This is a definite improvement on the Market Tavern, and it's been achieved without going overboard. It feels like a good place for a drink, the bar staff are friendly, there's decent beer on tap and only a faint whiff of beard oil or gentrification.
The kitchen isn't open yet, but you can bring your own food if you're hungry.
I hope this becomes a place everyone can enjoy and not just a hipster high commission.
Nice bar recently opened on the high street - just what Lewisham needs! Good beer selection and a decent price on all drinks. I think a kitchen may be opening soon which will top it off and gain them the extra star. Great atmosphere, good for a catch-up with mates or a longer night out
Love this pub - good beer, good music and good atmosphere in the heart of Lewisham. Check it out!
Great atmosphere, very good knowledge of beer and don't just have IPAs all the time! Also do super cocktails and have a wide range of wines for the non-beer drinker (if such people exist).
The makings of a great local pub! Good beer selection (including local brewery Villages and often Gipsy Hill too), quirky retro interior and friendly staff. Reasonable prices too.
Very calm, relaxing and love the background jazz music. I know it's more craft beers which I don't mind hence the prices. Very friendly atmosphere and staff too.
Nice Antic pub tastefully decorated with a vintage feel. Parquet wooden floors, big old radios and old lamps.
Cosy, with a good range of drink. No food as yet.
Level access.
Gendered toilets.
I like Antic pubs but this one misses the mark. Beer was good but it felt like a boozer in 1982. Actually reminded me of one in Dalston in 1996 which felt like it was very out dated. There's not a lot of choice in Lewisham but this was a disappointment, that said I went in just after it opened so will return to see if it's found its feet.

We happened into Sutton's Radio rather by chance about 6 weeks ago when we saw the sign for tacos. Coming from Southern California, I was pretty much raised on awesome tacos and Mexican food in general. Moving to London I've been on a 3 year hunt for good Mexican food, so imagine my surprise to find amazing tacos practically on my doorstep at Sutton's Radio. To give you an idea how amazing Taco Shack is, he's been there 6 weeks and we've been back 4 times. I generally get the mushroom tacos, which are shredded like Mexican shredded pork, or carnitas, and my husband has tried all of the tacos, the mushroom, the beef and the fish. We usually get the "one of each" meal which features deliciously fresh nachos, a gorgeous bean and cheese quesadilla, and then finally 3 tacos, brought out one at a time so it's super fresh, hot and delicious. The chef is lovely and friendly and I'm already looking forward to the next visit.
Cheeky gins, paper straws, decent tonics, sensible prices. Quirky and fun for after work drinks. On our first visit, it was a great spot to chat and visit friends.
Lovely little local bar, with a nice atmosphere. Very laid back, good selection on beers, friendly staff. Would recommend.
A good pub from the Antic group in Lewisham. It's big, going back a long way, with lots of places to sit, and great beers and cocktails, and very helpful & friendly staff. A local gem!
Antic pub with the usual good beer selection and slightly shabby interior. The Victorian wall maps of Lewisham are a nice touch. A great addition to the High Street.
Also now has a great quiz on Sunday.
Great pub. For drinkers who like thier ales and pales.
Family friendly.
Really friendly staff go out of thier way to make you feel welcome. Love it.
An Antic pub. Very nice interior decor based on it's being the site of a former radio shop. Quite a quiet place. Good for a civilised pint. Does a good pub quiz I'm Sunday
A lovely new pub in Lewisham, with great decor (lots of huge old radios). Beer range is pretty good, I look forward to them starting to do food!
New Antic pub in the centre of Lewisham's shopping district. Has four cask ales alongside five keg beers and the usual continental lagers. Plenty of seating space and the usual vintage décor, themed around classic radio sets, and a bar repurposed from the slate from pool tables. Kitchen currently being set up, but outside food is welcome in the meantime.
