Can't recommend this venue highly enough. We had the most amazing B-Day party last night thanks to Gary and his team for all their effort. I love the place even just for a drink and the food there is an added bonus. Bravo! Gorgeous little bistro. My happy place and an amazing venue for special occasions too. We had a night well never forget! Xxx

We really enjoyed lunch yesterday. So nice to see so much choice for Ceoliacs requiring gluten free menu. Great food, great service and great ambience. Really recommend!

Went there for dinner last night. Had the lemon Sole which was was new to the menu but amazing, especially once they serve it filleted rather than on the bone which can be a bit of a faff. Overall the food was delicious and extremely well priced, will definitely be going back

This place is great, and probably my favourite bar in London, certainly in the South West London area. It has probably the best selection of (proper) craft beers I have come acorss anywhere, including a great Aussie pale ale (little Creatures?) and a great German Weissbier that you would not normally see elsewhere, as wel as numerous others. The food is very good gastro pub fare and the music is always good. In terms of ambience, think cosy NYC Brooklyn speak easy with bricked walls etc. The bar and floor staff are very pleasant and attentive, although yes, things get pretty busy some times. Love it.

My favourite place to sit in the sun, with beautiful food and great beers. It's also my dogs favourite bar too :-D . The staff are amazing and the Sunday roasts are worth killing for, as is the coronation chicken. Another great choice is the coconut brioche bread and butter pudding - perfect with a scoop of salted caramel ice-cream..... Mmm!! I'm salivating at the thought. I wish I could give 6 stars.

I have only just discovered what could be two of the top foodie establishments around Clapham: The Rookery (B) and Abeville Kitchen (A), both situated half way between Clapham Common and Clapham South. Although the design concepts may be different, the overall ideas are the same: changing seasonal menu around well sourced seasonal ingredients. Map Location Outside Rookery (outdoor seating) The Rookery's exposed brick walls are dimply lit by bare low hanging light bulbs and only slightly more accentuated by the candles on the tables. A spiral stair case connects two dining rooms with the upstairs décor struggling to decide between down-town New York and 18th Century London. The food is excellent and on this occasion the winner was the lamb for two cooked until pink served with beans and chorizo c£ 30. The staff are very attentive and know their menu however it seems on a busy Friday evening there was just not enough of them; slightly longer wait for the dessert menu and eventually the b

This lovely pub is a much quieter and better option to the vast Windmill over the road. Whilst not on the common side the benches out front overlook the pond and are a suntrap in summer. Inside is cosier with some tables tucked into a few nooks for a more private dining experience. The range of ales is good and the food is also particularly nice. The burger I had came in at around £10, but was much better than those slapped together elsewhere. Rosemary on the handcut chips was also a nice touch that lifts this pub slightly above others locally.

A fine Street side pub, the Rookery is a great addition to the Clapham pub scene. Simple but has all you need for a fine drink. Plenty on offer from the keg. Unfortunately, not one for the real ale drinker, no cask ales (as far as I can tell) The 'Lost' lager was good, clear, cold and crisp. Lovely staff at the bar, friendly, quick and efficient. A most enjoyable visit. Also, there is a spiral staircase here, always a winner 🏆

We went there for a roast. It was nice 7/10. And they still had roasts available at 7pm which was late. A bit light on the meat. Got an extra Yorkshire tho. The staff seemed like they had a big night and were a bit spacey but polite.

Best little pub/wine bar in south Clapham, the diverse locals are really friendly, so are the staff and the prices are very reasonable for London. Great for watching sport, outside TVs, I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Enjoyed a great Saturday evening here with friends. The cocktails are tasty but come in very small glasses so you don't really realise how much you are drinking! The food was great, I would definitely recommend the pork belly. The service was attentive and the setting a nice balance between a bar and a restaurant. Would definitely go back.

Perfection on a plate. One of the best meals I have ever had in London, clearly all fresh ingredients which had been carefully crafted into a delicious dish. Waiting staff were engaging and knowledgeable, they really made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. I can only recommend The Rookery to anyone considering it - try the pork shoulder, you will not be disappointed. We will be back ASAP to see what else they have come up with.

The food and service at the Rookery is exceptional, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food served by the chefs is second to none!! I had the Roast Pork Belly and I can definitely say I’ll be back again for more! Even under the pump they are still able to deliver great food!

I really like this pub. Before Covid, it built a fantastic reputation as a place to have a great meal by the Common. It's open again (currently without kitchen, until things are properly back to normal), and is still brilliant for summer drinks. It has a large outside area with a retractable awning for when the showers hit. There's a good selection of beers on tap including some of the "craft" brands (quotes because they are pretty mainstream now). Recently it's become a very popular football pub, during the Euros tournament - it's always packed a couple of hours before kick off, with a great atmosphere. Lots of screens, and playlists of England songs in the build-up, to get everyone singing. I've found the staff to be really helpful even on these extremely busy nights when they are rushed off their feet. No pub is perfect, but this is one of the better ones. Would recommend.
