This place is a lot fancier than I thought when i first laid eyes on it. Pretty big restaurant too. Has a pretty good reputation and heard good things about this place...So I decided to check it out. It was quite busy when I got here; not too busy just a few people and couple families. There's plenty of parking right outside the restaurant and around the area. Few minutes drive from golders green stations. The food is halal. They serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

First thing I noticed was how fancy the place was. Pretty big too. Great atmosphere and buzz in the air. Dim lighting, there were little lotus chandeliers above every other table. Decor was easy on the eyes. Quite an intimate setting. Great place for a date or bringing family here. Plenty of seating area.

Lot of options on the menu. Mostly meat dishes but vegetarian options too. I don't drink alcohol but theres a pretty decent wine and alcohol list (just had a look). I was tempted to get the mix grill for the table but apparently it's not big enough to share for two ( told by waitress). Maybe big enough to share for the table if you had main course each. We were given some yogurt and bread with mixed vegetables while we waited on out food.
Presentation of the food was good. Nothing special but definitely better than average. You can definitely see there was some thought and effort put in.
I ordered the lamb chops which came with some salad and potato wedges. I like my meat well done otherwise i would have just found the animal and started chewing on it. Decent in size, tender and juicy meat. I had my chops spicy and loved the flavour. Could taste hint of coriander in it. Could be the marination. Brother ordered the Barg. Mini Lamb steaks with rice. Initially I saw two steaks on plate with rice. Brother wasn't impressed to say the least.. until he started eating the rice and found two more steaks underneath. Brownie points to the chef for presentation. Chewy and full of flavour, as were the chops. Each dish had a whole grilled tomato which I thought was a nice touch. Tasty too.
We ordered chips for the table but wedges were more than enough to share. Chilli was given on the table. As if to say- You should eat it with this.

Desert was great. Had the peppermint choc chip ice cream. Brother had some sort of saffron and falooda ice cream with lemon and some banana. Wow. Desert was sexy to say the least. Again, good flavour and you could tell it wasn't some cheap crap scooped out of a pound store ice cream tub. Had a lot of fun eating desert. Brother had the mint tea with fresh mint leaves. I ordered the cappuccino. I smell the lavish mint flavour from across the table. Cappuccino tasted much better than the slime you get from Starbucks. I think the presentation for the mint tea was key.

Staff and service was great. Desert was sexy and food filled our belly but wasnt heavy. We had lemonade and tonic with our meals. Downside is I feel the menu is a little pricier than it should be. Sure the experience and good was great but expected a little more for the price we paid. For two mains two deserts a side and two drinks each the bill came to £62. A little more than what I'm used to paying but decided to check the place out anyway. Highly recommended. I feel this would be a great place to bring your woman. If you have the funds, a great place for Xmas dinners or families too.
4.5 stars. A little overpriced- expected a little more for what i paid. Great vibes and great service. Couldn't help but tip the waitress.

I went to Lavash, a Persian restaurant just off the a406 in Golders Green. The restaurant was packed when arrived at 8.30pm but was shown a table for 2. Low lighting and a buzzing atmosphere made for a rather nice environment.
The service was efficient, a bit too efficient I felt a little rushed but nothing to complain about.

For food, I ordered the burger. Yes a burger. A 8oz Angus beef chesse burger. It was good and very simple, I added the house table chilli sauce which was awesome and really hot. Use with caution!

My friend ordered the Koobideh, which is a kofta style kebab. Minced lamb. Now, im not a fan of minced lamb kebabs, but i have to say this one was the best I've had. The taste and texture was perfect. It wasn't dry, every bite got better and I really wanted to savour each moment. The herbs, spices where perfectly balanced. Im getting hungry thinking about it now. I had some while I was having my burger and had a massive case of food envy.

For desert we had a mint chocolate fancy thing. Break open the chocolate and you have some lovely mint ice-cream

Prices where very reasonable, burger with chips and salad was £9.50 and the kebab with chips and salad was only £8.50

Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Very decent Persian place in Finchley, right off the A406. Lavash gets top marks for atmosphere, presentation and food, loses some for service, which although smart and polite was a tad slow and even managed to get our order wrong (it wasn't written down, which is always a recipe for disaster).

