My favourite place for coffee. Their espresso is superb – and is only £1 a shot. This is cheaper than almost everywhere else and is served in lovely little porcelain cups with still water on the side. For me, their espresso is much better than any of the big chains' coffee that is often only offered in cardboard cups for almost twice as much money. I have not had a full meal here but the cakes are very good and imaginative without being too sweet. And the service has always been friendly and charming.

The staff here are always chatty, warm and interesting to talk to. Today I was served by a lovely French man who was an enthusiastic foodie and kindly gave me a croissant to try and it was AMAZING! They are passionate about food and know their stuff. Pastries are flawless, delicate and fresh as you would expect at the best patisseries. They don’t mess around with the coffee, if you want a strong coffee as you’d get in Italy and a proper pick-me-up this is the place to come. Wild Caper never disappoints, I’ve worked in Brixton for 2 years and it’s my favourite spot. Thank you!

I thought I had eaten well in Brixton marketing, must have eaten in at least 10 of the restaurants now and this one surpassed all my expectations. The food was brilliant. The bread, oh god the bread, is outstanding. The oil, hummus and dukkah that you can dip it is is outstanding. For mains I shared four meze dishes, lamb, chicken wrapped in bacon, pork belly and calamari. The pork was the best with it being nice and crispy and the least favourite was the calamari, purely because it got cold very quickly. The new potatoes are a great accompaniment and I could have ate many, many more if I had not eaten far too much bread. The cocktails are only a £5 but be warned they are very strong! So why only the 4 stars? The staff. Now, I love a leisurely dinner and not feeling rushed but for a place with inside seating for a max of 12 people, there were 2 people on the floor and it was impossible to get served for anything, especially tap water to help with the super strength cocktails. They need help, another member of staff would just help it flow much better

Stopped here early on a Saturday morning for some breakfast whilst in Brixton and was not disappointed. The market hall is a nice setting for the place and its absolutely top value for what you pay. We ordered two Americano's, one full breakfast and one vege breakfast. The coffee was absurdly good and was served with hot water and steamed milk on the side, a nice touch. The food was also very good with really nice, well cooked bacon and sausage on the full breakfast side and a tasty mozzarella and spinach mix and portobello mushroom on the vege side. Both came with well poached eggs, tomatoes and delicious sourdough toast. It testament to the quality of the bread that they supply loads of surrounding cafés! Service was relaxed and whilst I do prefer this it did border on disinterested. Though not a big deal when the food and drink are this good for the price!

Nice food, very good bread (sourdough) and friendly staff. Coffee and other hot drinks are really good. For those who like real espresso.. they make one of the best in town.

Our favourite place in Brixton!! Marvelous breakfasts with Italian coffee, delicious every time. The staff are also wonderful. Almost hesitant about reviewing in case it gets too popular!

I am not a big expert of Brixton but I was lucky when, looking for some good coffee, I have seen the Wild Caper. What attracted me and convinced me to stop was definitely the aromatic smell of coffee coming out of the store. Looking inside, I also noticed some really inviting cakes. The cozy atmosphere and the sensorial stimulation that the Wild Caper are able to transmit are certainly two major selling points of this little coffee/restaurant and I would recommend to stop by and enjoy it there. Don't take take-away food but take-your-time and spoil your senses.

Great Mediterranean food. It's a mix of Lebanese, Greek and Italian mezzes served on little plates, fun to share or enjoy alone. The sourdough bread is really good!

Had the best eggs benedict ever here, not too heavy with the sauce and some great coffee too. Service was quick and got a table without much wait, nice atmosphere, relaxed.
