This is a great little hip cafe in Soho. It has a nice intimate feel, animated staff members and good service.

Excellent flat white (probably the best in London), amazing flavor, perfect milk, nice latte art on top.
This place has its charm with awesome coffee, cakes and quick bites.
Well priced for central London and recommend for coffee loversā¤ļø.

The second best coffee in London. ...and only to their sister location, Flat White.

If you are near either of these two places and have a requirement for a caffeine fix, you shouldn't walk past it. Milk Bar is tucked away on an unassuming street, and unless you know it's there you will definitely miss it.

I've spent many an afternoon drinking perfect lattes and eating delicious brunches in this warm and small setting, along with many a minute staring at the portafilter attached to the door going up and down as people come and go.

Head here for a fix, you won't be disappointed.

This is actually two cafes run by the same people, each is as good as the other, and both in Soho.
As with most good cafes in London, they are run by Australians and the odd Kiwi. It seems if you want a good coffee in London, you need to get someone from Australia to fly over and make it for you.
These cafes are like being home in Melbourne, thanks to the fact they are mainly populated by Australians, and also the excellent coffee. Do it.

So weā€™ve been back in London for only a day and Iā€™m already keen for a decent coffee. I drag everyone over to Milk Bar in Soho after eating lunch nearby. (I was a big fan of Flat White its sister cafe a few streets away.)

The sister place from Flat White is no other than Milk Bar, opened in May 2008, quite close to Flat White to be honest, same mission and values, bring to London the refined artisan and independent coffee shops you can easily find in Australia. As its other venue the style and decor goes pretty well with the area, ever changing art gives you a refresh when you visit the place in different opportunities, dark oak colours, contrasting white walls, alternative music, all day breakfast, some sweet treats, breads, milkshakes, and the coffee using the Square Mile roasters blend from El Salvador, Brazil, and Sumatra

Just before Christmas (and lost in their red cup cinammon and peppermint festive frenzy) Starbucks launched their first flat white. A ā€œresponse to customers asking for less milkā€, and a decision no doubt influenced by the rash of places offering the drink

...I love this place - I love the fact you can always get a seat, I love the vibe, I love the staff (but like I've said before - not in a creepy way) and most importantly the coffee ROCKS.

Do you work in Covent Garden? Are you a-buzz seeker, in hunt of some top notch brown rocket fuel? Well my pretty, I have just the place for youā€¦

As a new convert to coffee, (viva the Columbian ground gold) I am now finding myself continually on the hunt for a new little corner, nook or cranny to serve up a mighty fine cup. Say what you will about artisan coffee stations being ten to the dozen, it is not true. You can barely swing a handbag without whacking five starbucks cups out of varying unsuspected hands, but to find a decent coffee stop off ā€“ the real deal, if you willā€¦ still takes some searching. So to narrow your search, even just slightly ā€“ let me introduce you to Milk Bar, and for that matter, Flat White ā€“ its sister cup of mocha.

The cafes are run by a Kiwi and an Aussie ā€“ apparently they donā€™t think we Brits ā€˜doā€™ coffee well enough. I think the Italians would agree.

I always go for a soy cappuccino. A little more frothy then a latte. Unfortunately this was the regular milk one. I wonder if perhaps the barista took one look at the word soy and thought ā€˜that fussy miss, she doesā€™t deserve a pretty swirl in ā€˜er coffee.ā€™

For this non-solo coffee affair, I was joined by the lovely Rose, pr gal guru and hot shot at Story PR. We were both rather taken with the smooth creaminess of the beans and the beauty of the one cup they bothered to swirlā€¦

I always love catching up with Rose, not just because we spend the whole time talking about new foodie haunts, recipe ideas and some exciting projects going on with her new clients (It is always good to get the inside scoop on some of my fave food brands. Rude Health and Belazu in particularā€¦ donā€™t worry I will keep your secrets on the down low ;) but also because she has such a knack of untangling my complicated messy tangle of ideas and getting them into manageable format. She really is a gem in my mad chef life!

The coffee at Milk Bar and Flat White is provided by Squaremile ā€“ a superb east London roastery, who also provide coffee to my beloved (Leeds University) Opposite Cafe. ā€“ I have good memories of this coffee, so perhaps that makes my biased?! Iā€™m not sure all I know is their blends are mighty fine and highly recommended. In fact, I may have to stock up on a bag or two the next time I pop into Milk Bar.

Great tasting coffee reminiscent of my travels in Australasia. Would have awarded 5 stars but the baristaā€™s were not happy in their work... Good selection of sizing from 4 oz to 12 oz. Ā£3.50 is on the pricey side for a 12oz...

went for breakfast early (8:30am), and the place was pleasantly quiet. we had two long black - excellent. the food was even better! avo on toast was sensetional, with coriander giving it a nice twist. the "all in" had some of the creamiest scrambled eggs we have ever tried. service was pleasent. all in all i'd highly recommend

Small coffee shop in Soho, but bigger their sister shop Flat White. More seats inside and also few outside. I came just a few minutes before closing for one quick coffee so haven't seen any food, as they were preparing to close the shop. However the coffee was very good. I need to come back another time.

Good service and tasty coffee, in the price range that seems to be usual in London. I would recommend it over the chain cafƩs, but it's in no way outstanding compared to other specialty cafƩs.

It's been some years since I've had the opportunity of visiting the place I'd say served the best lattes I've ever had. With such expectations it's easy to be disappointed when you finally get your fix. Alas, that's not the case here. 5 years on, their coffee tastes precisely the same & though there are some new faces they're no less friendly than they always were. If it weren't obvious by this point. Love this place, one of the rare places I wish I could take abroad with me.

Coffee is superb. Flat whites are excellent. Decor is clean and pleasant. Service is great from all staff. Milk Bar and Flat White are pretty much one and the same so make sure you get a loyalty card if you frequent both as stamps are provided at both locations.

Milk bar is a very chilled coffee shop on Bateman street in Soho. We are served high quality flat whites and milkshakes in old-fashioned glass milk bottles. Food is also quite good, especially scrambled eggs and they have a wide range of homemade cakes to choose from. It's a very nice to place to relax and catch up with friends. The only downside is that they recently changed their menu thus increasing their prices which makes visiting there not as cost effective as in the past. Still highly recommended.

This place has good food and good breakfast drinks. I had eggs bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice. My wife had smoked salmon, a bagel and coffee. All was great. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I ordered extra dry scrambled eggs. I even explained that I meant to just cook them to their dry. After I sat down I heard the guy at the register explain to the cook how I wanted them. When I got the eggs they were very runny. Although they were still very good so I didn't complain. All in all a great place.

Amazing coffee - freshly ground for every cup. Strong, smooth and consistently excellent. On the downside, the staff are incredibly pretentious and only friendly with the select elite. The coffee is very expensive - Ā£2.70 for a large take out, and at lunch time you can expect to wait ten minutes for your coffee to be made.

Excellent coffee. The place is easy to find and you will be able to score a table even if it's full. The staff are always very polite and they are animal friendly too so feel free to visit with your four legged pal. I recommend trying their muffins too, I've noticed that their selection keeps getting bigger and they are always fresh and oh so tasty.

Lovely atmosphere, very warm and welcoming and they serve excellent freshly brewed coffee. An additional bonus is the amazingly tasty cheesecake. I think it even the best in town and they have a wide selection of flavour too.
