We had fantastic food. The wow factor however wasn't the food it was our waiter Pier. We begun our dining experience at 6pm as we wanted to enjoy the 3 course early evening dining offer. I had the squid to start which was beautifully cooked & seasoned. My husband had the Catalan mushrooms which were
Great food, the coq au vin was so tasty and the wine was delicious.
Particularly lovely, friendly, and hard working waiting staff. The gypsy jazz band was fantastic too.
The whole bar is decorated with pictures of Django Reinhardt- great setting for a lovely night.
Wonderfully quaint & cosy with great music & service and okay food
It’s a very cool pub with amazing decor and ambience. The gypsy jazz live music is absolutely fantastic.
The cocktails and drinks are great. The food is rustic French but to be honest, a bit of a let down. The baked Camembert was o
Reviewed April 2021 when indoor dining is not yet allowed. Back garden is very lovely. Food is good, a few selections but not too diverse. Lovely cocktails though. Wine might be tiny bit overpriced but just normal for London. Will be back for live music band from May.
Unique, fun, interesting alternative night in South London! Had a fab band on and the food is great... dessert too. A must visit if you haven't been before. Best to book in advance... good for family and date night. Charming find.
Two stages in a beautiful, rustic and cosy U shaped establishment tucked away on old Battersea High St. host nightly music events featuring Europe's "gypsy jazz" artists. Charming and upbeat with oustanding "home cooked" menu. The bar takes up a large centre space within the house. The back garden a
Great dinning experience, the food is always spot on, and has a good selection of dishes, the wine is ever flowing, the live music is great, but what makes a great dinning experience is the whole atmosphere of the place, the venue, and the incredibly sassy but hilarious staff.
Taken a few friends f
The home of London's gypsy jazz community. Great players come from all over town and even further afield. There's a fantastic free jam session on Tuesdays and a full program of pre-booked artists most other nights. Many of the gigs are free entry if you arrive before 8, and £6 afterwards. Some are a
I've been going to Le Quecumbar for some years and recommend it to everyone that likes food, wine and good live music. It never fails to be a special night. The atmosphere is intimate the decor is a spectacle - especially in the summer, as the garden is beautiful.
I had my 40th birthday there as a
Probably not for everyone but if you are into 1930's music with that Parisian café vibe, you'll probably never leave. Oh, and they are a big fan of Django Reinhardt with live music most nights.
Quecumbar is a small intimate bar. Good parking and some great musicians. They also serve food at a reasonable price.
A good surprise! Hidden little gem, not very easy to find, however it was worthy. Small, cosy and warm Parisian style atmosphere, very pleasant jazzy like live music, adorable little garden and good wine selection. On the less side, few choices regarding beer and overpriced, especially food.
A hidden gem in London.
Always good live music and the food is good and plentiful. Service with a smile and a friendly atmosphere.
Definitely try it.
The place in London for live Jazz manouche.
We were a party of ten+ and the food took a long time to be served.
Service improved when the staff appologied for the day.
If you like this kind of Django Reinhardt inspired jazz get down there.
Great live music, super chilled atmosphere , great service, great food. Best night out in ages!
Great vibe, good food. Loved the live music and the ambiance - a special place!
We visited last night and the food, music and staff are PHENOMENAL! The staff are so charming and funny. I would 100% recommend if you're on a date or as a couple as the gardens really beautiful. They have fairy lights everywhere and the music creates a great atmosphere.
