The best place to eat in Deptford. The mix of flavours in every dish is amazing. Try the doubles on Friday and the veg roti on any day of the week. Made with love and served best with a conversation with the cook, you'll keep coming back!

Just had the most amazing Stew Chicken from here (and I have enough left for dinner). The curry Goat is just as good. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. A gem in Deptford.

Omggggggg! This was one of the best meals I have ever had. I’ve wanted to try this place for so long, so I ordered today on just eat and I’m so glad I did. It came quickly and was piping hot when it arrived. I just want to personally thank whoever cooked the chicken curry and roti because it was sooooo tasty! The fried bake and salt fish was one of my favourite things I’ve ever had, and the value for money is so good! I can’t wait to eat here again!

Very delicious food cooked by lovely owner herself. Good value. Only downside is that this is a takeaway place, so only very limited seating for eating there.

Ever so often, one craves that hearty, honest meal and for me, that’s Chaconia, a Trinidadian restaurant at the heart of Deptford. The simple and clean store front veils the rich and exciting flavours that belie. I ordered the chicken curry and rice and was persuasively nudged by a fellow diner to try the goat curry instead; fortunately, the most generous proprietress indulged my gustatory fancies and offered me a small side of that. It was a plate of absolute joy - both curries had distinct flavours and the meats were perfectly stewed, retaining their structure while being succulent to the bite. The rice was well flavoured and was the perfect accompaniment to those rich curries. At £5, this was an absolute steal. I’ll be back.

Ordered here several times and always a great experience. You can taste it's homemade and the roti reminds me of the Surinamese cuisine. If something is not in stock she'll give you a call and is happy to replace it for something equally as good.

Best Roti's and Curries in town! Its home cooked food brought to your doorstep. If you dare to try their signature hot sauce, you will not be disappointed. Mind blowing! If you're cheeky like me, I put them all in my own pots and nearly convinced my guests I made it myself, until they saw the packaging. I highly recommend for quality, flavour and great value. The Mac pie is also a must try :)