Portions were very sizable, and the three starters and three mains proved to be more than enough for the three of us - we could have gotten away with a bit less, reducing the already fair £20 per head bill we received. The Halloumi, Prawns and Houmous were superb, while both grill dishes (kebab and chicken) were excellent. The Lamb and Ocra dish was much better than I was expecting, with a continuous supply of free oven baked bread topping it all off. Needless to say, I overate.

A great place holding it's own against the other obvious choices for Persian food, Lavash is most certainly recommended.

Has a different vibe than any other Persian restaurant I have been to. The service is truly outstanding and the quality of the food is great. They serve nice wine and the bread is always delicious. It is a must visit if your a North Londoner. For starter, definitely go for the mixed platter and go for Barg as a main. For drink, if your a fan of yogurt based drinks, go for doogh as they serve a very good quality one.

The Iranian restaurant "Lavash" is located in North London. I recently had dinner at this restaurant and had a very good experience. The food was very delicious and of high quality. My wife and I ordered the chenjeh kebab and grilled fish, and both dishes were very tasty. The drinks were also very good. The restaurant decoration was very beautiful and attractive, and it had a warm and intimate atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and professional and provided excellent service. The food prices were also reasonable, and considering their quality, I believe that the value of the food is much greater than the price you pay. Overall, my experience at Lavash restaurant was very positive, and I recommend it to all lovers of Iranian food

Fantastic local Persian restaurant with super friendly staff, spacious seating and absolutely delicious authentic food all incredibly good value which is perfect for sharing with family or friends. We shared a few starters including the super tasty hummus and their famous "Mirza (Ghasemi)" blended aubergine dip all served with freshly-baked flatbread alongside a thin and crispy stone-baked garlic bread. For main courses we decided to order a selection of their special dishes including the Momtaz Special (one skewer of juicy delicious grilled chicken on the bone) and one skewer of the most amazing minced lamb kofte (Koobideh) as well as the brilliant orange-spiced saffron rice on grilled chicken. All incredibly well-cooked and clean plates all round. Of course we couldn't resist trying the (superb selection of) desserts including the traditional Persian Ice Cream with Vermicelli and the Mint Trufetto (mint choc chip Ice-Cream in a chocolate shell) plus a Turkish Coffee and Fresh Mint Tea to round off our meal. Overall an outstanding dinner - highly recommended 10/10

Without a shadow of doubt one of the best Persian Restaurants in London. It is amazing the way Lavash Restaurant has achieved such a high standard. Food was absolutely delicious, staff very friendly and accommodating. Prices reasonable for the excellent quality offered . A relaxing and very pleasant surrounding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their tasty and generous servings.

Another gem you have to try. The food was lovely and cooked to perfection, with just the perfect amount of spices. Especially loved the tender meat and succulent chicken pieces which went lovely with the sweet and puffy rice.

Lovely restaurant serving authentic Persian dishes. Lots of choice and plenty for vegetarians and vegans as many of their starters can be vegan. Staff are friendly and accommodating and prices are good. You get big portions and leave full.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Very good authentic Persian food with a twist. The starters are amazing with a good variety of high quality reasonably priced plates to share. In house made Persian bread. The main dishes are equally made with high quality ingredients and tasteful seasoning. Takeaway service. Popular for special occasions. Very good service. Recommended.

Went to Lavash for Sunday lunch food served was Persian which included as starters a cheese dip an aurbergine dip a fresh salad and mushrooms we were served with this fresh flat bread which was being baked on the premises. Very healthy and fresh. For mains we shared between 12 of us lamb shanks served with Persian rice a chicken dish and a grilled fish. All this was also very healthy They served alcohol but I liked the selection of fresh juices which h included carrot, carrot celery and apple and a few others. The only thing I was not happy with was desert which was apple crumble but found it far too sweet but on the whole was pleased with the service and the food.

Last Saturday we had a gathering of 48 guests in this Restaurant. All of them received a very warm and homely welcome. The atmosphere was excellent as was the ambiance. No task was too difficult for the manager (Reza) to perform and the service was ‘‘Par Excellence‘‘. Food looked very appetizing and delicious. I would recommend Lavash Restaurant and with full marks.
