I visited the place after many years. The place is now much refreshed. The coffee is amazing and cakes looks like real home made deals. I love a meringue one with blueberries on buttery pastry. This is the best cake I have ever eaten. I was told, they introduce a few new cakes every week. Check yourself and enjoy.
Lovely old patisserie near the Tube Station in Hampstead. I had a big moisty rum truffle, his scent only made me drunk...fab. My partner had an eclair, very fresh with a creamy filling. Recommended for a classy sugar fix:-). Not Very expensive at all.
#classy #special #traditional #independent #oldschool #cakeplace #hungarian one of this places where you like to come back very soon #hampstead
The cakes were great and the unique atmosphere added a quirky-ness to the experience. I recommend a visit.
There are three main reasons why people would visit Hampstead. Obviously Hampstead Heath is one of them; other than Primrose Hill, Hampstead Heath is probably the only other vast open space that offers a relatively unobstructed view in central London, and Londoners just can't get enough of it. The other one would be the Everyman Cinema that offers Baby Cinema screenings on Thursdays. However, the tickets, at £13 each, are a bit dearer than Islington's Screen on the Green Baby Club (also of Everyman Cinema chain). And I have been told that the cakes served at the Everyman cinema at Islington Green taste better as well. Finally, people (at least we do) make a trip down to Hampstead for La Creperie de Hampstead and Louis Patisserie . This Hungarian patisserie, which is located along Heath Street,
Many moons ago, I used to live in Hampstead. Subsequently, I've always had rather fond memories of the place; comparing it (perhaps foolishly) to Montmartre; and having been weaned as a nipper on Walt Disney's The Aristocats , think longingly of crooked c
I came for a takeaway coffee and was greeted by very nice waitresses and the smell of amazing looking pastries and cakes. My coconut cappuccino tasted good and I’d love to come back to taste some food. One of the few places in the scenic Hampstead which doesn’t give a feeling of chain after chain after chain.
We rested with friends in this cafe and were completely satisfied. An ideal ratio of price and quality. Friendly staff and a very warm atmosphere. The cakes are delicious, the coffee is one of the best we have ever tasted. We really liked the fact that this establishment tries to please every customer. The presentation of dishes is very refined. We were left with very pleasant impressions and we will definitely visit you again and will recommend this cafe to everyone!
Me and a few friends came here the other day and it was honestly an amazing experience!!! Such an amazing independent cafe!! Freshly made pastries and super yummy cakes which are all so affordable and amazing prices for hampstead. The coffee is amazing and great quality. The cafe has a amazing atmosphere and i will definitely be visiting again!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Louis Patisserie, and let me tell you, it's a hidden gem that every coffee enthusiast must discover! From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries enveloped me, creating an irresistible ambiance.
Their selection of pastries is truly outstanding; the freshness of their pastries is unmatched. The almond croissant is a definite standout - the perfect balance of flakiness and nutty goodness that left me craving for more. Each bite was like a heavenly indulgence.
Now, let's talk about the coffee. Exceptional doesn't even begin to describe it! The baristas here are true artists, skillfully crafting each cup with precision and care. The coffee beans are of the highest quality, and it shows in every sip. Whether you prefer a velvety latte, a robust espresso, or a smooth cappuccino, you're in for a treat.
But it's not just about the food and drinks; it's the entire experience. The friendly and welcoming staff create a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're a solo visitor looking to unwind or catching up with friends, Louis Patisserie is the perfect place to relax and savor the moment.
I can't recommend this coffee shop enough. It's a haven for coffee aficionados and pastry lovers alike. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of their delightful offerings. Do yourself a favor and make your way to Louis - it's an experience you won't want to miss! ☕🥐
Really really friendly staff! The eggs are beautifully cooked, and the sour dough is also the best choice of the day. Simply tasty! We enjoy very much of our coffee too. Def will come back!
Very cozy tea room ambience. The food and the beverages are great, served in beautiful cups.
If you are in a good mood you will appreciate the tackiness of the place for old styles sake, otherwise you d think it s decoration is of bad taste.
Well deserving of five stars. Friendly, efficient staff and this place has been going from 1963. The patisserie are magnificent......I think a jewel of a place. Not for private meetings but great for food and atmosphere......
Louis Patisserie has been around since 1963. Considering the sorrounding area is littered with bakeries amd coffee shops including Gails, Karma Bread Bakehouse and Roni's Bakery, they must be doing something right. They are. For one the selection and variety is great - cream buns, fluffy slices, gooey eclairs, fruity tarts, almond pretzels, macaroons, marzipan cookies and chocolate cakes. My favourite is the Hungarian plum brioche. It is sweet and moist with a gentle sour taste of plums.
The wide selection is matched with warm, friendly, authentic and knowledgeable service. Price wise it is in line with local prices with a slight premium over the national chains such as Pauls.
While the interior has probably not been updated since Louis Permayer arrived to London in the early sixties from Hungary it has character - studded brown leather seats, wood panelling, tiny round tables and spherical lights. If you are in the area, head down Heath Street, less than 100 meters from Hampstead tube station.
Excellent hot chocolate and cake on a cold dark winter's day. Staff are polite and helpful taking care of the both the bakery customers at the front and seated cafe customers behind the bakery. There is a risk that the staff can become busy both manning the shop front and the cafe area. The decor has not been modernised to twenty - first century. This is part of its charm and character. It does what it does rather well and has stood the test of time. People can recall visits when they were kids a generation or two back. Worth a visit.
Came in and had the most amazing experience with a staff memeber named Natalia, she was so lovely and so helpful! Deserves a raise!!!
Definitely has been an amazing experience!! Is a little paradise of sweets and soury cakes and pastries in Hampstead. The tea room is so cosy and they served also English breakfast or afternoon tea! Hungarian specialities by the way...Super recommended.
I really love the cafe. The food/ coffee is worth having, affable lady staff❤️
