Great for a business meeting. Visited Bank & Zander @ Buckingham Gate for a business dinner and was really impressed. Great bar area serving a wide range of drinks, including some delicious non-alcoholic cocktails for those of us who were driving. Delicious meal with a menu that offered something for everyone.

Tucked away on Buckingham Gate, next tour to the lovely Taj Hotels lies a little known restaurant and bar. Well little known to me, because hiding down a long corridor lies a bright airy space overlooking St James Court, hiding Bank restaurant - part of the Individual group of restaurants.
Angie opts for the smoked salmon to start while I opt for the asparagus and poached egg with hollandaise. The asparagus are not the tender young stalks I expect but cooked well and cut through quite easily when picked with the perfectly done egg and not overpowering hollandaise.
For mains I've opted for the Crab salad which is a little lacking in dressing but crunchy and fresh with a good helping of crab to mix well into the salad. Angie's opted for the Dover sole on the bone and this appears to be beautifully done and cooked just right.
It's a very easy restaurant to spend a few hours in, chatting and eating some good, decently executed food with the subtle hum of unobtrusive service in the background. One to visit again but this time try out their long and intriguing looking bar, I've heard the cocktails are ones to try!
