I tried Van Hing last Friday and was very delighted with Ba'nh Cuo^'n (prawn & pork). Staff wasn't super attentive but I will come back for more Ba'nh Cuo^'n. It's a bit of traveling but the price is good. Recommended!
I eat here loads and it is really good value, friendly and accommodating. Service can sometimes be a little slow but I guess that can happen when busy. Overall a great mix for Veggie's, Vegans and meet eaters alike.
Great, Cheap and Authentic. Great little place in Camberwell, half the price of shoreditch Vietnamese restaurants. Pho is 5 pounds and green tea is complimentary, serves really tasty and authentic food cheap and friendly waiting staff.
Nice atmosphere and lighting.
Good, cheap food. Dreadful service!
Delicious dishes, Highly recommended.. The food here is extremely delicious, I would also like to comment on the friendly atmosphere and service.
Great value, Great food. I visited this shop last year, and the food was horrid. However, the shop seemed to have changed owners and this year the shop has improved by a vast amount. The prices are good value and the food is astonishing. I highly recommend this shop.
Really reasonably priced, decent portion sizes in a local business
One of my favourites in South London.. the pho is the absolute highlight of this place but the other stuff on the menu is great, especially the summer rolls. Far less grease involved than most places. The food is cheap, as is the beer
Hidden gem. Amazing food. Cash only.
Great cheap eat in Camberwell. Recommend the Pho and the salt and pepper dishes. It’s cash only but 3 people can eat for £40
If your sharing so worth the trip to the ATM!
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants with very affordable prices.
I was truly amazed by the taste of the pho soup when I first came. It was sophisticated with different herbal aromas but humbly, not too strong, providing a harmonised aroma backdrop for the delightfully sweet and savoury soup. I have been thinking about replicating that soup after I went back home.
I came back again today to retry the pho. However, this time, the taste of the soup is rather plain, and the turmeric is a bit too strong that stands out. It got me thinking the cooking is to some degree inconsistent, and that's a shame.
However, even for a normal Vietnamese restaurant, factoring in the low price tag and large and generous portions, the value itself still earns it a 5. The caramelised pork is also one of the best I have had in London so far.
The interior is old school and outdated but the food is more than good enough to keep us coming back. They specialise in Vietnamese food and also do typical Chinese takeaway food too - both tasty.
We always order the crispy Vietnamese spring rolls which are so moreish and lots of steamed rice rolls filled with pork which are like Vietnamese cheung fun.
Food is always good whether you eat in or takeaway (they don’t deliver), and whilst we don’t live down the road, we are more than happy to drive to pickup this yummy food.
I had a lovely meal here we weren't sure where to eat and we chose this on a whim and was really happy with our selection
The food was really nice, I had the mixed meat noodles, with lemon chicken and Szechuan chicken everything was perfectly cooked, the lemon chicken in particular was fantastic
The drinks were really cheap too which is always a pleasant surprise. Service was warm and friendly. We will be back!
It is cash only there is a sign but we missed it, there is a cashpoint to the left out of the door a minute down the road by the bustop so no drama
Delicious food, great price!!! Salt & pepper squid, grilled dumplings, summer rolls & chicken pho (dinner for 2) with 2 beers only £31+tip. Love it!
Highly recommend vietnamese food with very reasonable price and good service. But you have to book table in advance, or else it's hard to get a table
Beautiful, clean restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. We came for a family saturday lunch - waiter were very polite and served us quickly. The fried squid is the most crispy, flavorful, and succulent dish I've had and went really well with the freshly squeezed orange juice. For mains we went for duck and spare ribs which I definitely recommend!! We have been back many times and the quality of fresh food and service is always so high 10/10 x
Rice Prawn Rolls are awesome. Good vietfood and prices are cheap. Three entrees, two mains and two drinks £31. Yes the decore is a little outdated but the food is what matters. Quick service and make sure you book for dinners (7.30pm ish) Friday and Saturday night.
Absolutely delicious food! Superb pho at reasonable prices! The other items on the menu are also absolutely delicious! Been here about 5 times now and will be coming back many more times!
great food! I got the tofu, veg pho and it was massive, tasty and I now literally dream about it on a regular basis.
Van Hing doesn't look like much from the outside but peer through the steamed up window and you will notice it is always full of happy locals. This is an excellent value Vietnamese owned restaurant that does fantastic fresh pho and other vietnamese dishes plus the full range of chinese take-away standards. The portions are huge and the prices are low. The services is speedy. Highly recommended.
Delicious and cheap! Nice Vietnam and Chinese restaurant.definitely worth trying.
Absolutely delicious lòng lợn with amazing price on Friday! Highly recommend to any Vietnamese looking for lòng lợn in London and to any foreigners wanting to try a new dish. The place in general offers very cheap but high-quality foods and drinks.
