Trying Good friend chicken (Ji Chicken) in China Town- there was along queue but went down quickly. Super friendly. We got the popcorn chicken. Crispy and soft. Good quality and all fresh. 100% would recommend!

I tried the volcano cheese chicken breast with seaweed seasoning, and it was nothing short of amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender on the inside with a crispy skin on the outside. The cheese sauce was rich and flavorful, and the seaweed seasoning added a very nice flavor to it.
I also tried the popcorn chicken, which was also very good. The chicken was bite-sized and perfectly crispy, and the seasoning was delicious.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Good Friend Chicken. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great chicken meal.

Excellent fried chicken to take away. Prices are fair - 7£ gets you a great bag of popcorn chicken. The food itself is delicious, and they have lots of options to season the chicken that you get to choose. Service is as fast and they can make it, the kitchen is small and the are working non stop, but they are very popular so you will probably wait a bit, but not too much. We will definitely be back.

This place is really popular. I have ordered the fried gizzard and chicken skin here before which were both amazing.
The chicken is freshly fried. The flavour is on point, be mindful the chili is a little bit spicy but is just right for my taste.
The place is a bit small so it can get crowded inside and you might need to wait for your number to be called outside.
We got the popcorn fried chicken to share as it is a large bag for £7! There are seasonings available and she recommended chilli and garlic which was really nice! There were ques as it is popular but worth the wait and quick serviced, didn't wait long at all and worth the wait!

We got some takeaway chicken from here. So so good!! It’s quite busy but order and a short wait and then you get your crispy spicy chicken to take away.
We tried chicken thighs, wings, tenders, and popcorn chicken. And a milk tea. The chicken is the star. You pick your chicken and then chose your spice per item.
The popcorn chicken is a big portion. Super crispy and nice crunchy batter. The thighs and wings were also large and perfectly cooked.
I would say there is a good reason it’s so popular and to defiantly try it! 🍗
I love eating here so much especially their milk tea and popcorn chicken combo. My choice of seasoning would be spicy cumin and garlic honestly the best place to eat. Although when it comes to how clean the shop is, it needs to be more clean especially since they serve customers nonstop. I believe they should invest in some AC for customers waiting inside the shops and some signs that helps customers outside when their order is ready as the women on till seems to be always stressed out with so many customers not hearing their number being called multiple times.

I think this is the only time the social media hype around this place is true, because It is truly one of the best fried chicken I've had. I don't know what they add to it or how they cook it, but it is delicious!
The chicken is soo tender and flavourful and has a perfect amount of spice and kick to it. A bit pricey but for the amount you get I'll say it's worth it.
The only downside to this place I would say is the location - it's kind of hidden away, the restaurant itself - very small, the whole restaurant was packed full of people, and the staff - not particularly an individual staff but rather how the restaurant handle things. There was no system in place to handle huge amount of customers.
Other than that I highly recommend trying out this place. You won't be disappointed.
After seeing the long queue outside, I was intrigued to try something: hence I went with popcorn chicken! Because it can never go wrong.
Love the taste, and it's crispy as promised.
Tip: don't just go with one topping, try multiple toppings at one go as they're of no additional cost.

I went for the volcanic cheesy chicken (best eaten straight away whilst it's all gooey and delicious) and some popcorn chicken.
They have lots of seasonings to choose from but this time around I went for cheese, garlic, and spicy cumin!

We loved this place and really enjoyed the food. The bubble tea and popcorn chicken were excellent and the staff friendly. Don’t worry if it looks busy, you get served really quickly. I really recommend the plum powder!
This place is absolutely perfect for lunch or dinner depending on how hungry you are! We have tried both the popcorn chicken and the fried squid (as seen in picture) and both were brilliant!! Will definitely be returning :))
I finally had the chance to try out the viral halal fried chicken place located in China town, and it did not disappoint. It was really busy but the service was still fast and the quality of the food was excellent. The chicken was flavourful and tender, but it is a bit more on the pricey side. However I would still recommend this place and come again.

The popcorn chicken (7£) was amazinggg, I highly recommend to get the cheese & garlic spices. It’s a bit overpriced but it’s definitely worthy! The service could be better and the waiting time was too much for only one popcorn chicken…
