but it worth it! Great place for a week day dinner with family.
I used their takeaway service via Uber Eats earlier this week. Wonderful dishes both starters and mains (some traditional dishes are presented with slight twist/fusion - very exciting!), all arrived hot and fresh, faster than expected, thank you for 2 free poppadums (as I ordered quite a lot, this was a pleasant bonus), thanks to the chef for masterful use of spices in all dishes - very impressive and fragrant. Just ordered the second large meal via Uber Eats again, and cannot wait for its arrival ;) Will recommend to all local neighbours and friends. Positively impressed!
This restaurant always go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The service is the best we have ever experienced. The waiters are so kind & helpful, with lots of knowledge about the menu and how to veganise dishes that are made from scratch! They are able to make most dishes vegan which is amazing.
The food is always piping hot, full of flavour & reasonably priced.

Lovely, super tasty food. My meat was super tender and the sauces accompanying were great. Naan super crispy as well. Service is good too. Table cloth restaurant, classy. I would really recommend the place.

A taste sensation.
We went at early o'clock before anyone else was in there so the service was entirely focussed on us and we had no complaints.
The food was spectacular. We had to take the last few mouthfuls of each dish away in takeaway containers, which they obliged with no fuss.
As we walked out we left the takeaway containers and one of the waiters chased after us to give them back to us, which made lunch the next day incredible.
Highly recommend.
