Had a lovely lunchtime menu at the Honeymoon restaurant today. Four course lunchtime special,total cost £16.60p,for two people..Great value and a choice of 28 main courses on the lunch specials.My wife and I try and get there about once a fortnight.My own favourite is the beef curry with egg fried rice.Great value and always a good meal.
Me and my family have been coming here for, forever! The food is consistently tasty. We are sticklers and usually go for the same food each time we visit, but we rarely get disappointed.
Take away is also tasty and hot!
Decor is outdated, but I don't come here to look at the walls. I come here for the yummy chinese food!!
We've been to this restaurant for nearly 20years. Consistently great. We've tried others but Honeymoon is always the best. It would be great if they delivered but it's worth the effort collecting it.

Tried their King prawn fried rice, Fried beef with white mushroom, Sizzling king prawns with tomato and garlic sauce, Sliced duck with chilli and black bean sauce and plain boiled rice.
Absolutely Mouthwatering and Worth every penny. 😋 They will serve all the dishes on a warmer. It is a stainless box that has candles inside. It keeps the food warm. The staff are very friendly and professional. They serve food very quickly right after taking your order.. Overall it feels like you are in China because it is how it was decorated. Prices are average compared to other Chinese cuisine.
I went to the honeymoon restaurant to try out, one of their weekday lunch time specials. The honeymoon is a long standing Chinese restaurant that has been around for a long time. They offer a 4 course menu (which tea is one of the courses) for the price of a main. I have to say it was enjoyable and good value. We ordered a number 13 and 25. They were both tasty, and we're given a chicken and sweetcorn soup to start with. The soup was good and you could see decent size pieces of chicken. The mains were good and we had soy on the table, and were given chilli oil too. The tea with the meal was nice, and I like having Chinese tea with a Chinese meal. You get a choice of ice-cream or fruit salad at the end. We got one of each and shared it. It was a nice finish to the meal. I'd like to come back and try some of the other dishes on the menu. It was around the £20 mark for both of us.
I have come to this restaurant for many years, and I can only say that the food and staff are excellent. Tonight I am amazed at just how good my Spare Rib starter has been, sweet, succulent and melts in the mouth. I had Sweet and Sour Pork Hong Kong style with Fried Soft Noodles pleasantly smokey. Their portions are huge, I have had to ask for a doggy bag to take with me. Great quality, fresh food, next time I will bring friends to share with. Each decade they get better! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Veey good food and service. No draft beer unfortunately. Have been visiting occasionally for over 40 years and doesn't look much different than it did then! Very convenient for tube and buses. Will be back.
First time here, but will definitely be coming back. The staff are SO friendly, and the main course portions are really generous. I also love that it’s been open for almost 50 years - can’t believe I’ve never been before!
First time trying this restaurant and we collectively loved it! Food was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive! Hidden gem in Southgate! I will definitely be back :)
Food is great always, annoyed I haven’t discovered this little gem earlier! Authentic food, good size portions. Best Chinese in North London. I don’t live within delivery radius, so I always dine in, but don’t let the quietness fool you, they are super busy with deliveries.
Had a 3 course lunchtime meal here today open between 12 and 2pm it was very nice and the food was lovely the bill was under £40 for 4 of us good service would recommend

It's a traditional Chinese restaurant with a large selection of food. The food is top quality and delicious at a reasonable price. During our visit with the family everything was tidy and clean. Have nothing but good things to say about the place.
Excellent Chinese food, very kind people, consistently a wonderful experience! Have been going for years and will keep doing so. So nice to have good Chinese food in Southgate with lovely service.
