This place is really unique. I have never been to a place where you cook your own steak at the table. The restaurant is very spacious. The only negative is, it would have been better if the tables were little bit bigger. By the time you have the cooking stone and the tray in front of you, you don’t have much space for the plate to eat on. The price is decent, you are looking at around £35pp without alcohol.
Food was excellent and cooking your own steak was good fun. Layout needs a bit of work - you can see into the pot wash area from some seats - but overall very good. Not too badly priced either.
Loved my visit here! Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. My favourite dish was the brie fries with the cranberry sauce - yum! <3 This is yet another restaurant which accepts the Dines discount app so I definitely will be returning soon!
Had an amazing meal for my cousin's birthday. I'm not understating when I say their Wagyu burger is the best burger I have ever had. The Wagyu beef was so tender and flavourful. The burger was also cooked to the point it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
We also had the Tomahawk steak which they serve on a piping hot slab that is salted with rock salt. You're meant to cook the steak yourself with the hot slab provided. We had so much fun with this. We also got a small cup of garlic butter to marinate the steak in. The combination of the rock salt and garlic butter was a great touch because all the flavours just exploded. Even the fat off the steak when seared right tasted great.
They even had this unique little serrated butcher's knife to use on the steak which was a nice touch.
I definitely will be coming back here.
Very nice. Got afters free as we didn't like custard. Used groupon voucher so worth it. Mum said the menu was very faded lol but overall she was very happy. Never cooked my own steak out before very good experience.
Hands down, the best steak I've ever had! I loved the fact that each morsel is cooked to your own personal taste on the slab of lava rock that the steak is served on. Fantastic experience, great customer service, and not ridiculously expensive either! 👍👍👍
I found this place on groupon and decided to give it a whirl. Absolutely loved the place, you have to cook your own steak which i admit i was a little skeptical about but it actualy turned out well. Went for a tomahawk steak which was enough for two people and washed it down with a lime & kiwi cider. Excellent customer service, could not fault the staff at all. Only thing missing was some hot sauce.
A novel experience. You are in control of how your meat is cooked. The food was generally tasty and prices were reasonable all things considered. The place itself is modern and clean and the staff are quite friendly and accommodating. The only negatives were that the cheesecake could have been softer/lighter and the peppercorn sauce could have been sieved before serving.
Excellent food, very good service, was quiet at lunchtime and used a Groupon voucher, but would definitely good back and pay full price, maybe not the waygu steak though (£75). Was very very good
Quick lunch steak. Great taste. 'Meh' sides. Have a change of clothes.
The rock cooking experience was interesting, kitchen is exposed which makes for really good entertainment.
I had rump steak and it was very tender.
I didn't like that the steak was laid down flat on the rock and not cut. If I had left it there it would have gradually cooked more and more to charcoal.
The side I chose was mushroom and onion, mushrooms came from a can but the side wasn't terrible. The default side is salad, it had no dressing and the iceberg lettuce was cut with a steel knolife rather than hand ripped because it had oxidised edges and it didn't look good.
I didn't go there for salad or sides, so beef was good.
My last issue is the smoke coming from the cooking stone. If you order garlic butter that makes it worse, there's really no way you can have this for lunch and go for a meeting after.
Got a groupon voucher which was a really good price for a group of 4. Portion sizes were decent. Food was good comfortable seating and the toilet facilities were excellent 💯 I loved the chips 🍟 and I like how you can choose how much you want your steak to be cooked. would deffo recommend this place. Plus it's not too long to walk from aldgate East Station

I am writing after my second visit here. Both meals were amazing. I write as a person with great fondness and appreciation of good food, a true foodie.
The steaks here are so full of flavour that further additions such as sauces and other condiments are not really required. The initial seasoning, and a sprinkle of black pepper are enough to fill your mouth with taste bubbles. The added convenience of the hot rock slabs allow the diner to cook the steak to exactly how they prefer it to be cooked.
This establishment has been created by people who are at a level of experience and know how where they can call the shots. It is great when a proprietor of a restaurant can talk you through the items on the menu, whilst simultaneously assessing the diner's taste buds and finally suggesting a combination that will satisfy lovers of good food, critics or otherwise.
Be sure to check out the desserts as well. We indulged in our meal with such pleasure that we forgot to take pictures of the lovely sticky toffee puddings, with custard, of course, and also the amazing chocolate fudge cake with the flavoursome vanilla ice cream in which you can actually see little vanilla seeds.
Hurry and try this place. It is a true gem.
What an exciting and delightful experience! Steak served on a hot stone slab and I cooked it until I was happy with it. Thrilling lunch! Service was good and well timed.
The food was literally amazing! I‘ve liked the atmosphere and the workers were really nice. Shoutout to Ibrahim;) I would recommend it to anyone who is nearby.
Really good food. Value for money. Met the owner, funny guy. Really made me and my wife laugh. Staff are very welcoming and one of them entertained my daughter while we tucked into the sizzling steak. Had the January Rump Steak offer so made it even better. New kid on the block and a worthy contender for its rivals. Love the meat cleaver style steak knife, makes you want to take it home. You can buy it from them too. Food is served quickly and tastes great. Defo recommend for all. To top it off, its HALAL!!! #Winning
