Great place to watch sports. Plenty of bar staff. Good mix of people. Great place to relax. 4.55 a pint a bit steep through.
Excellent bar food is excellent and staff are very helpful top form Sunday roast excellent it's a must try you won't be disappointed

Good night for karaoke. Just a pity it's on a Sunday night and not a Saturday as I have work on Mondays so I can't go unless I have a day off work, but a lovely atmosphere and very friendly customers and bar staff.
Great pub atmosphere. Good drinks . Very comfortable food looked good , although we didn't eat there but saw many plates being served. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and will definitely be back.

Amazing food. I went to George's yesterday and i must say it was one of the most extravagant, clean, delicious restaurants i have been to in a long time.
The service was phenomenal and the restaurant has such a warm, welcoming vibe to it, this restaurant is the perfect place to bring friends and family.
I strongly recommend this beautiful restaurant to absolutely anyone with a passion for food!

Walked in with no booking at 8pm on a Saturday night- head chef and staff were very helpful and friendly as well as accommodating by finding us a table within 10 minutes even though the whole restaurant at back was nearly full. Lovely tasteful decor, clean and tidy with fantastic Sheftalia and souvlaki (have holidayed in Cyprus and Greece and the food compares well). Great service (we were in and out in 35 minutes without feeling rushed as we had cinema tickets) and food to match (big good value portions, fresh and perfectly cooked meat, rice and veg). Definitely recommended...
This certainly the best fish & chip shop/restaurant in Woodford. Add the very nice selection of Greek dishes and we are lucky to get a double treat. Whether you want to take away your food or eat in the Cody licences restaurant, you won't be disappointed. But it pays to phone first, this should ensure you a table in the busy restaurant or speed up your take-out service. An ace pla(I)ce!
This is probably my favoirite Greek restaurant anywhere. The battered fish is amazing and the service is always friendly and efficient.
I was recommended georges by friends and familly. I took the whole family .it is easy to see why this is an award wining restaraunt, the food is amazing,the staff friendly and helpful . By far the best Greek food I have ever had. I will be telling everyone to go check it out.

All the family love georges. The food and service are brilliant. The staff make the children very welcome, it is our eight year olds favourite place to eat!!!!
George's. I go to georges very often mainly eat in and the occasional take away. I absolutly LOVE the food!! We tend to go for the meze which is great bcos you get a variety of food- dips meats fish... i get stuffed every time! Also they have just won 'londons perfect portion award 2009' this is well earned i think as i think the food and service is great not to forget the chips which are also very very good.
Went to the George pub Woodford with my best mate. It was a girls' night out without the kids. Had chips and bbq chicken, which was very tasty and filling. Also had a glass of lemonade and a rum and lemonade, which was refreshing. The staff were very friendly and easy to have a conversation with. Definitely worth 5☆
Lovely evening - sat outside. Good range of drinks. Lots of space and air conditioned inside if it got too hot. Can't comment on later evening vibe on a Saturday as we left at 8. Wide age range

Close to South Woodford Station and 3 bus routes, which enables you to have a drink and not to drive. Good menu. Tasty Belt loosening food portions. Good service & staff

The food here was ok, the pub had a good atmosphere.The TV screens were showing cricket. There was a private party in one side of the bar and the DJ was bloody awful, we stayed long enough to finish our food then headed to the cinema next door.
Love popping on my Friday afternoon off for couple of pints. Wonderful bar staff and very well kept beer, the menu also looks very appealing but I'm yet to try it. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
What a pub! The George is a wonderful ‘local’ pub with live sports, quiz nights, great food as well a great selection of beers and drinks. I always enjoy my time at the George. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. If you’re in the area, a trip to the George is a must.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely traditional Pub . We visited with a group of friends to watch a football match, screens everywhere and great atmosphere! We couldn’t of faulted anything. The service is unmatched. The staff truly care about your experience especially Martin and Hazel. The food is absolutely amazing. everything we tasted was delicious. Absolutely the best pub experience we had in a long time and that’s not to mention the beer selection wow! Highly recommend!
