Not sure about the pizza but the rest of the menu is superb. Very fresh and difficult dishes - expect a main for around £12-16 but portions are big. really great interesting Italian cuisine def worth a visit
Yummy yummy. We have been to Su sazzagoni several times before. Food is always fresh and tasty and its staff welcoming. You can also taste some wonderful Sardinian wine which you cannot find very often in other Italian restaurants. Just one complaint: My friend was very disappointed to learn that they run out of the fantastic tiramisu'. It looks like we have to go back soon just for that!
My favourite Italian. I am a su sazzagoni fan since when it opened last year and visit it regularly.
Food is great, always perfectly cooked, the Sardinian wines are superb and not expensive, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.
Very good price for such high quality food.
I strongly reccomend to try the black ink ravioli with crab and the seafood fregola.
Great pizza. Best in London that I have found so far
-a quick blog search later and I had closed in on Su Sazzagoni - a family run Sardinian eatery in Victoria Park...
Having been enamoured with a Sardinian for a few years, I'm biased to say that Sardinian cuisine tops Italian. Similar they are, but the regional specialties makes it so much better for me. Or I'm so enamoured my tastebuds have gone awry. I would like to
Whilst it may appear that the UK has adopted a healthy Italian restaurant scene, most of them are actually about as authentic as a Cornetto. 'Spag bol', cheesy crusted pizzas and garlic bread would look about as alien on a traditional Italian family's tab
Amazing italian restaurant. Just next to Victoria Park it has a proper italian taste. I loved the burrata and the truffle pasta. They also make an amazing coffee! I will be back to try the pizza
Had a wonderful meal here with friend. The squid starter was lovely and lightly battered and fresh. We had one of each of the escalope dishes for main and both were delicious. Portions are generous. I would have preferred less breaded chicken and more spaghetti, but that is my preference. Finished up with some lovely ice cream and sorbet. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The service was quick but certainly not rushed, but then again the restaurant wasn't crowded. Altogether a wonderful night and I look forward to returning.
We have had lunch here a couple times now, both times with our little ones. It is a nice local cafe, decent food, but the people that work here are fantastic. On our most recent visit the waiter noticed we had our hands full with a wild toddler and crying baby & our waiter offered to take the baby, he actually took the crying baby off our hands, calmed him down & walked him around the restaurant so my husband could have a bite to eat! So amazing & kind!
The calamari was amazing, cooked perfectly! We will be back!
I love this place!! Came here several times, after having being recommended it by a friend, and I have to say it really feels like being home. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious, to say the least. If you're around Victoria Park this place is an absolute must.
People who wrote bad reviews about this place obviously have a conflicts of interest, and/or do not understand anything about food, and/or are those kind of people who always like to complain, because honestly, being Italian and having lived in this city for the passed 7 years, I must say this is one of the best Italian places I have ever eaten at in London.
Definitely 100% recommended!
Buon Appetito were wonderful in helping us arrange a dinner for our wedding day. They organised a set menu and communicated brilliantly with us about all the details. We had the restaurant all to ourselves and the food was absolutely delicious! The profiteroles blew us away! They made the day even more special for us, thank you so much!
Freshest food I've had in long while. The staff was very welcoming and the director Diletta was very accommodating and even the chef Marco came to our table to have a chat with us and explain us he's a regular at Billingsgate Market where gets his fresh fish and seafood. I took my parents there for lunch and even being as fussy about food as Italians can be there were extremely satisfied
This is our local Italian. We love it!! The food is delicious, good affordable wines, and the Campari Spritz are a joy!!
Last night while celebrating my husband’s birthday, chef had a bit of a meltdown. This was unfortunate not only for Diletta but for the customers, too.
We hope whatever issues will be resolved.
Ups and downs. First visit about two months ago, had the seafood linguine and found it possibly one of the best seafood pasta dishes I had tasted in a long time (and being Italian and a former chef, I tend to be very fussy with my pasta). Second visit today, had the grilled squid starter which was slightly on the small side and not really exciting (two pieces of squid on top of some plain celery strips). Had the seafood linguine again and, while the seafood was still very fresh, the dish in itself was just correct, nothing more. Will probably give it another try, but they best deliver, as it's also not exactly the cheapest Italian in town...
OMG anyone saying the pizza or food here is anything but SUPERB, knows absolutely nothing about REAL good quality Italian food. It’s the way only place apart from two places in central London, where I truly eat well n feel at home. Everything is imported from Italy, great culinary skills and true authentic Italian cooking. Never mind that bozo Jamie Oliver, you got the original here!!!

Good and fresh taste of italy pasta ! Warm location and great service.
Tried both pizza and pasta. I found all of them very good. Unfortunately in London you almost never get good seafood as in Italy. If you order for home delivery a pizza stress that they don't have to send through deliveroo or any driver that uses a backpack style container otherwise your topping will flow on one side of the box.
Lovely resturant, very friendly and the food is amazing. Lovely family based resturant, the staff have no problems with kids being kids and try entertain the kids while you eat. Having pizza dough for the kids to play with while we wait for the food really helps keep the kids busy.
Would definitely recommend the restaurant !!!
Me and my Italian friend had an amazing lunch last week. We decided to visit the Su Sazzagoni after a long walk in Victoria park. We were starving and were surprised with quick service and extremely tasty dishes. I'd recommend getting a Coniglio a succhittu or Lasagne. :) We enjoyed this place. Highly recommended!
