Din Tai Fung Covent Garden - London - Photo album

Came here for the famous soup dumplings. The Truffle ones were great the pork ones were good. Chicken buns are just regular. For dessert we ordered the moon dumplings with taro, egg yolk and another flavor I can't remember. Honestly I was not a fan of them. Highlight: you see all the cooks making t
The food honestly incredible. When I tell you that we were emotional about it, I’m not lying. It was an experience. I highly recommend the Mushroom and Edamame Noodles. The Shiitake Mushrooms were heavenly!! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also amazing, it looks authentic and the servers make
After a detour at Milroys, we finally headed straight to Din Tai Fung. We didn’t make any reservations in advance; luckily, we were told that if we were able to finish our meal within an hour, we could get a table. The menu offers the same items as Din Tai Fung elsewhere. It’s akin to an upscale Mc
What a great place this is. The service from Colin was outstanding. we wanted to change a few things to the drinks and menu, and they were happy to do so. We ordered loads of different dishes for us all to try. They didn't bring everything at once. They waited for us to finish our dishes before brin
Service: excellent. We had a waiter with an Italian (?) accent who was very friendly and attentive. Food: I expected more, but it was alright. The custard buns were very creamy, the other two steamed items were very mildly flavoured. The mushroom fried rice was quite disappointing- it tasted like o
They are the experts of making the simple food super delicious, I have been to the original store in Taiwan, the quality and service in London branch is as good as the original store. Recommend fried rice, chicken soup and of course classic Xiao Long Bao
Came for a quick lunch and was not disappointed, the XLBs were so so good, and the ribs also lovely. I had a sweet tea to drink, which was also really good. The staff were very quick and friendly.
I miss din tai fung so decided to give it a try. The service is really nice, food are served almost immediately. Signature pork dumpling is good, no disappointment. Beef noodles is disappointed as the soup base is really bad, i dont think they put a lot of time and ingredients in. Only 3 pieces of b
Our meal was very tasty and we both enjoyed. My wife and I have been visiting Din Tia Fung restaurants around the world for over 10 years and I have to point out the following factors that stopped me from giving 5 stars ….. firstly there was no chilli soy and vinegar on the tables anymore, and even
Great, exquisite restaurant. I popped by here to have a quick meal before going to a comedy show. I was expecting a bigger selection of dumplings on the menu but was still satisfied with what I chose. Would comeback to spend more time and have more than one dumpling next time.
Amazing Taiwanese food. My favorite hometown Flavour in London. Love the salted egg yolk custard lava buns, soooo delicious. Everything is good. Dumpling (Xiao long bao) is a must try!!! Either the original, truffle, or chili crab are all tasty. Rice and noodle are highly recommended too. Hot and
I read that Din Tai Fung was considered one of the 10 Best Restaurants in the World by the NY Times for a period. I'm not sure if that is true, but it is definitely that quality of an experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were world class. I couldn't have been happier.
Amazing dim sum, truly fabulous flavours. Waiters were super attentive and kind and were quick to react to any request we had. Will definitely come back next time I am in London. I should have taken more photos but everything smelled and looked so good, I honestly couldn't wait to dig in!
Amazing Taiwanese food! Service is excellent and the dishes were so delicious! The dan dan noodles have the nicest sauce and you can tell all the dumplings etc are freshly made! They also have a open kitchen so you can watch the chefs use their skills to make the noodles and dumplings!
Compared to the portions in Taiwan, the dumplings here were smaller, yet still very juicy and tasty. Very friendly staff. It was convenient to reserve online via google.
The service was great, the staff is super helpful and always willing to help. When it comes to the food, everything was perfect, the dumplings were phenomenal, totally recommend it. The atmosphere is also nice and although it was a bit busy, everything was up to the standards.
Great place for some great dim sum !! I think this place deserves to have a higher rating. Service was fast and very friendly staff. The food overall was flavoursome, well presented and smelt great. We had six dishes which I felt was just the right amount and some delicious bubble tea.
Wish I took better pictures of the food before I started digging in but it was DELICIOUS! I can tell why this place has won awards. The food is truly simple but so rich and worth the money. This is a real treat. People come here for the dim sum but I’m actually more impressed with their other menu i
